I believe certain websites like this, should not offer a "scoring" method for reviews. If you read some of these reviews regarding bad experiences on the trail, c'mon man. Its mother nature, and all of the Conservancy employees work for low wages, and still have smiles on their faces. And how about the volunteers. Just say something nice or bounce. (as you kids say) :)

About Appalachian Trials

Appalachian Trials: Protecting, Managing, and Advocating for the Appalachian National Scenic Trail

Appalachian Trials is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting, managing, and advocating for the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. The organization was founded in 2012 by Zach Davis, who hiked the entire length of the trail in 2011. He saw firsthand how important it was to protect this natural wonder and decided to create an organization that would help preserve it for future generations.

The Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a 2,200-mile long hiking trail that stretches from Georgia to Maine. It passes through fourteen states and traverses some of the most beautiful landscapes in America. The trail attracts millions of visitors each year who come to hike its rugged terrain and experience its natural beauty.

However, with so many visitors comes a great responsibility. The trail faces numerous challenges such as erosion caused by foot traffic, littering by hikers who do not follow Leave No Trace principles, encroachment on protected lands by developers or other interests groups among others.

This is where Appalachian Trials comes in. The organization works tirelessly to protect the trail from these threats while also managing it so that it remains accessible for all those who wish to experience its beauty.

One of their primary goals is education - educating hikers about Leave No Trace principles so they can minimize their impact on the environment while hiking along the trail. They also work with local communities along the route of AT (as it's commonly known)to promote responsible tourism practices which benefit both tourists and locals alike.

Another key area where Appalachian Trails focuses on is advocacy - lobbying government officials at all levels (local, state, and federal)to ensure adequate funding for maintenance projects along AT as well as protection against any potential threats like development or mining activities near or around protected areas adjacent to AT.

In addition to these efforts aimed at preserving AT's natural beauty, the organization also provides support services like providing information about camping sites, safety tips, and other resources needed by hikers planning trips along AT.They have an online platform where people can access information about various aspects related with hiking including gear recommendations, trail maps, directions among others. This has made planning easier especially for first-time hikers who may not be familiar with what they need before embarking on such an adventure.

Overall, the work done by Appalachian Trails has been instrumental in ensuring that this national treasure remains accessible and preserved for future generations.Their tireless efforts have helped raise awareness about environmental conservation issues related with outdoor recreation activities like hiking. They are committed towards ensuring sustainable use of our public lands while promoting responsible tourism practices which benefit both tourists and locals alike. If you're planning a trip along AT,you should definitely check out their website/applications which provide valuable information needed before embarking on such an adventure!
