If I could it would be only -10stars . Damaged my phone. They're not technicians they're bunch of want to bees

The owner is knowledgeable but his attitude is cocky and lacks professionalism. He came into my cell phone store wanting me to offer his services to my clients. Half of the time he spent trashing other repair places in town instead of explaining why his service was the one for my clients. I have since directed people to his business for in depth electronics work because I know he's capable. The attitude is definitely going to turn a lot of people off.

Recently I got my son's LCD on his Iphone 6s repaired there and they did an excellent job! Even replaced the tempered glass screen protector I had on the phone for no extra cost!!! Called for service on a computer problem. They came out quickly and said there was a critical failure and best option was a new computer. I authorized them to order it. They said it had to be prepaid. I paid them $756 and was told I would have the new computer in 3-5 days. So far it has been 10 and no computer. Not even the parts to build it. Everyday when called, there is some shipping excuse. I asked for a refund and was told they don't give refunds. I asked to talk to the owner. I got voice mail and no return calls. I went in the store today, very upset and the guy behind the counter laughed at me. Made me very angry. Clearly they don't care if I ever get a computer, they won't give a refund, and the owner will still not return a call. What ethical business does not give a refund, especially when they can't produce a product in the time they said? The y really don't deserve any stars. If I ever do get it, I'm afraid to use it. The attitude they have worries me that they would give it to me intentionally being corrupt.

Great, friendly, professional service. Took my laptop in for a screen repair. Dropped off the laptop at 5:30 p.m., the part was in stock, and it was repaired the next morning for a very reasonable price.

They're not the worse place in Dekalb. Definitely not the best though. I took my phone there to get it repaired, (the back light of my phone went out) in the process of doing this, it took a week to get my phone because no one called to inform me that my phone was already fixed although I was told someone would. That's not even the worse part, after a week I go and pick up my phone, I try to plug headphones into my phone and the headphone port was broken. Fortunately they fixed that free of charge. After finally getting my phone back, within 5-6 months the screen had the exact same problem. Now I don't accredit that to armor tech, but after all of that and based off some of the reviews I thought the people there could actually fix my screen longer than 6 months, but I'd rather take my business elsewhere.

Tim is the best person in armor he knows what to do fix toys because on December 24th he's fixing a Furby you you know from the 90s

Were honest and straightforward about their repair policies and were able to diagnose the issue to me in the time that they originally stated.

This place is absolutely freaking horrible! do no take your phones her people. For starters they ordered the part and said it would be there in 2 business days, and i was with out my phone with out a week. Secondly, I had then replace my charging port and i go to pick my phone and the guy tells me my screen was broken in the process DO NOT GO THERE! i repeat do not go there!

I was incredibly pleased with the service I received from Armor Technologies. I recently sent in a computer because I tried to do a fresh OS install by myself....mistakes were made, and I needed Professional assistance. Not only did the technician save my computer, and not need to do a reformat (which I dreaded), he installed all the new parts that I asked for and helped me upgrade to a new case. When I came in to pay for my service, I was incredibly surprised at the low cost. I was expecting to pay well over $300, with repairs, and upgraded parts, I only paid about $200. Incredibly cheap for the quality of service that I received. There are not many options in DeKalb for computer repair, but I must say, Armor Technologies is definitely the best and lowest cost option available within the city. P.S. all of the front counter employees were very friendly and helpful, I definitely enjoyed my experience here and will come back. Ryan

My brother recently passed away and I inherited his laptop. I was only in town for a few days and brought the computer to Armor to get the password removed and get any data off it. The lady was very nice and helpful. I was able to get the laptop back before I had to go back out of town and for a very reasonable price. If I lived nearby, I would use them again, maybe they can come open a location in Florida :)

1 Star is Being WAY TOO Generous! The worst experience ever! I can't even fathom how such a organisation is this inefficient. They never called me back about my repair. It took them over a month to get my computer back, even though they said it would just take a week. Not only was the owner(David) rude but uneducated about computer systems.

Bought a used computer. Didn't work correctly. They made it right. I will be bringing them my laptop for repair

Not only was the service quick, friendly, and understanding, Michelle alone-- the "techretary" as she called herself, smiling warmly--is worth giving Armor Technologies your business. She was a shining star in my moment of utter panic and distress. On top of that, AT's prices are reasonable, their techs all smiled at me when we made eye contact, and the manager himself got off of a phone call to address me when I asked for him. Michelle was informative, professional, and above all that--just plain kind. If the techs are anything like their spokeswoman, they are all a credit to the city of Dekalb and made my day just that much brighter. Thank you, Michelle. They ought to give you a raise :)

This place is a freaking joke with HORRIBLE customer service. Make sure to keep receipts of repairs because they will try to charge you for double repairs. Currently waiting over a week for a computer to be fixed when the manager told me it would be in my hands no later than Thursday. They like to say they will call you back to get you off the phone so its much better to just go in person so they cant make any excuses. Wont EVER come to this place again.

Lack of professionalism. (Asked for a discount on doing two devices at once. Well they came back and said they would have to charge more. I had already gone in previously and been quoted the lower rate. So when they had a chance to get more business they up'd the rates. I did not tell them I had been in previously to get a quote. So I will move on.)

The guy at this place is very very very rude. Does not know how to talk to the customers. Just because they know how to repair the computer, they think everyone who visits them is stupid. I had a small hardware issue. When I went in he asked for 200 bucks and 2 weeks time. When I asked why is this so pricey since it is a small problem, he was outright rude about that. So I watched some YouTube videos and fixed it myself and it costed me less than 10 bucks. Please understand that everyone who owns a computer is not some rich idiot for you to make money from.

Well I'd like to say give them a chance but just on a phone call I was treated like I was bothering them. Usually not a big deal but when you act like I'm annoying the hell out of you and get a condescending tone for wanting to know something, I'll just take my money somewhere else.

Armor Techs hosts my Country Road Greenhouses website and are also my company email hosts - they have always provided valuable, professional service every time that I needed them for help. I have also purchased some used computer equipment from them (monitor, desktop PC, speakers, cable, etc), and I am completely satisfied with every interaction I have had with all Armor Techs staff. They have earned my business, and I will keep coming back.

I usually handle any PC issues on my own, but came here with a dead hard drive hoping they could recover the data on it. Unfortunately, they were unable to but did refer me to a company who could. They charged me $15 for their time, which was completely fair to me. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. If I have another issue, I will definitely be back.

Being without a cellphone can make you feel cut off from the entire world. Had a hardware issue and needed help. FAST. Walked my phone in to the shop and they had it up and working by lunch time. Everything about working with Snare Systems was excellent from start to finish. I work at a business in Rochelle and we had quite the IT crisis that Comcast couldn't help us with. Comcast Technician Ryan suggested we called Snare Systems. We couldn't have been more pleased. I called on Tuesday and left a message. Miles called us back shortly to clarify what we needed done. He forwarded info to Dave, the owner and traveling technician, who contacted me right away to schedule a site visit. He was here first thing Wednesday morning. He solved all our problems and more. He was very friendly and knowledgeable as he explained a lot of things we didn't know, answering all of our questions. Thank you Snare Systems for your superior service! My experience at Armor was a great one. My computer crashed at the worst possible time and I needed to quickly recover data. The guys there were nice and very helpful. I dropped it off late in the afternoon one day and it was ready the next morning. My computer now runs perfectly.

I have had these guys not only do my website, that is where half my customers find me, but they have built my computers and worked with them to display my framing slide shows and artists at my shop. I recommend them to everyone.

The techs here saved my laptop's failing hard drive with all of my final NIU projects that I neglected to back up. Saved me from having to redo tons of work. Definitely recommend! This is the second time that these guys have saved my computer. After some major tweaking, my Sony Vaio is up and running!! It turns out that the initial diagnosis wasn't the whole problem, and Elizabeth spent countless hours bring my computer back to life. I am beyond pleased with the quality of the service. I could go on and on about the great level of customer service! I was visiting the area from out-of-state and had several meetings throughout the day, and my computer is a necessity. I came in because it had completely stopped working and they immediately began working on my machine to try and resolve the problems. They tried everything that they absolutely could to get my computer up and running, however the part that was needed was required to be ordered. Luckily, they were kind enough to let me utilize one of the refurbished machines that they had on hand, so that I can complete the last few tasks that I had for the day. I'm very grateful for the hospitality and the assistance provided. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I talked to one of the guys that work at Armor on the phone about getting my IPhone screen replaced and came in about an hour later. Waited the hour wait which is normal. I picked up my phone and they said the screen is fixed but I have some bad news we knicked the ribbon in which broke the home button and we will courtesy order the part and fix it. Waited 2 days they called me and came back. Waited the hour again as expected. Then they said the button would no longer work unless it was taken to Apple. I left and came back right away and they said they could fix it. They just had to add one piece. But I no longer have the Touch ID option. And told to go to Apple again. Why should I pay Apple for their mistake in the first place?! The home button is very cheap and wiggles. Disappointed.

If I can rate this place as zero I would. Horrific experience. Paid 90$ for my apple iPad to change battery and it's not working at all or even turning on when I put it in the charger!!!!!!!!!! And guess what.......the iPad was not fully charged and they put it in the charge showing that now it chargers when picked up. Also, $70 spent for my iPhone, in which is messed up after a screen replacement. I mean not harm to them in writing this, because obviously they are going to Continue doing what they are doing and a review won't bring them down however , I only need you who is reading this to not be as stupid as I am In trusting them. I swear to God it's the worse place that I have ever been to. I am so disappointed, and I regret trusting them with my products. At least tell your customer that you don't know how to work with apple products. Don't take their products to mess the up and lie that you did your job to basically steal money! By the way they broke my iPad into many parts and had to order parts because they Failed at placing the parts correctly. They make the customer pay even more saying we need this part, after Diagnosing the problem incorrectly!!!!!! don't know what the hell they are doing and they also lie and say the product is working when picked up! Oh and above all they say we had to order many parts giving you the responsibility of their failure! Claiming that its functional now... Functional my ***! It's not even turning on. And last but never least they say apple doesn't like their products to be touched. If they don't like tier products touched by people who don't know how to touch them then why the heck didn't you tell me that you are not worth the task before giving you my products? Or is stealing money something okay in your company? I am demanding a full refund.

THIS is a scam, DO NOT attempt to do any business with these SCAM ARTISTS!!!

I went there to get my laptop computer fix for motherboard. They did fix all right, but as I get my computer back, my computer product key no longer working. One of the plastic button that is underneath the keyboard was broken. As well as, one of the hinges that holds the keys in places is missing. At last but not least, they say they charge me $123 for the repair. When I come to pick it up, there is a hidden fee that they didn't tell me being about $99. Because of this, I don't trust them anymore with fixing my computer.

Called and asked one of the techs if they could install an os on an external hard drive. Said it was fine, but when I came in the guy at the front desk was really rude and said they wouldn't do it. I guess i'll take my business elsewhere. Not my problem if you lose an easy $100-150 for less an hours worth of work.

Running a business I need someone I can trust, consistently, and Armor Technologies has been a partner of ours for more than 2 years for that reason. We bill by the hour so when I have a computer down, I need it fixed fast. Just last week they were out to diagnose my lead designer's computer within hours of my call and fixed it in less than 60 minutes. I highly recommend Armor Techs to the Small Business Owner.

These guys did a great job with a quick website I needed. They answered all my questions and were easy to work with remotely. I will use them again.

Dropped off ps4 on Tuesday, they ordered a part and had it shipped overnight and said it would be there Friday and done on Friday. I called multiple times Saturday, Monday and Tuesday and no one ever answered, I left messages and never got a call back about the status of the ps4. A week later I had to go there in person because they won t answer calls. They still didn t have it fixed 4 days after they said they would. So i took the ps4 to another place in town and they had it fixed in less than 2 hours!

When i was 14 i brought in my acer no name 100$ laptop with a broken hard rive , they said they would take a look for free. but when they called me back two days later they told me it would be 140$ for a 2tb 60 cache hard rive which was just overkill for a hard rive for the computer and told me it would be 60$ to replace it, the hard drive is on the back of the laptop and would have taken more then 10 minutes. i told them no thanks and they didn't charge me a thing which was generousness enough. i later took apart my dads broken gaming computer when he was a kid and put in the hard drive and it worked just fine. just overall not happy and today i sort of believe they tried to scam me because i was young
