This is a nice apartment building. But, if you're not prepared to pay EXTREMELY HIGH electric bills I would NOT recommend this place. Literally, I'm looking at $700+ electric bill with each "monthly" bill being OVER $300 dollars. I'm not kidding. It's insane and outrageous! So, I just knew something was wrong with my meter. Because we just moved in October 16th. We had to pay a $300 deposit which was fine. But, my husband and I was not prepared to be billed for electricty we don't use. We both have full-time jobs getting in at 7PM and 11PM Monday thru Friday. Literally, we're preparing for bed. When I contacted BGE, they said TRUST me, it's not just you. Unfortunately, you live in a building that is ALL electric and that's the price you pay when to select an apartment that has electric stoves, etc. They also said, It wouldn't be so bad if the building had a gas pipe to off-set the electrical pipes. This was a HUGE disappointment to hear. So, guess what, SOMEBODY is getting VERY RICH off of every tenant that resides in this building. If I were you I would truly rethink your decision to select this place as your home. It's not fair and management REALLY needs to step and do something.

I feel like the Management team can do something about this issue and I'll tell you why. My husband and I just moved for an ALL electrical building called the Lenox Park Luxury apartments paying $1,682 p/mnth. (utilities not included). Yes, it was expensive. But, when you can afford to pay the amount it's called a blessing. The other wonderful benefit is the "monthly" utility bills (water & electric) were ALWAYS under $100. I'm not kidding. This building was also ALL ELECTRICAL. The catch is the Management team look into a budget plan that worked. They divided one big ass bill between a 15 floor high-rise building with 25 to 30 units on each floor. You do the math. We were here for 4 1/2 yrs. LOVED it! But, we wanted to move closer to our church. So, that's what we did.

Horrible property manager she s very confrontational and rude. Also as I was headed to view an apartment there were several vehicles that were broken into. Rude manager in a high crime area. Do not lease here.

I lived here for 4 years, never locked my door, my neighbors were like my parents, the staff as annoying as i probably was always had a smile and a solution for everything. Property manager always goes above and beyond has a keen eye for detail, anything fishy she noticed and fixes it usually caused by outsiders, maintenance is always available and they have events for tenants with actual catered food. Always fresh cookies and great coffee. Awesome schools, great shopping and restaurants. I would never leave if i wasn t relocating. The lady that owns the dance studio is a pest and harasses tenants over parking, but other than her best community ever! My son and i will miss our home

I will not advise any one to live here. Parking is terrible, some of the appliances are still old, thieves have been stealing tires of people s cars and leaving them on blocks, (this just happened a week ago.. 6 cars had all 4 tires stolen off off them.. can you imagine waking up getting ready to head to work and see your car on blocks?? Smh.. and the management is not doing anything about it!) the hallways smell of marijuana ( it s terrible).. people actually smoke marijuana in their apartments and nothing is done about it.. the rent is terrible and the cooperate office The Donaldson Group are the worst people you will ever want to deal with. Thieves. I wish there was a way to give the Zero stars. They don t deserve a 1 star..

I love this place! After two years of a wonderful experience, I decided to not renew my lease to be closer to work! So I went on this sojourn to find a place that s impeccable as this one and comparable in price. While I did find complexes that met my standard in those areas, none could match the stellar customer service I receive here at Ashbury Courts! From the beginning to now, Aleka Williams, the property manager, has been nothing but wonderful and spectacular ! She s available and accessible, but more than anything she s human! She empathizes with her residents all while being fair and consistent! She holds herself to high standards and those are evident in the way she maintains the property and treats this whole community. Additionally, the maintenance team, Lonnie and Rene, work their butts off, and whatever goes wrong, they make it right. So needlessly to say, but I shall say anyway, I decided to remain here at Ashbury Courts. It s quiet, well-maintained, and a lovely place to call home! Donaldson group please don t ever take these gems, Aleka, Lonnie, and Rene from us, and I hope you appreciate them like we do!

When I moved here I was nervous about all the car issues reviewers were mentioning and was assured it was an isolated incident the villains were caught. Turns out it wasn't just this community but businesses as well who were apart of a larger scheme. Since becoming a resident I have had no issues with crime or my apartment. For months I was confused as to how my apartment could still have that new apartment smell. The community is small and general interactions are met with a smile. If you are looking for a home look no further than Ashbury Courts.

I ve been living here since March and it s been a great experience. I really love my apartment; its very cute and spacious. The staff is nice and the Valet Waste service is very convenient. I have no complaints.

My move in experience was great. The unit is clean and very well maintained. The staff are swift to respond to resident request and address issues promptly. They can improve on taking phone calls at the leasing office though or atleast return calls. On the whole it's a beautiful and conveniently located community with great ammenities. I would recommend to anyone that seeks a serene atmosphere to make their home.

The property manager is nice and welcoming before moving in but once you sign that lease it s over. We have lived at this complex over 3 years, experienced flooding, leaky ceiling, faulty smoke detectors (constantly waking me up in the middle of the night) (recently)roaches infestation and very poor customer service and I truly regret staying there for that long. When I brought the issue about the roaches up to the property manager she informed me that they were in fact spreading throughout the building, starting from a lower floor. You shouldn t have to wait until a tenant brings this issue up if it has already been addressed by another tenant in the past. The entire complex should have been treated to prevent this from occurring. We have inquired about the other issues and nothing was done to compensate for our inconveniences, just continued to get the run around. So disappointing and I m so glad that I don t stay there anymore. It is overpriced and terrible parking. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Nice and spacious apartments. However, with the high rent prices being offered, the owners/management could provide tenants with more amenities. The community is lacking a pool, balcony, rooftop and other amenities being offered by competitors claiming to be a luxury brand. There is ample space within the community grounds to create a nice gated garden area with grills for the tenants (at the least). They could also work on security and parking. On a more positive note, the maintenance supervisor, Lonnie, is AMAZING! He treats residents like family; and that makes all the difference.

I've lived at Ashbury Courts for two years now and have enjoyed my experience. Rent is around market rate and some of the amenities (Gym, Valet Trash, Package Receiving, Resident Events) make it a potentially great community, however, the recent uptick in criminal activity and vandalism have not only myself but the entire community on edge and wondering what management will do to resolve these issues and help protect their leaseholders. Over the past several months, many cars have been vandalized/Broken into. Just on Sunday Night (Aug 5th, 2018), three resident's cars had their rims and tires stolen, two had broken windows. Approximately three days before this happened we received notices on our doors letting us know of the need to be watchful and that the on-site security is working with Howard County Police to address the safety issues. The on-site security leaves much to be desired, I am not personally aware of what he does exactly other than live on the premises. Our access to the building is controlled and while that may offer the appearance of safety, I've run into people yanking the side doors to stairwells open and even leaving them slightly ajar, allowing anyone access. This was typically concerning when the Bottom of the Bay was open and many drunk patrons would be inside the building. Another safety concern is the lights in the parking lot, unfortunately between 10:00am and 10:00pm residents are not allowed to park in the front of the parking lot as it is reserved for retail patrons, we are subject to towing if we do park there and it really isn't fair as we all pay rent, you do have the option to pay extra for a reserved space but the three cars that were vandalized were in these spaces so it really doesn't offer you much. This is also concerning because the lighting throughout the complex isn't as bright as it could be. Coming home late at night, it's concerning to walk through the dimly lit areas. Overall, Ashbury Courts has the potential to be a great community, however, the many safety issues not adequately addressed should give pause to any prospective renter and current leaseholder. We deserved to live in a community where we feel safe and until management does more to ensure that, I would not recommend this property.

In need of new leasing consultants. The leasing consultants here don't know what their doing and very unprofessional. It seems like they just hired people to stand in I don't think their real leasing consultants because they are clueless about everything .

As far as the apartment itself, my major issue is how the parking is being handled and Management is a whole different story. The Leasing agent is to the extreme very unprofessional. She feels as though she can talk to people however she pleases. I continue to meet residents who end up breaking their lease due to the way way the leasing agent "runs" things here.

Parking is a hassle. They have confusing parking signs. My mother vehicle was towed. Inspections and annoying fire drills that sound through during the day. I mean come on I work night shift! As for the office staff could be more helpful to the residents that have already established the lease thier!

I don't know about any other leasing agent but I can tell anyone that Ms. Campbell is at the top of her game In the position she holds at the Ashbury Courts in Laurel, she is most attentive to new and old tenants, she is patience beyond belief and her knowledge of the area and this building is beyond questions. The units rent themselves with Ms. Campbell as the guide. She deserves five stars and so does this building and the people you meet and greet here

I want to warn future tenants before making the same mistake I did. Since I moved into this apartment complex June 28 2018. The leasing agent and property manager was nice and smiling making me feel welcomed before you move in but once you sign the lease there attitudes change completely. They re true colors begin to show. The leasing agent has the worst customer service. You can t get the hold of them to put in a maintenance request. I send an email and put a request in online still no feedback. I m a single mom, I work my butt off to pay rent here. Let me be one day late on rent that's when they can respond and begin harassing me but can t get the service request done or notify me when it will be done. Don't think your information given to the leasing office is private the leasing agent gives your information away to different tenants. I've had tenants come knocking on my door and told me the leasing agent gave it to them. This is the first time this ever happened to me with apartment living. The only good thing about this apartment complex is there maintenance supervisor when I pass him or have a chance to speak with him he's very professional and always there to offer help.

As far as the apartment its nice. The property manager Ms. Williams is always helpful, and friendly. I see some people complain about parking. before I moved here I did my research and saw the negative reviews about parking and just purchased my own parking space. Problem solved. Overall I think its a good community with good people.

ASHBURY COURTS IS HELL ON EARTH. THE FIRST WORD THAT COMES TO MIND IS DISGUST. THE SECOND WORD THAT COMES TO MIND IS FILTH. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE MAIN DOOR, YOU WILL BE GREETED WITH BITS OF TRASH AND NAPPY HAIRBALLS/WEAVE IN THE ELEVATORS AND A CLOUD OF THE MOST PUNGENT, INTOXICATING FUNK YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE. THEY DONT HAVE HOUSE KEEPERS, YET THEY RAISED THE RENT. WHEN YOU GO IN THE ELEVATOR YOU WILL BECOME IMMEDIATELY NAUSEATED BY THE SMELL AND THE GRIMY LOOK OF THE WALLS AND FLOOR. THE HALLWAYS ARE DISCOLORED AND OILY AND SMELL ON EVERY FLOOR. BOTTOM-LINE: DON'T MOVE HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE. BOTTOM-LINE AGAIN: IF YOU WANT TO LIKE COMING HOME, DONT MOVE HERE!
