I set up an appointment to discuss my retirement. The service was efficient; I had multiple appointments to discuss general questions, health questions, and the entire system was so efficient, I had all the information that I needed within less than an hour. Everyone was friendly, informative and exceptionally nice throughout the process.
Absolutely horrible people. Have been trying to get off my dad's insurance for almost a month because mine is better and I turned 26 and they have been less than helpful to both of us. Would give 0 stars if I could. Can't leave a message for the insurance department so don't even bother trying.
Take your money all out after you retire! It's their bonus! Because they lose paperwork! And they keep your money! Not your family! So take it out! All of it! Pay the taxes! And you keep it! But do not let the state
keep it! And they Will!
Your family will not get one cent! Because they lose the workplace and they get the bonus! You get nothing! Family nothing! State gets it all! So when you retire take it all Out! Pay the taxes! Keep in the bank not the star retirement system!
It's truly unfair to force State workers to contribute over 150.00 every paycheck against our wishes. I already have a 401K, and various Money Market accounts, so I do not need another retirement plan. What makes this even worse, is that we hardly make a living wage, and the deductions may cause hardship.
I can't imagine having a better system with more competent employees. I really appreciate your ability to manage your system.
There are lots of calls that can be too frustrating to imagine.

Be careful for all retirees, my husband insurance got revoked forever. When he retired by July 2015 we were told that he will have his insurance forever then we were told that we don't need to do anything with it, we will kept our coverage lifetime but by 2017 it was revoked. I tried to filled-up the form for an appeal till now 2018, they sent as the note that his appeal is "Denied". I've been calling them but it seems like these people doesn't care, there's no one could help.
He served for 20 years, and this is what he gets. Insurance revoked forever.
