Unbelievable selection of the most popular genre. Frequent signings and a great selection of rare and hard to find books. Nice batch of common titles too. Something for every budget. Nice friendly folks. Go there a couple of times and you will find you have made some new friends. My favorite store. I wrote this review some time ago when the previous owners were there. I have not changed my mind a bit! I'd like to add that there are now some comfy chairs though. Kudos to Anne!

Anne is awesome! She really cares and is very knowledgeable about books. I saw a post where a gal didn't look around but asked a question and left a two. Obviously, he could not find the brain he desperately needs because he was in the wrong place! He probably asked "where are the brains?" and the attendant said "sorry, we don't sell those here". He was mad and left a 2. Hope he finds one...

I can't imagine a better store for sci-fi fantasy books. Great layout, amazing selection of books, just a very classy place. Please stop by if you want to browse - we really need to keep places like this in business! Good selection of new and used books.

Great local bookstore in Orange County. Anne was so nice to recommend a few thrillers for me. She had the order ready to go when I came, looking forward to coming back when stores open up again. Love supporting local bookstores like this one.

My dad "made" me visit this place because of his love of Lawrence Ferlinghetti (ironically and not, at the same time). "Larry," as the staff apparently calls him, helped found the bookstore and was a part of the beat poetry movement that still surrounds this fine establishment.

Met another fabulous author at Book Carnival s regularly scheduled author book signings. This time it I met and chatted with the personable Karin Slaughter. She s written 18 novels sold more than 35 million copies - and I m excited cause she s a new author for me to explore.

Karin s next book, The Last Widow, is due out in August 2019, and she still came to Book Carnival to discuss that book as well as her previous books. She was VERY candid and funny and delightful.

I found out her most recent novel, Pieces of Her, that was published in 2018, is being adapted into an 8-part television series being released by Netflix. Too cool!

Thank you Anne for being the premier murder mystery book store with hard back 1st editions signed by the author. How do you do it? Each month you have up to a dozen famous authors that sit down and chat with fans and sign books and create a fabulous afternoon or evening.

There are still millions of readers out there that love to read and turn an honest-to-goodness page of a book.

Small bookstore specializing in crime and mystery novels. Attended a book signing event with Edward Humes promoting his new book "Burned". It was a standing room only event. The proprietors were friendly and helpful.
