The city view of the aston hotel is really cool. The breakfast is delicious. Access to SCP is also easy, because it is too cute. So for those who want to remember but drive far away, Aston is really suitable. And for those who are confused, park the aston hotel car, the parking lot is at p4 scp parking. The highest hotel in Samarinda and connected to one of the most complete shopping mall in Samarinda. There is an indoor swimming pool here, so you don't need to worry about sun and getting tanned. Their ballroom is on the 17th floor and it is kinda frustrating if you need to attend big event on the ballroom since there's only two lifts here.

The outside of the building looks small, is located not far from the port, in front of the hotel by cafe and t4 dugem , jg t4 traditional meals. T4 is an underground parking lot, the mall is next to the hotel. The view in the hotel room is really cool, the atmosphere is really dull. Starting from the hill, the forest of the Mahakam River that stretches beautifully . Clean rooms, complete facilities for refrigerators, safes, hairdryers, the rest of the hotel standards. The concept of the viewny room surrounds the swimming pool, so if you don't want the clothes to be closed, then the window will come from the room that is on the other side. Hha . The resto is really good, bykk is just the menu ... it's delicious. Umm ... it's really nice. The service part of the reservation is okay too, so come get a wet towel to increase the pain, please check in. After the cake stand and the typical East Kalimantan craft. In the lobby area, there is also a cafe, it is really good to hang out, but don't hold asep cigarettes. In this case Caucasians stay too. Over all, service excellent. My stay in Aston Samarinda City is okay though I experienced a little inconvenience. I reached the hotel from Balikpapan Airport at about 2300H of 2017 March 09. I presented the Hotel vouched issued by Abbey Travel but the front desk personnel still required me to pay for my accommodation or deposit $ 85 as down payment so I deposited $ 100 coz' I don't have the smaller bill. After which, through this same front desk guy, I ordered dinner, some kind of noodle with tuna chunks with a price tag of 35,000 Rupiah which should have been delivered to my room (room service). I waited for more than an hour until I fell asleep. I woke up next morning realizing that my order was not served.
On 2017 March 11, I paid my 5 days accommodation using my credit card because they will not be accepting dollar through the front desk personnel who happens to be the one in charge when I checked in. He processed the payment and later called me up in my room informing me that he will have to void my payment because my stay was already paid by the agency and he will not be issuing an official receipt for me when I check out.

Nice Hotel with live music at the lobby, 2 star for allowing smokers at the lobby and restaurant. Even with no-smoking sign, smoker are free to smoke. Not very good for non-smokers.

The ballroom is super big and it turns out that it is often used as a place for Friday prayer in congregation. Can make a good sound system effect if there is a training or seminar.

The receptionist is less friendly ... impressing ignorant ... different booking online even though via Aston Direct web it is different 200 rb with direct booking, parking is rather complicated because of joining parking lot mall ... clean room ... nice breakfast
