Visited for an event...enjoyed the venue. Great drinks and jerk wings.
Had a great visit here, will definitely be returning when I'm in the area again
Great place to work! Great staff and a very loving and supportive environment to be apart of
I have been to Apache Cafe a couple of times on a Wednesday night for there open mic night. There is a $6 cover and to sit at the table it requires a $10 food or drink minimum per person. The entertainment has been pretty good the times that i have been. The reason why i cannot give Apache 5 stars is because of the location. its located on a dark seedy looking street with no real parking near the establishment.
Sad face closing. Amazing Last Al Smith Jam Session
This is my first time going to this place but it definitely will not be my last. Unfortunately Waze could not direct me to it properly but Google Maps did. There's a lot of construction down there and the parking is dicey looking at best. The place is really small the bathroom was pretty clean especially considering the crowd. I attended the sex show last weekend and they were demoing BDSM play techniques... Reading poetry period. And a few other things. I had a great time with friends and the food was so so. I ordered a cheese fried chicken salad they had very limited dressing options and the price was high for what you got which was a homemade bowl of salad but a few chicken pieces thrown on top.
I had a great time fellowshipping with the entertainment and other people around the show was really good the spot it was exactly the kind of kitsch place I expected it to be. I definitely go back, but I probably stop at the varsity first. LOL you still get what you pay for but you're not paying Crazy Prices for what you didn't get.
The music, people and food will keep you want to come back. Every night there is something diff.
Cool spot. Not much seating do wear comfortable shoes because you may have to stand. Went on a stay everything & almost turned around due to limited seating but was able to get a chair. There were a few good performances & the others were hard on the ear but for the most part... enjoyed the company I was with. This wasn't my first visit & I would recommend
Great place to chill, get away, eat some good food. I'll return with my friends. This place has a good feel to it.
This was a cool artsy location. I went to support a friend who is a vocal artist perform. There were models who were partially naked with body paint. I had the spinach salad with grilled chicken which was decent. I will go again to try something else.
Great atmosphere to showcase artist in a unique and vibrant atmosphere
Went to art Monday nights
Last monday. It was great. Good drinks, good music, art show and models for drawing or photography and great food. The pear cobbler with ice cream and candied pecans, was beyond great it was an experience!! wow just doesn't do it justice.
This is an eclectic hole-in-the-wall spot where you can go for mixed aged crowd, great live music, poetry, arts and amazing vibes! The food is pretty good also.
The place had a great atmosphere, but it is packed in here tonight! The performers are great. $10 cover was a bit much tonight as there was no place to sit. Guess its due to the holiday weekend. Overall a good time and mature crowd.
Food was good, hostess on point the vibe and music was great I would recommend the Apache for a nice little get away.
They say doors open @ 9:00. That's not true, plus my husband and I stayed outside in the cold and rain for 20 minutes.
For over a decade this place has been a must do for any performer coming out of Atlanta.
I loved it it was amateur spoken word and live entertainment. The service was slow but the staff was really nice.
It is a $15 cover at night but great food and a wonderful experience
Hot as hell in new location, wish it was still off Spring
too small/ too high for standing room only/ closing soon
Entertainment never disappoints, period. The drinks and food are not so hot. Food reads way better on the menu than what you actually get. The fish sandwich was more like a fish stick served on crostini. French fries are the shoestring variety you purchase for a $1 a bag. The service is always pretty good and friendly.
A real chilled and adult spot, but is entirely to small. No room to move around no way to get food because you have no table and it's difficult to get a drink.
Apache Cafe is a staple in the Atlanta Music/Art Community. Local Atlanta Indie Artists and out of towners alike pay their dues at this venue before making it big time! I would highly suggest Apache Cafe for anyone who is interested in Live Music/Art. Apache Cafe is also a great venue to host your own shows, album listening parties, artist showcase. Stay abreast with upcoming events by viewing the event calendar on their website.
I really enjoyed the show the two guys I posted did a very good job.
Great little, emphasis on little spot to listen to live music. Seating is limited so I would say arrive promptly. Also try to go on a night when they have spoken word (snaps fingers).
great place to hear new underground artists meet new and old friends drink&smoke
Great atmosphere and vibe,...but the acoustics are horrible!
Great entainment, good food and drinks if you want a seat you need to get here early or you will be standing but trust me if you want to here spoken word this is the spot
First time in the new place and I love the vibe. Hard to find but it's a diamond in the rough.
Love the vibe great place if your looking to see some talented artist and poets
I attended an Open Mic Night event and the talent was incredible! There is a 2 drink minimum or entree purchase per person. The only vegan option was a housemade black bean burger. Very happy they had a vegan option period!
Great show! Enjoyed the staff and food was delicious!
Always a food time whether it hip hop night or spoken word or open Mic food is great also
I went on 3rd Sunday night._last weekend_ The venue was kinda challenging to spot from the road and had a now leading sign on it. Laid back atomsphere food was reasonably priced drinks when a tad expensive like $10-15 for a 4oz of mixed drinks. Seats were limited but I arrived at 9pm eventually sat down close to 10pm but I was entertained the whole night. Parked in the front near a curb lucky to get that spot.
Cool spot to watch unsigned talent. Showcases are pretty cool. Sound quality is pretty rough. Be careful the address is kind of sketchy.
My first time going to the Apache Cafe...it was very inspiring and uplifting considering the event I was there for charged with so much passion and energy. It was amazing. The service was great. The interior was definitely laidback and chill, like a speakeasy. I look forward to going there again!
Loved the live music, spoken word, and local artists. My salmon patties with grits were way too salty for my taste. There was an incident that occurred with one of the musicians that should've and could've been handled better by the staff. They definitely need some type of security protocol in place for artists that get out of hand.
Awesome place to go small and cozy, great local talent just a good vibe.
Love the place! Amateur night is fun! Food never again! Lol. The food was the only reason this place didn't get five stars. My salad was horrid.
Definitely off the beaten path, but worth a visit. It was a great night. We reserved seating in advance and glad we did. Had great seats relative to the stage. We were there Christmas eve - Queen Sheba hosted the evening. She's always a treat to see. Love her! It was open mic and there were some very talented folks performing. It's very safe to perform. Drinks and food were good; waitress was very nice and attentive. Small, intimate venue. We would go back.
Nice spot for listening to dope live music! 1 month marriage anniversary
Absolutely love this place...if you love live music, great singers and awesome ambiance...this is where you need to be, especially wednesday's
Nice venue, great live music and art, a bit cramped. And far too many of a certain kind of people.....if you know what I mean
i attended an impromptu jam session with robert glasper experience earlier this year at apache. it's a nice quaint/intimate spot with a real chill vibe. definitely great for music or an open mic. parking is not that great and from the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall. glad, i did not judge this book by its cover.
It needs more graffiti LOL but overall I love the new location plus it's larger then the previous location kudos to the Apache Cafe
Had a blast. My sister and I went. We had a great time.
I enjoyed myself, nice vibe and the food was so good!
My favorite place for live music that's AMAZING! Every singer is usually awesome. Great experiences there
Very nice Grown and Sexy atmosphere. I do advise to book a table or get there early due to crowd. Jerk chicken was disgusting, too salty I couldn't eat them. Drinks are ok but too pricey in my opinion.
Went to a show hosted by Ms Ingrid B and had a great time. Good poets and strong drinks. My kind of scene.
Eccentric and easy going atmosphere. Decently clean for mid/downtown. I would just say, they should provide a heater blowing or close the door on cold days during hours of active use of the club and the vise versa for hot days in Atlanta. We went just around two weeks before Christmas late at night and it was freezing the majority of the time though we were no where near the door.
And they should make the seats on the sides longer. There isn t much room to sit comfortably for hours unless you re in a tables seat or standing.
nice hole in the wall with great entertainment. been there a few times for poetry, tap, and singing events.
Well I'm not going to support the restaurant because their morals and their standards are way off from good customer Service! Unfortunately we received water down drinks we ordered wings and even though we paid $11 for a ten piece of pre-cooked wings, they sent us out Wings that was two small two can be considered an actual wing. When I tried to talk with the manager she told us that we would have to purchase a whole new drink if she brought us out other drinks because they would not fix the ones that they messed up. I really appreciate it the idea of being able to go and hear my fellow brothers and sisters, however I thought for sure that being what seems to be a black business they would represent us very well.
The acts were incredible. The emcee B. James was awesome!! Parking lot is super weird, but everything else was down-to-earth and very comfortable. Will be back
Gives artists opportunity to grow, and it is a positive environment!!!!!
My home and platform on Wednesdays for 10 years where I can network and play here
The new location is nothing like the vibe of the old location. They ran out of alcohol (Except for some stuff I d never heard of so I hard passed on) but the bar was a folding table, so the only food seemed to be burgers in foil, people were smoking weed and cigarettes, I was sweating bullets the first 45 mins then freezing thereafter (I guess someone got bored and played with the thermostat), we almost bust our tires on the uneven pothole filled parking lot complete with broken bottles with the parking lot being pitch black with no lighting which is unsafe due to the location, the line up was all over the place with no organization, it should ve been free or I should ve been paid to attend, people were in there with UGGS and sweatpants (I was dressed for the old Apache clearly). All in all I was bored out of my mind. I yawned the entire time. This is just a mess. To avoid ruining your legacy you guys really need to just close until you find a permanent location to bring the old Apache back.
