So much history, knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have a great internship program for H.S. students and I visited multiple times for business and pleasure. I would recommend everyone visit if they are in Harlem, NY.
Amazing venue! The Apollo Theater is a must visit concert site for any music fan. Opeth was incredible, and the sound mix was stellar. A treasure in the heart of Harlem. I felt safe, welcome, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate my mobility issues. Hats off to them!
I'm a Harlem native & spent my childhood here. It was so good to be back. Great place.
Just finished watching Lady Gaga at the world famous Apollo Theater. The show was amazing and the Apollo staff is second to none. Security was on point and the customer service was outstanding. Thank you Apollo staff for making the night memorable.
lol, thought I had good seats;.ended up in the nose bleed seats looking down on top of the performer's head
It's a historic Harlem landmark, with shows every night. Wednesdays are when their famous amateur night shows are presented. Inside, a well worn, old style theater, with good sight lines.
We weren't able to see a show because it was sold out but the employees lest us come inside & take pictures.
Historical, great place. Our kids had a great time performing on stage.
No parking too many people walking buy area is noisy
Was in New York and wanted to visit Harlem. What a beautiful historic theater. Wish I could have watched a performance while I was there. Maybe next time.
Excellent theatre. The energy in and around this theatre is AWESOME. No wonder it s a landmark in NYC.
Not enough leg room, no food to purchase after a long wait and Alicia Keyes must've been sweating along with us because the air quality was horrible!! I was waiting for Oprah Winfrey to yell out, " You get a fan, you get a fan and YOU get a fan!!! This whole theatre is getting a fan"
If you like music, you definitely have to visit this site.
It is easily found as it has a subway stop practically next door.
The neighborhood, Harlem, is beautiful.
On that same street, there are lots of stalls selling things that have to do with African-American history and identity.
It's a delight.
The super nice people.
I would have liked to see it inside, but I did not have time.
If you visit, do not forget to look at the floor right in front of the door.
You have to go to see a show to visit the place. Other way, you can only access to the lobby.
We had a very pleasant evening, and the performance here was also worth seeing. For me it was more of an overall atmosphere. Disc jockey, crowd, dance and soul! This is the most memorable place I missed in New York! We also brought our 7-year-old child, and he likes it too.
Great to go with a group. Lots of laughs, extremely entertaining, & very affordable.
Always fantastic I am a native New Yorker so I can say historically amazing.
Amateur night on Wednesday is a must-go! The host and wannabe artists will make you dance, laugh, stand up, cheer, boo and - above all - having an amazing night. The hall of fame at the entrance will make you realize the historical importance of this venue.
Staff was friendly and welcoming. You don't need tickets to a show to enter and they'll let you take pictures in front of the wall with all the "Great Acts"...
Superb show on Wednesday evening, American-style show and atmosphere. To live !
It was truly historic. I m glad we were able to see the taping of Conan.
The function was informative and encouraging. The Small Business Services of New York City is helping the citizens of its city.
Thank you very much.
The people are always Pleasant and polite and very responsible well manner with a warm housepitality, and they are beautiful however it is a historical place.
If visiting New York you have to visit the iconic Apollo Theatre
Historic Apollo Theater! Its smaller in person but huge in history. The ushers were great. The bar line was extremely long.
Don't miss Wednesday amateurs Night. You'll enjoy drinks and good music
Saw John Leguizamo. Orchestra seats. Beautiful theater. Lovely embellishment
Hush Tours NYC brought our group there. Probably best tour I've had of the area in 20years of driving motorcoach.
I love the Apollo .I have been to many shows since the age of ten! It's still a great pla've to visit.
It's the historical Apollo where legends are made, why else?
Amateur Night at the Apollo. Capone was a great host, and the contestants were fantastic.
Historic venue that brings all genres of music and dance to the community. Special community events and celebrations. Reasonably priced tickets and most of the seats provide good views. Great stop for a tour and gift shop if you are taking home a little piece of Harlem. Always full of community folks as well as guests. Check out Amateur Night on Wednesdays.
The place is very clean and well maintained but there were long lines and it was almost impossible to get out after words but the place was very nicely done
Capone. Executioner , DJ. , Host, band, and performers are excellent.
It was just like I imagined it would be when I was a child!
I enjoyed walking around the museum, very educating. Would love to do it again.
Great atmosphere fun nostalgic theater
Been there many times for concerts event's and tapings
Harlem is a great place!
Love the shopping Gym and Entertainment!
We went there for the amateur night. We loved the ambience.
The show was great... no one got booed. Come correct or go home! #Capone had me in stitches all night long.
Good Time....
We had a Blast
Great time, at the historic Apllo Theater, I went there for Africa Now which was a great event. I ended up on stage for a dance contest which was fun, as an artist the dream is to perform at a place like this were a lot of history has been made, lots of great performances has been held, so for me for just a few minutes being on state and dance in front of all these people and the cheers were an affirmation of my purpose of being a professional and bring joy to people. Great place.
Great historical land mark, where the majority of star's were born.
