I have been a patient here for 20 years.This lastyear has been disaster. The scheduling and customer care from their front desk is terrible. Time to find a new clinic where they treat you like a customer.
The process to reach a person to make an appointment is ridiculous and makes absolutely no sense. After waiting on hold for an hour multiple times to make an appt I opted to have a rep call me back and was told I wouldn't lose my place. Both times, when receiving the callback, I was put back into the queue to schedule an appointment. The second time, I did speak to an operator, but she couldn't schedule the appt and again put me into the queue to wait for another estimated 45 minutes, when I should have been transferred to someone else directly who could make my appt. This is not acceptable. Based the circumstances, I could not make the appointment online.
I did not even want to give 1 star. We waited for over 3hrs to be seen. I was told by the front desk that its first come first serve... she lied. Two children and a woman who came in after us were seen and discharged before we ever got called back. I guess if my 14 year old would have cried and misbehaved we would have gotten seen quicker. Save your time and go somewhere else.
I am giving this facility 1 star because of the incredible decline in ethical care. I saw a doctor for a pounding headache, knowing I am an addict (as it was in my charts and noted I take suboxone) she prescribed me opiates as she rushed me out the door. (For people that don't know, opiates and suboxone interact with each other in a way that is not helpful.) I didn't have a chance to speak up because she would not stop talking after I told her I had a pounding headache. I felt rushed and incredibly embarrassed to say anything. Needless to say, I got home and flushed them all down the toilet. They treat you differently here if you are an addict or a recovering addict like I am. Also, if there is 1 person in the lobby, it doesn't matter. It will be hours before you are seen. The people at the front desk are always sweet, that's why I give them 1 star and also, some of the doctors are pretty good but this 1 doctor and the wait time (hours every single time) ruined it for me. However, the Allina clinic in Bloomington is great! I will take my business there! In fact, every Allina clinic I have been too is great except this one in Apple Valley.
The dr. Hauton or something what ever his name is totally inexperienced and treated me like I am wasting his time. He did not even explain very well and acted like he had to go somewhere else
Scheduling staff "didn't know" what an annual exam was so scheduled as regular visit, now I'm on the hook for the full bill. Billing didn't help resolve issue and I've been waiting for 2 months to receive a call back from the office manager or someone because nobody will pick up the phone and allegedly the office manager doesn't have a direct line. 13 calls and countless hours later, I'm told I'm being sent to collections. This is clearly a scam and the provider didn't even provide any care. Will never go to Allina again. I wish I could give zero stars.
Sad I am forced to give a single star. My pharmacy called three times to get permission to give me a refill with no response. Now on to the Clinic. I have a new doctor (no one from the clinic thought to tell me) They are refusing to refill my medication with out me scheduling an appointment. So I have now been 5 days with out my heart medication. How can that go bad. How did they choose to tell me? A phone call? nope an email on their online portal that I can not respond to. So I guess their attitude is 'Good luck with your high blood pressure.... No medication, how could that go badly.
Will be seeking a new provider, I would strongly suggest you read the last 15 reviews, Seems to be a TREND sad as this was a GREAT clinic 2 years ago before it changed hands.....
Waited almost 3 hours to be seen the desk ladies lied and said oh ur next on the chart to be called b.s. a total lie . Switching clinics and doctors I don't like or trust this clinic anymore
As another reviewer stated I wouldn't have given even 1 star if I didn't have to in order to leave my review. Super long wait times in the Urgent Care and the story changes every time as to why others checking in after you are receiving care before you. Understandable of course, in some situations, but not when the others are sitting with you in the waiting room and still being called ahead of you. The front desk team can be rude and disregarding of your needs. It's happened too many times now. AVMC used to be our 'go to clinic'. Not anymore.
I have gone here for years and never had issue until Allina took over. Since the take over, I have had appointments canceled without the ability to reschedule them. I have had voicemails left without names of the people to call back, just all Allina Apple Valley back at this number but when you call them you don't get the actual clinic, you get the Allina call center. I have had issues with billing and them not filing bills correctly. Which results in me getting a bill that should have been covered by work comp. I have also had them send referrals to different places without my knowledge or need causing a delay in my ability to be seen for a work injury. I do not understand what is happening with this clinic but its not okay. Its absolutely ridiculous how things are being run now and not good patient care.
