Asperger/Autism Network (AANE) is a non-profit organization that provides information, education, community, and support for individuals with Asperger's syndrome or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families, and professionals. AANE was founded in 1996 by a group of parents who were seeking support for their children with Asperger's syndrome. Since then, AANE has grown into a leading resource for individuals with ASD and their families.
At AANE, we believe that every individual with ASD has unique strengths and challenges. Our mission is to empower individuals on the autism spectrum to lead fulfilling lives while building a supportive community around them. Information
We provide up-to-date information about Asperger's syndrome and autism spectrum disorder through our website, social media channels, newsletters, workshops, webinars and conferences. Our resources cover topics such as diagnosis & assessment; treatment & therapy; education & employment; relationships & social skills; sensory processing issues; self-advocacy & empowerment.
Education
We offer educational programs for individuals on the autism spectrum as well as professionals who work with them. Our programs include social skills groups for children/teens/adults; executive function coaching; college transition program; vocational training program etc.
Community
