RENTER BEWARE!!!!!!! DON'T RENT FROM ASHTON TENLY!!!!!!!!!

Ashton Tenly will take your money for charges that aren't from you! We went through 2 landlords (our place sold while we were renting) then management was handed over to Ashton Tenly. When we originally moved in, there were several things wrong with our place. I emailed the original landlord updates that we had found 1 week after moving in, and he didn't update it, nor did he have photos to show the buyer. When the new owner Guenett Cook (bad landlord to deal with) purchased, I showed her everything wrong, and she did minimal repairs when major things happened, like replacing the stove, but didn't fix the small things. We had a water leak under our dishwasher, and when it was replaced, the floor guys that came to dry out our crawl space cut our carpet in the hall. We went without carpet for months in the hall and I had a baby in the crawling stage. When Ashton Tenly took over management from her, they were rude and condescending when you talked to them. At least Chris B was. Jamie was nice, but wasn't the manager. Chris B. charged us over a $1000 in repairs that were already broken when we moved in, but since the original landlord didn't give us an addendum, we were stuck with the bill. Out neighbors who moved out a few months before us had a similar issue with you.

They will literally charge you $20 for a lightbulb if it is not replaced when you leave. They charged us $40 x 3 for toilet seats that were functional, but since they were stained from years of use, they felt they needed to stick us with the replacement bill. Out of a $1700 deposit, we received $300 and my mom and I spent 3 DAYS cleaning the place from top to bottom.

Don't bother cleaning when you move out, Ashton Tenly will stick it to you and charge you for every little thing they can. They are not easy to deal with.

I bought 3 rental properties a few years back, but because I have a full time job over the other side of town it was not convenient for me to manage my rental properties.
Ashton Tenly has been wonderful throughout the process. They helped me select rent-able properties, and gave me a good idea of what monthly rent I could expect before I bought the properties. They helped me fix up the properties before they were initially rented, and they are great at keeping the properties maintained. We are both interested in keeping our current tenants. I am also willing to accept pets.
All the staff at Ashton Tenly are so friendly and helpful, working with tenants and owners.

Edited to reflect getting over my frustration. Customer service and front desk staff were pretty weak. Not helpful or flexible and a bit rude. I was jerked around pretty hard when I first went to rent a boat storage space and they held the last remaining one over my head in weird ways. At the end of my 1st month I was unfairly charged a late fee because their auto pay is a joke. In both instances staff was unhelpful and pretty condescending. The actual RV boat storage spaces were totally fine though and worth 4 stars.

I was a tenant for 3 years and my concerns and problems were always addressed in a timely and professional manner. Jamie is courteous and understanding and always made sure my family and I were happy in our home. Their repairman Camilo was excellent as well. Not only did he repair what needed to be repaired but would explain how to avoid problems in the future. Thanks for everything Jamie, Camilo and the Ashton Tenly family!

Ashton Tenly found the most neurotic OCD tenant possible for my property and the spent thousands without my permission, on issues that only existed in the mind of the tenant. Hindsight being 20/20, always get a llc to hold your property deed, get insurance and always have a clause in property management to only allow expenditure with the written permission of the property owner. If you were a naive chump, like me, expect to be taken advantage by Ashton Tenly.

Ashton Tenly has managed my personal rental portfolio for 7 years now. They have always been professional with each my properties, notifying me when there is upkeep maintenance required on my part, and collected from renters who have damaged or destroyed a property. They have helped me keep my costs down with their own maintenance crew for most of my minor projects, and let me select work I am willing to put in to a rental after a move out. I have been really happy with how they have handled my investment homes, even when things haven't gone as planned.

Ashton Tenly managed my property for over 4 years. I had great experience with them! Louis, Jamie & Kristy were friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my tenants and I were happy. The maintenance performed on my property was first rate and reasonably priced. They offer first class service and i wont hesitate to use them again if I decide to rent my property again.

I first saw their home for rent on zillow and was very impressed. I also checked their website for more listings that were similar to my interest.
The home I was interested in was lovely and what I loved was the flooring and that it had everything I was looking for for a great price. I quickly received a response and was encouraged to tour and apply. I also received an email if I was still interested. I appreciated the updates regarding if the house was still for rent through txt and Louis was very nice and courteous. I had an awesome experience with Ashton Tenly property management. They allowed me to express my unique situation and they were willing to help. I would definitely recommend this company. Although the unit was taken I was informed that I would be promptly notified for a listing similar to to my interest. I definitely would be renting with them in the future and or would consider buying a home if they also offer those services. I'm also studying Real Estate and I acknowledge the efforts of fiduciary services this agent has for his propective clients. I hope to work with a great company such as this when I get my license.

This would be a 5 Star review, were it not for the leasing agent who was our initial contact with Ashton Tenly, who is no longer with the company. She was not in the least accommodating, lacked basic information and made several errors in the paperwork that added steps for us during the moving transition and first month we were here. I won't belabor the point, since we are now very pleased with the increased communication, efficiency and quick responses by the staff, Jamie Ramirez in particular. She has taken care of the few maintenance issues required quickly and the work has been done by a professional and skilled technician. The lease renewal process was quite simple and she coordinated well for both tenant and owner. A pleasant change for the better!

Ashton Tenly has been our property management company for about 4 years now and we are very happy with our experiences with them. The management is excellent in communicating with us and provides us options on how to approach issues that arise. Ashton Tenly is fair in presenting issues that affect us as landlords as well as the concerns of the tenants. I was happy to recommend a friend to them and I believe that that friend is happy as well.

This is a -1 star. With that being said I strongly recommend everyone to stay away from this company when you are looking for a rental. I sold a duplex to them and continued renting from them. I resigned a lease, a month after I signed the lease I had serious health problems that forced me to have to move closer to family to help me with my kids as I am a single mother. I informed them of all of this and told them I was giving my month notice and asked them if they could Maybe give me a break on the lease termination. They came back and said no and proceeded to give me a ledger of 3,750 for move out. They said they would possibly give me a little break if the house was in good shape when I moved out. So as a good person I did all I could do when I moved out. It was clean and empty. Needless to say I got a claim from my renter's insurance from this company. So not only are they charging me nearly 4k but now they are going for money from my insurance. Thank goodness I took pictures and have been in contact with my realtor that sold this duplex to them. This review is a strong heads up on why you should stay far away from this company. They will rape you for every dime they can get. I do not know how they sleep at night with all of the screwing they do to people.

Ashton Tenly has managed my rental home for over five years. They've done a great job keeping my property leased at market rates and minimizing any vacancy during turnovers. They also help advise when maintenance is needed and handle it promptly. Jamie and Louis are very helpful. I'd highly recommend Ashton Tenly!

This review reflects how myself and my roommates were treated and talked down to the entire year we rented from Ashton Tenly. If I could give negative stars we would be at -20 people. I remember reading the reviews prior to moving in and thinking "it can't be THAT bad" OH IT CAN! Here are just a few examples: I was talked down to just for asking a simple question while I was waiting for my application to be approved. We were lectured via email after we had a walk through just days after Christmas. The 5 of us worked full time and all had to travel for the holidays so our home wasn't spotless when they did their walk through (wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, suitcases kind of strewn about). Excuse me but if spotless was required you could have clarified instead of write a nasty email to us all after the fact and then demand that we respond to you when we all ignored you, yes you Jamie. Lastly, when issuing our deposit back, they asked for our forwarding addresses. We happily gave our new addresses thinking nothing of the fact that 3 of 5 of us moved OUT OF STATE yet they sent 1 check with all of our names on it. NO BANKS WOULD CASH IT! They all required we all be there in person before evening toying with the idea of cashing it. When we all called Ashton Tenly they just kept saying it was a liability if they sent separate checks, or if they sent a new check with just 1 name on it. The deposit was way too high and the property management way too rude. Save yourself some strife and find another place to live. Also, they are located in the deep dark depths of Hillsboro so keep that in mind when you're planning on signing your lease.

Ashton-Tenly was the worst housing management company I have ever dealt with. Not only did they excuse poor behaviors of the property owners(Unannounced Check-ups on the property) but honored their absurd discrepancies with landscaping upkeep. Dead of July and no grass growing? Must mow it! They took a month to fix or replace utilities, with their hired handyman canceling. They made casual note of rotting caulking in the bathrooms, without fixing it and instead focusing on decomposing leaves in the yard. DON T ever take over someone else s lease through this company, they will penalize you for accidentally bounced checks of long gone lease holders- people you don t even know, or live with, and force you to deliver your rent to their office all the way out in Hillsboro. They charged anything they possibly could for document signing and transfer, they stuck us with the exuberant fees of having keys made that prior tenants never returned, they had a clause for $45 replacement of standard lightbulbs at move out, under the pretext Well what if they aren t standard tho? They admitted to using threats and harsh penalties to speed up processes to my co-signer, there s nothing mutually respectful about doing business with these people.

If you re reading this as a landlord looking for a property management company- know that they accidentally sent out an email intended for our property owner to each tenant- at different properties, listing the locations of each property. Highly unprofessional, and even dangerous.

It s an unfortunate reality of the internet that most reviews function merely as an opportunity for the disgruntled to vent. The satisfied customer rarely finds a need to search out a forum or to use such a venue to sway the opionion of the populace to their positive views. When searching reviews one must keep this perspective: there are always two sides to a story. This review is a factual, non-biased attempt to even the playing field. Ashton-Tenly and Chris Baidenmann managed the condo I leased and did a superb job of it! Upon moving in, their handyman promptly attended to any issues I needed fixed and actually installed a pot rack for me in the kitchen. A garage door opener issue was quickly resolved. Chris is fair but firm: she knows the property management business and tenant/ owner rights. She is a business woman and Ashton-Tenly is in business; they are not a philanthropic organization. So, expect a contract to be a contract with them. All contractual information, including repair/ replacement costs are listed in their leases: read it before you sign it and expect it to be followed to the letter. Upon departure from the condo, I left a clean residence and was charged for damage repair according to the pricing in the lease contract. Do I think the charges were a bit high? Yes. But, I signed a contract and understood the consequences for not holding up my end of the agreement which was to leave the residence as I found it. From a renter s viewpoint, I would not hesitate to recommend an Ashton-Tenly managed property as a residence. The staff at Ashton-Tenly were friendly, helpful, and treated me with respect. I can assure you that my experience as a tenant was satisfactory to above average.

We are renting storage spaces at River Road Boat & RV storage in Hillsboro, Oregon. This lot is managed by Ashton Tenly.
If they rent out nearby spaces to other large vehicles or trailers and you are unable to move your own vehicle out because it's blocked -- you're SOL! They will tell you that you can stay at a hotel or pay to have someone try and get it out for you.
They are not responsible enough to make sure they designate spaces in the storage lot considerately to ensure all vehicles are able to safely move in and out of the tightly cramped lot before assigning one to a space.
Once you're stuck in their lot you will be forced to pay rent to them until you can remove your vehicle.
This could very well be illegal. Instead of calling a tow company (who couldn't get it out either) -- try calling the police department.

We were long-term house renters with Ashton Tenly and had a great experience. Rent was fair, and when a few minor issues with the house arose over the years, they were addressed quickly and effectively. The office staff was always friendly and professional. Definitely recommended!

They will spend your money without your consent on work that is irrelevant, which you told explicitly you didn't want done. Ashton considers your rental income theirs. They always side with the tenant and are only working for their interests, not yours. Rent from them and expect everything to be more than any other manager, so they can get their cut and don't expect any deposit back.

For over a year we have lived in an Ashton Tenly home. When we were scrambling to find a rental because prior landlord was selling, we were able to move in within a week after applying. The staff has always been professional and exceptional when it comes to repairs and communication. We recently had minor repairs as well as a few in the past(certainly nothing major as they make sure their homes are well taken care of) and the maintenance employees are fantastic. They are courteous, willing to listen, and explain everything they have done in order to answer any questions . I consider these individuals great at their jobs and you can tell they really enjoy working for Ashton Tenly. I would definitely recommend this property management company to anyone looking for a rental.

This is our second year with one of their properties and i must say that we have been very happy the way they run the company. Jamie always respond in a timely manner to any issues or concerns that I have. Loiue the property manager has been nothing but nice and friendly from the day he showed us the properties that they own/manage and finally out of the gazillion properties i looked at, i ended up with one of theirs. The property even though dated, was clean and all the pre move in inspections i noted were fixed immediately. It is priced accordingly and the area is safe and quiet. Calling for maintenance used to be a hassle in previous places we stayed at but with Ashton, it is a breeze with Camillo, their very charming and equally friendly maintenance guy knocking at your front door with his biggest smile even the same day you called in for maintenance. The convenience of online bill pay is also a plus. Overall, kudos to the management and team of Ashton Tenly. Keep up the good work!

We have been renting from Ashton Tenly for 4 years. After our first year with them, the owner of the house we were living in decided to sell it so we had to move. Ashton Tenly helped us get into another one of their rentals in time and we have been living there ever since. (Did I mention we have a 125 lb German Shepherd. It's not easy finding a rental that will allow him) They are always very quick to respond to maintenance calls even non emergency ones! Jamie and Chris and the maintenance staff are all super friendly and wonderful to work with!

They're cool people here, I'm pretty sure they don't like me but I don't really care my house is beautiful they fix everything right away. Washer broke and they put in a new one in a day. They worked with me in the hardest year of my life. Staff is all very friendly and professional. Although I dont think they should text their tenants, Jamie is always on her game! Great prices beautiful neighborhood amazing neighbors and wonderful management company. I do wish they would buy the property around the office and fix it up.

I called to inquire about renting a spot. I don t usually leave bad reviews but this place was pretty bad. The person I spoke to was probably the rudest person I have ever encountered. She was short and snippy and told me she didn t know what type of plugs they had there and when asked for contact information for the owners she refused to give it to me. I wouldn t be writing this review with one star if she she had. I really don t know why a place would choose to keep someone in staff who acts like that. I Do not recommend. There are plenty of other places who actually want your business.

Edit to respond to owners comments below: First, if you think the rude way she was talking to me from the start was professional then you obviously don t know what good customer service looks like!! She repeatedly raised her voice and talked down to me! How is that good? Furthermore, if you read the rest of the reviews on here I am NOT the only one complaining about her bad attitude but you keep defending it. She also didn t just ask for more information she told me that I was only allow to recharge my batteries. I repeatedly responded. Great that is what I have. she refused to accept that as an answer. She also asked for schematics of my truck drawn up. Which was totally unessary because I repeatedly told her nothing was be running when not In use. Furthermore, all she has to do was say you don t allow business there instead shreaking at me when she didn t understand what I was talking about. And yes I have only left a total of 3 bad review for other companies in my entire life. The one you refer to was from over a year ago and news flash buddy anyone can look at my profile and see that.

Edit Edit to add: way to show your true colors there by personally atticking my viewpoint of other places I received bad service; as if that somehow excuses the way your employee talked to me. It doesn t excuse her behavior and your response is all the more reason others should be wary of this company!

I highly reccomend North Plains Rv and boat storage. They knew exactly what amperage their rv storage plugs are and knew what an inverter system is and had no problems providing me with a place to store my truck. They also didn t talk down to me or raise their voice. They are nice and professional they didn t need an electrician to look at my truck or have schematics drawn up.

Ashton Tenley has been great to work with. They have managed our property since 2007, and have been great at helping secure stable renters who have cared for our property. In addition they have had an amazing maintenance crew that kept the home in great condition. They have even helped out as we have needed to get our property ready to sell. We highly recommend them. If you own properties that need to be managed and maintained Ashton Tenley is a great fit!

I have been an Ashton Tenly tenant for going on fifteen years and as a Disabled Veteran and pet owner I have found this company and their management and maintenance services to be the best in the business!
I have live across this United States in my long life and over seas while serving in the Navy and have Never received the courteous, respectful and personable care and service than with Ashton Tenly.
Most who write these reviews tend to be tenants with a grudge due to being evicted for not paying rent or such and I realized that an tenant such as myself should let the public know the truth.
The majority of tenants are long standing and plan to stay permanently with Ashton Tenly not because of location, but because of Ashton Tenly the company! Their service is above and beyond and that goes for their maintenance as well as all other departments.
I am blessed to be their tenant and I adore my remodeled kitchen and bathrooms!
Take note of who is writing the review you are reading as with Ashton Tenly I look forward to many more anniversaries celebrated as their tenant!
