There is too much to type why this place is awesome. It's great for kids, bachelor parties, family events, or even if you gamble... Which I don't. Very reasonably priced drinks and you can bring in your own good and waters for I think a $5 cooler fee. They have so many great rotating gimmicks like beer and food truck specials, super hero night, etc...
Always a fun outing. Well staffed, well maintained, well managed facilities. Variety of venues for all types of patrons and group events. I honestly wish more locals frequented this park. It's happiest when it's busiest. The nature of horse racing is the energy the crowds and thoroughbreds bring. Picnic areas for families with young kids who would get a kick out of it. Hats, drinks, hats, horses, hats, and hats!!! Not a veteran gambler here but the staff was amazing in the Beverly D suite!

This place hasn't changed much since the 1980s.
It's a beautiful place with lots of land the interior of the building itself is kind of sterile and most of the decor is white.
I've been here several times for different events and the food here is very, very good.
If you enjoy horse racing and betting on the races, this is one of the top places to go to. It's always exciting and confusing when placing a bats here and there's really no one to ask if you have any questions.
They do have different events here throughout the year and there are some really good events not only for singles but families if you don't mind that you're bringing your children to a betting race track that is.
One of the highlights of the season is the Arlington million and that is when it will be really crowded but you probably have a lot of fun even if you don't want to bet on any of the horses you can do some people watching here.
Great time for a Saturday date! I would suggest buying the covered seating during the heat. Food was great and we didn't realize that you could bring in your own food. Very clean and fun atmosphere!
You close down we riot. Tear down Hawthorne. This place should be the premier racetrack in the the Chicagoland area for years to come.
Although we only go here once a year on Mother's Day, we always have a great time. They have made it easy to place bets not matter where you're at. We like to go to the picnic area so we can spread out. Even when the weather isn't great it's still easy to have a good time. Plenty of kids activities and they let you bring in a cooler with beverages and food. Can't beat that.
I never miss Arlington when I visit Chicago. One of the cleanest beat laid out tracks in the US.
Going to watch the horses race at Arlington International Racecourse, 2200 W Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 is always a great time for all in the group. Wonderful food, service and ambiance at the track.
Went for Derby Day! What a fun experience! We had general admission tickets but would definitely look into doing a picnic table next time I go! Only down side would be the drink lines - way too long and took entirely too long but will be back for the ponies!
I absolutely love going to the race track. Lots of fun for all ages. Great cheap drinks on Fridays and college students get in free on Fridays.

The line to cash out on derby day moved pretty fast. This is a beautiful racetrack. My only negative is the public address system is too loud and never stops blaring away.
I really enjoyed myself at this establishment, my first visit there was unforgettable, Ken at the University was the best professor in helping me understand it all. Kudos to him

Very beautiful Race track, i see it on Tvg and it does not give it justice! The atmosphere was very good! The DJ was Lit! nice variety of food, but a little pricey but its a race track! Most races was fillies and Mares, I assumed it was "ladies sunday out" lol we donated some of our money until the last 2 races but they had a special if you lose just tweet your losing ticket for chance to win a voucher for another race, which was good, the parking was good its pretty close to track, they have children activities and it was Chicago white sox day. Im definitely going back!

We had great weather. Beautiful horses. Food of course was pricey, but expected. Quite a variety to choose from.
Going back next trip to Chicago.

Went on opening weekend / derby day. Outer lot parking is free and is about a 2 block walk to the main entrance. Enjoy watching horses in showing area before race and the go to the rail for actual race. On drawback - hard to place a bet with a human, mostly machines.
Total ripoff,paid the outrageous sum of $12 entrance fee without even a program(that's another $2.50).Food and alcohol way overpriced.Love the sign up front that if you bring ANY FOOD in a bag or your purse there is a $5 fee.What a joke,never again
Many of the seating areas have no TVs, need to spend more money on more screens. Sitting in food court with only 1 screen 40 feet away. Otherwise this is a classy fun racecourse to go to
Cheap horses. The Democratic government in Illinois is ruining horse racing in Illinois, just like everything else they touch.
Fun for all ages. Beautiful grounds. You can bring in small coolers of food and drink for a nominal fee. Multiple food options inside the park as well. If you sit on the terrace of the bar there is table service for both food and drink (with a reasonable table minimum). You'll still have a nice view of the track.
Beautiful Racetrack! Great food and drink deals, easy to and from on Metra, festive crowd in an electric atmosphere!

The Sunday racing events are really good with kids. They have lots of outdoor fun events for the kids and indoor A/C seating with food options. It's rather expensive, but the staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
Rip off on Father's Day. $14.00 admission, weak card with small fields and over- whelmed staff resulting in long lines and poor service.
I am surprised they didn't charge for parking. My twice a week trips to
AP are over.

Fun time with family. Food is very expensive and corned beef sandwich was very fatty.
A beautiful track set in the northern suburbs with so much green and energy to make any visit sublime if you love horses or excitment. Breakfast at Arlington is also great way to enjoy the park and see how the thoroughbreds go thru their morning paces. Held every first Sunday in summer, it's a great outing for the day.

I went here for an event and it's really a neat place. The venue is such a pretty backdrop for all the horse races. They have tons of parking and it's pretty easy to get around.
When I travel from across the pond for gigs in the States, I love to stop in at Arlington for top notch racing on the turf course.
Fun place has it all. Horse racing, Great food and amazing surroundings.
Great venue. Go to the Arlington Million for a fun experience. The other days of the year are sometimes too empty to really win much money.
Can't say enough about this except for the price to get in they sting you on major holidays IE Father's Day and Mother's Day 4th of July but the horse racing is fun betting in all of his little as I too it's a neat little getaway
I was thinking "Oh, I don't like gambling, I don't think I'll really love an outing to the tracks" - but I was wrong!
I went during a special event - Japan Day, as it turned out. The place was natty with specialty vendors, like a nicer version of the County Fair :) I had a blast! Food was great, kind of a carnival vibe, and just watching the horses run was a treat. They're naturally majestic, even if you've not a penny on the race!
This place was a lot of fun - think about renting a table or an umbrella and making a picnic of it!
Awesome place! I go several times a year for fun. The staff is great the food is good to ok parking is free it's $10.00 for adults the horse race betting starts at $2.00 and up they give you plenty of information on the horses to help you with your betting I've won plenty of times the place is beautiful plenty of seating. The place is fun for everyone.
We have done 10 or 11 craft shows at Arlington, being a Thursday 1st. Day of four there was a good traffic of people. Suprising for a work day! The staff who work the race-course work these shows and are kind an informed on what's going on! A very well run event! We will always return for future shows!
After the place burned I wondered what they were going to do. What they did was build one of the most beautiful race tracks I have been to. The staff was great, and were not only friendly, but so willing to help explain how betting works, how to use the betting machine, and were one of the best customer service people I've met.
The only complaint I have is, like any place that has large crowds, the bathrooms could be better. But they are well placed, and have plenty of urinals, and toilets.
Thanks Arlington Park for a great experience. My family, including my two 80 yrs old aunts, had a wonderful time.
