A gem of a roof terrace cafe . Perfect upmarket natural style kept simple, soft colours and plants. Relaxed vibe. Very clean. Wonderful, helpful friendly staff. Watching the boats crossing the Bosphorous over breakfast, brunch, lunch or maybe a cocktail.. life doesn't get much better than this..
The taste of the food was ok. The prices are too high for the quality.
The cocktail was terrible because it tasted like 100% of just alcohol.

The most beautiful view of Istanbul is the 5th terrace. Here Sunday morning breakfast is not satisfied. Friendly and courteous staff and absolutely must go for delicious menus. For driving directions; When I enter the street opposite my Ilkardim hospital, you know who you are.
Stylish restaurant, a bit off the beaten track of the Istiklal Cad. Good food, but not cheap. You should definitely pre-order and in the warm season try to get a place on the roof terrace.
Our experience at 5.Kat was absolutely phenomenal. We did not have a reservation and just walked in there. They accommodated us. They gave us a very nice table with a fantastic view of bosphorous. The food was also amazing. We had Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Indian Chicken Madras, and Chicken Drumstick as our main course. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it is worth every penny. Make a reservation to get a good seat with a nice of bosphorous.

This place has one of the best views in Istanbul but i would only advise you to visit the view and have drinks. The food, is bog-standard and over priced for what its worth. The service is quite poor aswell. It's a shame so much potential.
Great interest and a place of interest. The presentation and flavor were wonderful. The landscape's already ten.
The scenery is fine, the waiters were concerned but the food we said arrived after 55 minutes. And not only for us, but for the tables around us. When we finished our dinner, the side table dishes had not even arrived and we had ordered almost at the same time.

The setting is so cozy and romantic, and gives amazing views on the Bosphorus.
We took some bottles of wine here, locally produced along with a cheese plate. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

I just came here for a drink at 12:45 AM, and they refused to serve me even though there were many other customers still sitting there. I asked if I can have one drink and will leave when others do and they said no they close at 1:00AM. The sign at the door said they close at 2:00 AM.

Very nice view of the city, delicious food, especially lamb ribs. But the booking system turned out to be rather strange, restaurant employees tell visitors that all tables are reserved for a certain time, but in fact the restaurant is half empty.

Insider tip - this restaurant is in a residential building on the 5th floor. So use the elevator, go up and enjoy the evening. It is really highly recommended. A magnificent view of the Bosphorus and a very pleasant atmosphere for a cozy dinner. A reservation for a place with a beautiful view is recommended, or you can go to the roof terrace in summer. A small spiral staircase leads you up. Opening times daily from 5 p.m.
Did your waiters increase, brother? There is no bla bla upstairs. I wouldn't advise you to go anytime because of the waiters.

Wonderful views of the Bosphorus. Exceptional food except waiters should speak much better English. We ordered a small meze, and they brought us a large. The small details are what make the difference and this is inconceivable in a restaurant of this category.

Stunning views of the Bosphorus and Istanbul rooftops. On point and surprisingly affordable cocktails. Menu with something for everyone in which EVERYTHING is delicious and presented beautifully. English speaking servers are top notch: always available but never hovering. I tried the Cambodian style seabass, blue cheese with honey, and a margarita. So good!! We enjoyed our visit immensely and can't wait to return!
Luxurious view of Istanbul, good service. Everything is super. It is advisable to book tables near the glass fence. The prices are above the average for Istanbul, but they are in full compliance with the place. Two dishes and two glasses of wine - about 100 lire. + 10% service.

The worst food I had in Istanbul. Great view, but the food on the airplane to Istanbul was better.. Istanbul is is a great place to for food, and this is last last place where you will find good food. If you are looking for a instagram filler on a rooftop, then you should go here. I ordered the Bulgar with lamb and I must say, the bulgar was ok-isch, but the lamb was tasteless, most likely deep frozen and microwaved heated.. A real crime in Istanbul. My wife ordered the Cambodian seabass .. there was just no way that she could finish that dish. The fish was definitely deep-frozen before. And the whole mix with veggies was just ridiculous. My 12 year old son ordered the grilled chicken and they could not even manage that.. It was tasteless apart from the black burned parts that turned the whole thing into a cardboard taste. In other words, 5kat is an insult to all great chefs and streetfood of Istanbul.
We go to this restaurant more for the incredible view of the Bosphorus than for what is on the menu despite beautiful plates for a good value for money. To get a table on the terrace, it is strongly recommended to book.
Spread breakfast 1 point out of 10. Only 3-4 pieces of cheese, 2 different jams, honey, butter, 1 slice of tomato, 1 slice of cucumber, only scrambled eggs as hot. . 50 TL per person. I do NOT RECOMMEND.Istanbul has a view of the Bosphorus and the sea. I haven't been screwed like that in a long time.
In Cihangir, you can sip your drinks with a magnificent view, an old place with a pleasant ambience. I haven't tried their food, but the cocktails are definitely successful.

Attention for all tourists. went with my friends offer first. Their sea food was frozen. Which i warned them i am allergenic. Then i went second time. They told me they are full but for all night it was not even half full. tried again today, for the last time and chance. And i consider they only have a good wiev. Very arrogant service employees they got !!! Like , if u dont like the food , and tell them how its gonna ve better, they tell u (in front of ur guests "then we dont charge u for that" ) . Very bad cuisine, bad service, only goood wiev. They only aim to serve tourists that will not come back.cause they dont have good menu to be resistant

They are pretty unfriendly when you want to make a reservation. When you call them they say that there is no need for a reservation. But when you go there they say that you need reservation for a dinner!!!
And prices are extremely expensive. There are more beautiful and friendly places than this area... even with the same view ;) So, no need to be cheated...
A beautiful restaurant, a romantic atmosphere, a wonderful view from the terrace, delicious food and attentive staff. I recommend trying shrimps in coconut oil - it is very tasty. Served with vegetables and rice.
Thank the waiters and the manager for the excellent service. They shed a glass of red wine on themselves, the table and the floor. The remains of the wine were immediately removed from the table and the floor, they brought a glass of a new one, and another hot towel was brought in to remove the traces of wine from the dress.

On the 5th day of my stay in Istanbul, I was just moving my local food every day for my first visit to Turkey, but sometimes in a restaurant? And went to 5KAT with my family. It was in a quiet area with a roof top location and I hoped for a hideaway entrance, but everything was disappointing.
Appetizer platter is neither good nor bad, quite normal. The main dish ordered different things for each of the four families, but there was no taste at all, there was nothing to be associated with from the menu, and the prepared food was in-flight meal level. Everyone was disappointed and left. The only salvation was at night. We do not recommend food for anyone going to Istanbul from now! It may be good if it is only a drink while enjoying the night view. It was a space where the concept was not felt at all.
Probably the best view in town. Taste and service are great. Prices are just ok. Style, well, for this kind of places with spectacular view, it should be much better. t's too oldish.
