Aspen Outdoor Adventures Review

We had a trip booked to runs Browns Canyon with this outfit on August 1st. Trip was booked over a week in advance. Just days before the trip, someone called to inform me they were canceling/moving the trip because there was not enough water in Browns Canyon. I though that was odd because I had checked the water level earlier that morning and it was running a little over 800 CFS which is ideal for Browns Canyon. Blazing Adventures in now caught in a little white lie. I guess they assumed I knew nothing about rafting and water flows. I opted to cancel the trip and rebook with The Adventure Company (TAC) out of Buena Vista, Colorado. We ran Browns on August 1st with TAC and had an absolute blast. Water flow that day was a little under 800 CFS (very good flow for Browns). There were tons of other boats out there running that day. We even saved ~$100 by running with TAC. I would highly recommend TAC and avoid Blazing Adventures unless you don't mind your intelligence being insulted.

Rafter 1st Timee Had lots of fun!!! Talbit our rafting guide was very professional and knowledgeable. Definitely will ask for him again on our next rafting adventure!!!

We booked a rafting trip and it was one of best parts of our whole vacation. Talbott was an excellent guide and made the experience exciting and fun. I would absolutely recommend Blazing Adventures to anyone visiting Aspen.

Blazing adventures is awesome. Very professional, very safety orientated as well as family like personalities. There was 3 team members assigned to my group and all were wonderful, special thanks to Mr Talbott our raft guide. Very knowledgeable information family like friendliness as well as a great guide.

We went on the upper fork, and is was awesome. We are from miami, fl, and this is our first time rafting and it exceeded expectations. Our guide Ryan, was very funny, but it was clear he was experienced, knowledgable, and kept our safety first priority. Highly recommend this.

We hiked Maroon Bells with Stephanie, Laura and Beau. The guides were knowledgeable, hiked at a comfortable pace for our group and just a lot of fun to be with. I would recommend this company to anyone. Thanks for a fun and wonderful time and a beautiful hike!

Great time. Conrad and Wes were awesome and the driver kept us safe. They were very patient as we got stuck in rocks often. The ride was very safe yet very fun and exciting. My wife and I couldn t have enjoyed more and the hospitality was great. Thanks to the team at Blazing Adventures.

I work for Aspen Youth Center and we have gone on rafting trips with Blazing Adventures for the past 4 summers. They are always so wonderful and great with the kids! They pick us up from AYC which makes things so convenient and seamless for us. They take all the precautions before getting on the river, so we feel very safe and prepared. Once on the river, it is always a blast. They find great spots for the kids to swim and play rodeo. We leave feeling so grateful and exhausted, and they drive us all back to AYC after. I would definitely recommend using their services and have nothing bad to say about this business!!!

We took a large group, including many small children (mine were 4 and 6), on the Sunset Dinner. From the start, the staff were friendly and professional. It was cool and rain was on the way, but they were prepared with blankets for the guests and covers for the jeeps. The drive up the mountain was fun for all and the scenery was beautiful! We arrived at the campsite for a dinner just as the sun was starting to set and the rain ended in time to sit outside. However the cozy little cabin we would have eaten in, had it been raining, would have been fun too. Our kids had so much fun playing on the mountain and they loved making s mores and listening to Rob Monkey play music for a sing along. The guides we had were Irish, Mitch, Nathan and Taylor and each one was wonderful to our group. Thank you Blazing! This is now a must do when we come to the area.

We did the Upper Roaring Fork run, it was a good balance between rapids and floating. Our raft guide, Ryan, was awesome. I would highly recommend this trip.

Matt was an amazing rafting guide. Rafting the Lower Fork was super fun with the kids. He was so patient with our crazy loud kids!! We will be back, thanks Matt!!

For the Last 10 Years, our Family has enjoyed spending a portion of our yearly Colorado vacations with Blazing Adventures. From Whitewater rafting, inflatable kayaking, jeep touring, and Sunset Dinners we have always had an amazing time. Fun, friendly, and knowledgeable staff made for family memories we will never forget! We highly recommend Blazing Adventures!!!

We had the great pleasure of doing the white water rafting. it was the most incredible fun experience we had in the entire trip at Aspen. My wife and kids enjoyed it very much. our guide was extremely professional and thoughtful we had a great time and he guided us safely three times going through the white water rapids.

Love this place. Wes was a huge help in planning out our week in Colorado. They hooked us up with there power assist bikes for two great outings and recommended an alternate rafting place because they booked up. GREAT TEAM!

My concierge (Tyler) at the St. Regis Hotel. booked a rafting trip for the Upper Roaring Fork location. Our guide Olivia was amazing. The rafting session was so much fun! And of course thanks Blazing a Adventures Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a river rafting at Aspen, CO.

Went whitewater rafting on the Slaughterhouse run on the Roaring Fork and had a blast! Conrad, our guide, was awesome. Connor and Taylor who work for operation were also excellent. Super knowledgeable and skilled crew! The run itself was sweet, not many lulls in the rapids. 10/10 would recommend. They had excellent COVID-19 protocols BTW in case you have any concerns

I don't write many reviews but I wanted to write one on behalf Of Blazing Adventures and my mountain bike riding guide, Matt. I was in Aspen recently and had not ridden a mountain bike in about 20 years. I wanted to go on a ride but wanted a guide. Blazing adventures provided me this. It was exactly what I was looking for. Matt was very accommodating and a pleasure to ride with. The next day I rented an E bike and rode to Woody Creek and various other paved trails. I had never ridden an assisted bike- it's quite nice and still some exercise. Dan Boyle

I wanted to write a review on behalf of Blazing Adventures. My husband and I were looking for a transportation company for our August 2020 wedding in Aspen. I had heard nothing but positive things regarding this company! We reached out to Blazing Adventures and communicated with Jessica, who was incredibly responsive and accommodating to our needs. Blazing Adventures also had the best rates in the area for our budget. Sadly, due to Covid-19, we had to cancel our original ceremony site a few days before the wedding. We were no longer in need of transportation services due to the change of location. Blazing Adventures was so understanding and offered a full refund under the circumstances. Despite not having used their service, I'm giving them a five star for their professionalism and communication!

Blazing Adventures is awesome!! We did the jeep ride up the mountain one night and it was amazing!! The view was beautiful and the guides were so nice to us and our kids. We had a blast at the campfire and the kids had fun playing games. The dinner was amazing and the music was great! Thanks for the great time!! We did the rafting a few years ago and it's the best trip we've ever done!!

I cannot recommend them enough! My boyfriend, one of his friends, and I came up to Aspen during the pandemic, and we were worried about how safe it would be, but BA was awesome!! They separated the groups into our own rafts, and were very careful with keeping the groups separate and having everyone wear masks. Jessica, the Assistant Director, is honestly one of the most friendly service reps I have ever had the pleasure to do business with, and was more than accommodating when we had to make some last minute changes. To top it off, ALL of our guides were friendly, spirited, and very good. This was our first time rafting, and I was nervous about the experience, but BA really blew me out of the water with their trip!! If you're on the fence do it!!!!

My girlfriend and I did the Upper Roaring Fork Intermediate Rafting Adventure. One of our guides was awesome and the other one seemed very new. Somehow, maybe because of the seemingly inexperienced guide or perhaps just bad luck, we ended up stuck on a rock within two minutes of the trip. We were stuck on that rock for probably an hour and had to swim to shore in order to free the boat. Our female guide was a total rockstar though. I think I would trust her to take us on any type of adventure. Anyway, after we all got off the raft we were offered to continue but some of the group was understandably exhausted, cold, and frightened, so the trip ended. We got some snacks and got dropped off back at the Aspen office. I ended up getting a refund for the trip, which is excellent customer service, but I did have to ask for it. I think it would have been better if the main office had offered one up front. Overall, I have to say that this company seems to care about the satisfaction of their customers, and our female guide was awesome. I think we will give this company and rafting another shot the next time we visit Aspen.

My family took the half day rafting trip called numbers. We had a blast. Our guides were Talbot and Nick and they were hilarious and knowledgeable!! I totally recommend!!

We just got back from a fantastic summer trip to Snowmass/Aspen and we used Blazing Adventures to book and arrange all of our activities. Whitewater rafting, jeep tour, Maroon Bells Bike trip, etc...all were top notch. Truly could not say enough good things about this outfit. We had a blast with everything we did and their staff was a huge part of it. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again

My Airbnb host was one of the guides for Blazing Adventures, which is how I first heard about them and decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did! I got to meet several of the guides and they are all a blast. My guide was Kate and she made my first rafting experience so much fun, full of thrills, and I always felt safe. They all clearly love what they do and want to make sure everybody has a great experience. They will be my first choice for rafting next time I'm in the area.
