As of 8/16/20 - None of the original staff was there at the restaurant and all of our favorite menu items have been prepared completely different and tastes like garbage. Previously 5/5.. now barely edible and the portions are 1/2 the size. I'm guessing the restaurant is now under new ownership. Don't waste your time. No longer the oli ran of the past.

You can't beat half pice sushi on Sunday. I able try new sushi with a friend. I found a new favorite.

Typical hibachi with all the flashy displays and lots of soy sauce and butter. The portions, as usual, were large. Overall decent food and experience. The only no-no was the chef mixed shrimp into my shellfish allergic sister s meal (which he was aware of) so he had to start over. The service was ok but a little hurried. Wine list woefully negligent and all the beer you normally see at a Japanese restaurant.

Been to Oliran many times previous to the rebirth of 2.0. Decor is nicely updated. Service was good and friendly. Had sushi (Oliran Roll, Dancing Eel Roll, Eel Maki Roll, Salmon Roe), and wife had hibachi which was great. I like the addition of Thai dishes and will be back to try those. I would recommend eating at Oliran.

Great food, fast service and 1/2 price sushi for lunch and on Sunday

Very busy. Ordered spicy scallop roll and waitress brought spicy salmon. We told her and she left with it then brought back the same thing. Portions are huge. Every single person had takeout (such a waste on their part). Sushi used to be so good here, now its just ground up and covered in sauce to the point of being mush and falling apart. It was disgusting especially for the price. So disappointed, I used to LOVE this place.

The food is great. The prices are expensive but are in line with other Hibachi's that I have been to.

Love 1/2 price sushi happy hour & Sundays! What a great deal! Always friendly and have gone above and beyond in customer service!

Food was good, service was terrible. I was thereat 7pm, they said they were open until 10pm, but employees were wearing coats and rushing me around. Did not feel welcome. Boxed my food and left.

Freshly made sushi, really friendly staff, and always enjoyable. It's authentic, which was something of a shock to my system considering it's in the middle of Pennsylvania! I always try to go on Sunday's or weekday's during lunch, since it's half price sushi, but I'd go anytime.

Surprisingly great Japanese food in rural PA! Really enjoyed the hibachi experience here. I've been a couple times and my whole family really enjoys the experience. The cooks are entertaining as well as good chefs. Prices are very reasonable for hibachi. Highly recommend this place.

Great half priced sushi all day Sunday. This was the first time we had any issues with our food but the spicy tuna and salmon rolls were overly seasoned and wetter than normal. Maybe it was a different chef than usual

Great food, huge portions, and a wonderful show! It's your typical hibachi with the cook interacting with the diners/audience: sake sprayed in your mouth, chunks of zucchini lobbed at you to try to catch in your mouth, flames erupting from the grill. You don't have to participate, but it's so much more fun if you do.
I had the salmon and it was cooked just right. Nobody in our group ordered shrimp specifically, but since we all had seafood apparently they just "throw it in". If you don't like shrimp, I'm sure you can specify to leave it out.
Would return again!

After my fifth or sixth time eating here, I feel it's high time to leave a review. I've eaten both in the dining room and at the hibachi tables. The service is quick, even when the house is full. Soup and salad arrives almost immediately after placing orders. The hibachi shows are entertaining; each time I've sat hibachi, the show was a little different, which I appreciate! Very generous portions of food for the price - I always end up bringing home one or two more meals. The staff, despite some not being fluent in English, are all friendly and polite. This restaurant serves delicious food in a clean, fun setting. My only regret is that I don't eat here more often! :)

UPDATE 4/23/2018: I will not change my 5-star rating, but I've eaten here a lot more recently and have one point to add. On Sundays, when their lunch menu is served all day, the quality of the food decreases. I have experienced more errors in correct orders, food being served somewhat warm, lack of flavor in some foods, etc. This is understandable because it's so busy on these Sundays, but it is frustrating to have a mediocre meal at an establishment that produces excellent food. That being said, I still stand by my 5-star rating; however, I would encourage people to eat here when it's less busy.

Service was poor. Food came way before sushi order. The waitress asked if we needed a box to go, I had to tell her we were still waiting on our sushi...

Me and 4 kids had a large sushi lunch for less than it would cost in McDonald's and the waitress was amazing

Just love the sushi here and the care by the staff! The manager always treats us like family. She knows who I've come in the past and always inquires as to their welfare. Love it!!

I love sushi and hibachi. Many of these places offer more or less the same menu items, prepared in the same way, and pretty much all of them are good. Oliran is no exception. The food is awesome, the service is prompt and courteous, the interior decor is cool and sorta looks like that karate dojo where Neo spars with Morpheus, and the hibachi grill "dinner show" is always fun to watch. The hibachi chefs are jolly and entertaining. Always tip your hibachi chef! Get a designated driver and see how much sake you can guzzle down without taking a breath!

Ok in a pinch. Obnoxious hibachi noise. America, get over it.

To keep this short and simple. My family has eaten at this restaurant many times in the past. Today was a horrible experience. We ordered take-out and learned our order was wrong upon arrival home (not super close to the restaurant). Called to discuss the issue. And no one that was on the phone cared, understood, or wanted to justify an issue with a wrong order. I asked to speak with a manager and one was never identified or put in the phone! Very poor customer service.
A side note was the food was just okay. Not bad but below par for normal.

Go for lunch. The discount is great. Hibachi chefs are always friendly.

I came here for lunch I ordered the sushi lunch and after choosing the sushi I wanted and the order was in I was informed that it was chefs choice for the lunch and was served just the pieces I ordered not the lunch. No where on the menu is it stated that the lunch is chef's choice.

Fast service, good food, great atmosphere! Come here everytime we visit family!
