Wonderful experience at helping a family find a place for several cats in need of assistance. Also impressed with the number of volunteers present caring for other pets in my short time visiting.
To rescue a animal should not be that hard. If a individual is more than qualified to own their own pet. They should not be denied and rescuing from your rescue. Animal rescue ink should be ashamed of themselves to make people feel so upset that they can t rescue animal . Your process is awful and should be changed.Do you not rescue animal from the shelter because they will make you feel awful about yourself.
This place is so great .they neutered my 2 Rescue Tom cats for very reasonable price. I tried several vets but they where way too expensive. The people there are very nice and Thank you to all the volunteers and the staff for helping animals in need. They sure could use some donations so they could continue the wonderful jobs they are doing for our communities. Thanks for fixing my boys Tigger and Leo.
ARI was great 20ish years ago but now they should feel ashamed of themselves. I wanted to adopt a dog that I could take to visit the elderly shut-ins. I called and told ARI about 3 dogs I was interested in, especially 1 currently in foster home. I completed online application. I never heard from them. I called ARI multiple times before talking with adoption coordinator. Was 2 things wrong with app. I didn't spay my female dog. I didn't understand cuz I got her from ARI. I didn't get rabies shot for male dog. I was busy trying to save his life, kidney failure. All of this in the app. Instead of meeting the dogs I picked, excuses why not, they just bring another dog and convince me it's a great dog, just "shy and scared". I believed and trusted them. Day 1 the dog shows signs of aggression and biting. They still say "shy and scared" and will take time to adjust. 8 months later and educating myself, working diligently, taking dog for training, dog is still biting (2 incidents of multiple puncture wounds). I had to return dog to ARI, which killed me to do so. I tried MULTIPLE times to talk with director but did not hear from her. They knew dog was like this, or they shouldn't be in this business.
Great place, they really take care of the animals. I asked to use the bathroom and they took me to the back of the house and all I saw were happy animals. This place is awesome!
I tried to adopt my 5th rescue dog in 25 years 18 months ago. Went thru all the steps, my cocker and I spent hours every week with the little girl because we wanted to ensure a good fit. This was in the heat of July . Family had the meet and greet. Scheduled the home visit. Advised them we were having a new roof and siding installed and our yard was a bit of a mess. We have a privacy fence enclosed yard. And a pool that is dog friendly. We failed. They said there were issues with our yard and my home!!! Have had dogs all my life and my mother and I showed Malamutes. 18 months later I am still insulted and clueless. Ended up getting a beautiful girl off of Craigslist. So sad.
