This is a nice apartment building. But, if you're not prepared to pay EXTREMELY HIGH electric bills I would NOT recommend this place. Literally, I'm looking at $700+ electric bill with each "monthly" bill being OVER $300 dollars. I'm not kidding. It's insane and outrageous! So, I just knew something was wrong with my meter. Because we just moved in October 16th. We had to pay a $300 deposit which was fine. But, my husband and I was not prepared to be billed for electricty we don't use. We both have full-time jobs getting in at 7PM and 11PM Monday thru Friday. Literally, we're preparing for bed. When I contacted BGE, they said TRUST me, it's not just you. Unfortunately, you live in a building that is ALL electric and that's the price you pay when to select an apartment that has electric stoves, etc. They also said, It wouldn't be so bad if the building had a gas pipe to off-set the electrical pipes. This was a HUGE disappointment to hear. So, guess what, SOMEBODY is getting VERY RICH off of every tenant that resides in this building. If I were you I would truly rethink your decision to select this place as your home. It's not fair and management REALLY needs to step and do something.
I feel like the Management team can do something about this issue and I'll tell you why. My husband and I just moved for an ALL electrical building called the Lenox Park Luxury apartments paying $1,682 p/mnth. (utilities not included). Yes, it was expensive. But, when you can afford to pay the amount it's called a blessing. The other wonderful benefit is the "monthly" utility bills (water & electric) were ALWAYS under $100. I'm not kidding. This building was also ALL ELECTRICAL. The catch is the Management team look into a budget plan that worked. They divided one big ass bill between a 15 floor high-rise building with 25 to 30 units on each floor. You do the math. We were here for 4 1/2 yrs. LOVED it! But, we wanted to move closer to our church. So, that's what we did.
