Angels Vet Clinic Review

They got our pet in quickly and the price is good. Friendly staff most of the time. Open on Saturdays is a huge plus!

We had to take four dogs. They handle walk ins and we did not have to wait ling. They really care about your pet and did a wonderful job with all of ours. Will go back for all of our pet needs.

Hi I m only giving this a 4 star until I get my Gypsy spayed on the 4th. I m super nervous for getting her spayed, she s my baby. We ve been coming to Angels since Gypsy was 8weeks old and they ve always been very affordable and reliable. I m just so nervous for the spaying :(

When my one year old pitbull contracted parvo I didn't know what he had. I called my daughter and we took him to Banfield and they tested him and it was positive. They are very and I mean very expensive to treat your animal for parvo or probably anything else. I didn't qualify for the financing they provide because I am on disability. The Vet there really made my daughter mad when she suggested that we just surrender him to be put down,,,,,,,, why? Because he is a pitbull????? I don't know why, pitbull or not, but my daughter called another Vet at Blue Pearl ( this is all being done on Sunday) and they said that they would give him iv fluids and antibiotic and a nausea injection for free to get him through the night. (Angels also)
The next morning we took him to Angels Vet Express and I must say that every person that works there is an angel. They are in Savannah, MO and we live in Merriam, Kansas but they are well worth the drive. It took about and hour or so to get there and once we did they gave him prompt attention even though they were busy. They come to your car so that you don't spread the virus and that tells you just how much they care about the animals they treat. They kept my baby and in 3 days he was ready to come home! They care and they saved him. I can't tell you how thankful I am to them. They are affordable and what they promise on their web page is so true. I picked him up yesterday and he is eating and drinking, keeping it down. When he went there he was not eating or drinking, throwing up blood and bloody stools. I am so blessed that they were there to save my best friend! I was one of those people that didn't think the vaccination was important but I do now. Please vaccinate your dog or puppy for this dreadful disease. It breaks your heart to see them go through that suffering and most die. My Otis will go back in 3 weeks for his vaccination and he will always get his yearly vaccinations(not just rabies) from now on. Thank you and God bless all of the staff at Angels Vet Express!!!!

My 13 yr old fur baby became extremely ill on a Friday night. I'd been going to a vet for over 40 yrs but they still couldn't see her for 10 days. With the virus other local vets couldn't treat her either. So glad a friend recommended Angel's. They were fantastic and very caring. They treated her for a bad ear infection and she's got new vets now!!!

So hang with me this is a long post.

So my household consist of 2 dogs buddy and xena 2 kids me and my husband. Friday we lost our male dog buddy. About 2 months ago we noticied a lump on his leg had busted open. We take him to the vet they say its not cancerous and schedual him for surgery. He has the surgery. Incision healed up nice but we took him back a few times to make sure all was going the way it should. About 2 weeks ago we took him back again because he was still limping on his leg. They said he was faking it and nothing was wrong. Friday morning my husband woke up and was told our buddy wasnt acting right. My husband called a different vet. They told him to bring him in. He did and Buddy died right before they walked into the room. They couldn't save him. He was 7 years old and perfectly healthy before the first vet removed the lump. Turns out the vet we went to the first time has a history of misdiagnosing animals and causing multiple deaths. Yesterday and today has been hell. Having to comfort our 5 year old because she's heartbroken her Buddy wont be coming home. Our 3 year old really doesnt understand. And my husband is just heartbroken. That was his best friend his cuddle buddy. Our kid. He had him since he was a puppy. I do NOT reccomend anyone taking their precious fur baby here.

The vet was awesome! My baby is super sensitive and he barely paid any attention to the shot Dr. Martin gave him!

The care the vets gave my baby. The price were shockingly low. When I was told how much my bill was, I asked if that was just the doctor's visit and everything else would be on another bill. But it was the total amount! Grateful and happy there is an Angels Vet Express. Even though I have to travel 2 hours to get there, well worth the trip!!!

The prices are fair enough...however communication seems to be an issue. And unless your animal has had all it's previous vaccinations through Angels, it's likely they will need something just to get the procedures done.

I took my nine month old boxer (who's up to date on shots according to my usual vet) to get neutered and microchipped today. The appointment was set up for both procedures about a month in advance. I added a nail trim thinking it's cheap enough why not go head and get it done as well. Disappointingly, they only neutered him.

I inquired about the nail trimming and they said they did trim them but paws on hard floors don't lie. And as for the microchip, I live in the Kansas City area and I'm not sure making the drive to Savannah would be worth it.

The main reason I'm rating three stars is because the procedure that was done looks pretty good. Low swelling and no leakage.

My advise if you go to Angels make sure you confirm everything you want done at check-in and pick up, don't just fill out the paperwork and check a box... hopefully you will get everything you wanted done. And have patience when dropping off or picking up because those are the most hectic times for especially the staff (who are working very hard to get through a large amount of patients)

Rude, unprofessional and only cared about getting me in the door, not about helping my pet. All I needed was some records faxed and they refused to do so. They will never get my business.

Adopted 4 or old Swish. He's an adorable little guy that is very happy to be home. He has fit right in and really likes all his new mice and feather stick. Could not have chosen a more loving snuggly.baby

Great prices and typically great service. I did have one vet that wasn't very receptive of anything with my special needs kitty though and after an hr drive I was not happy. Ended up getting another vet to give the shot I asked her to give him the next day and it took away his diaper rash by the morning. Have been here a few times and this was the only negative experience. Sometimes people do know their pets and they should be more receptive as opposed to getting upset about it.

Long wait time, but the staff are friendly and personable. Prices are very reasonable, I will take my pets here from now on. Most cells don t get service here.

We love this place. We have 3 cats, had a dog (before he died) and we wouldn't use anyone else. We live in the KCK area, and it's an hour and a half drive, but it's worth it. When our, now deceased, dog had parvo they took excellent care of him. Three days of being hospitalized, with medicine, and excellent care, only set us back about $200. For ALL of that. Our latest trip was today on a stray that adopted us. He had a hole in his leg. Come to find out it was a bot fly. Cleaned it out, loved on my baby, and we're now on some serious antibiotics to heal up the hole and on a regime to get him to be an inside cat from now on (already have an indoor cat, so we have to do testing to make sure he doesn't have FIV, or anything, but it has to wait until his leg is healed). This place is amazing; treats your animals with respect and TLC. We feel like they undercharge for their services, especially for the care and treatment that the animals receive. We tell all our friends about Angel Vet and will use them for as long as we live in the area.

I trust Angels with my dog they treat my dog with caring and loving respect. And they are caring and respectful to there clients i recommend them to anyone

Though I will say it was a hard for my family, Angels comforted us and reassured us they did everything humanly possible to save my dog which is more than I can say for any other Vet in my area. Everyone else turned us away due to financial hardship, but Angels Vet Express made sure they could see my dog first and foremost, before worrying about the money. They are truly all about the animal. I will be taking the other dogs i have there and any other future additions to my family.

Literally worst experience, the wait time is ok. That part what a did mind was being put in a room for over an hour while other patients were seen ahead of us 4 different times all of wich were not life threating bc it was in room directly across from us. So i could not only see tgese people come in after us but hear the conversations with the "Dr". I usually have ok experiences here but after this id rather pay full price at a different establishment. I guess you get what you pay for.

I took my sick Bella there and she made a FULL recovery from Parvo... What a heartache it was to leave her with them!! But they saved her life!

This place is honestly horrible. The people are so rude. They are at cost and are cheap yes, however.. They try and sell you as much unnecessary stuff as possible. My dog died after going there for his shots. They wouldn't give them without first "testing him" which of course was an extra 20$ he was a perfectly healthy German Shepard puppy in for his first set.. I asked for the shots not the test JUST SHOTS.. They declined me so.. About 3 weeks later.. Caught parvo of course.. And I took him back.. They told me they'd keep me updated.. They didn't. I called everyday no answer or "the vet taking care of your dog isn't in right now could I leave a message?" Only to find out almost 4 days later (when someone FINALLY answered me..) he died the night you brought him in. I was silent.. Stunned, I stuttered oh well uh thank you.. The lady goes yep and hangs up.. Worst service ever.

Angels always offers me a reasonable price. I tell everyone to go there because pets can just be so expensive. Even if you don't want to take your pet in, they will mail you discounted flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Why spend more money?

I took my cat here because it was recommended by a friend. I drove an hour to get there. The prices were amazing. However the staffs attitude was not. The lady upfront was rude from the start, they were very busy so i assumed it was just that. I got taken back into a room very quickly even though they were busy wich was awesome. The lady who came in asked me questions. I answered them she then proceeded to act like i was lying about how his leg was broken. Then acted like i was lying about him ever being a stray or in a shelter because his ear was snipped enough i explained the situation. The xray tech was great the lady who took him back to the Cray room was also great and reasurring. We go to pay and the lady from when i walked in was checking us out. I asked a question about having two cats in the same house since my boy is having his leg amputated. She then tells me its common sence and implies that i had none. I drove an hour because id heard wonderful things and wish I had the same experience as others id heard about

Best place to go for animal care. Took my female Catahoula Leopard Cur to get her spayed and they did a excellent job and took great care of her. I was also able to get all vaccines and everything she needed including flea and tick prevention meds and some for our other dogs and still came in spending less than we would have at a local vet for just the spay. Worth the drive. Guy at the Front desk is kinda pushy, but nice.

they were so rude and wanting to give my dog vaccines that he has already had and are 3 year vaccines and doesn't need them for a couple more years and telling me that the vaccines that they did get are a bad brand that doesn't work. I have been working at a clinic in Iowa for 2 years and I have never seen our vaccines fail for have a dog come in sick or not prevented against what the vaccine was good for. I will never come back to this vet they were so rude to me and my dog.

Very affordable veterinarian service, worth the extra ten or fifteen minute drive to Savannah. Obvious choice for this resident of St. Joseph's South side. Gladly drive across town and then some.

We took my daughter's dog here twice because he wasn't able to poop. They did x-ray and enemas but failed to do a rectal exam. If they had it would have saved time and money as Rowdy had a 5 cm mass (cancer) covering his rectum. He could not be saved at this point because of the size and would most likely have to amputate one of his legs as well. Angel Vet why was a rectal exam not a basic thing that could have been done! Very unhappy with their service

Very reasonably priced and very willing to work within a pet owners budget. They care about people caring for their pets and keeping the prices in a manageable price range

I have never taken my and.all to a better place. The staff are very nice and caring. I had to battle a very nasty and long lasting parasite in a kitten I bought from a breeder and the doctors were very knowledgeable, friendly, and went out if the way to help me.

Top notch place to take your animals they are caring and responsible and affordable however they could use a remodel

As always there were really amazing with how they treated the animal we brought to them. Even though they were pretty busy they still checked on us a few times while waiting and were extremely helpful in explaining medications for our cat. When you go to the right side of the building you can walk through myshoogys sanctuary and see the beautiful bridge and all the animals they have up for adoption. We love this vet and wouldn't go any where else.

We didn't even feel comfortable leaving our dog there to be neutered.
Without ANY knowledge about where we had taken our dog to (vet wise) the owner (who himself admitted he had NO formal education in the vet field) told us that our dog was given the wrong vaccines (remember he doesn't have any clue what our dog has gotten) and that any other protection (for fleas, ticks, etc) that we used but hadnt purchased through him didn't work. That only he had the real stuff that worked and that if we didn't get our dog revetted through him our dog WAS (not might, WAS) going to get something.
Fast forward to meeting the vet (off to the side in the back not in a room). The place reeked of death. Not smelled bad, smelled of Death. She also goes into how our animal WILL catch something if we don't go through them specifically and then proceeds to stick her UNGLOVED FINGER up our dogs butt. No washing, no disinfectant, NO GLOVE.
Then they wanted to put him in a "kennel" next to what looked to be a dead dog. "He has brain cancer so he doesn't really move." I'm not willing to chance my dog getting "brain cancer".
The grounds were unkept and the only one who seemed to care about our dog and not making $$$ was the receptionist.
Use at your own discretion.

I would not recommend anyone going here. Not a single staff member introduced themselves. They did not treat my dog with a potentially fatal issue approximately. I called the next day to see if I could administer any OTC analgesics safely because my pet was whining in pain. I was scolded for writing on their documentation. I have been an RN since 1990 and took my dog in with vaginal discharge and lethargy. When I checked out to pat my bill, the lady at the desk let me review the paperwork which said her genitourinary system was normal. I told her that information was incorrect at which time, she should have retrieved the veterinarian for clarification. I cross through normal and wrote that she did have vaginal discharge. But I was scolded and told that I could not return with my pet for that particular issue. That I was a nurse and that I knew better than to alter a medical record! Then the owner went on to say that since I brought in three dogs that day, they did not want to lose my business and that after my dog healed from that illness they continue to want to see me as a client. They nearly killed my dog! The very next day I had her at another animal veterinarian for emergency surgery for an open pyometra and spaying surgery.

They have taken care of my animals in the past but now they don't even have a vet that can do surgical procedures. To top it off if you call to get the medication to get rid of fleas they won't sell it to you without seeing the animal making it even more costly. Thought this vet office was there to help save money not cost you more.

They got my "Jewels" in right away. It was heartwarming to see how nice the nurses were to her. She was able to relax and the Vet doctor was friendly, caring and really worked with Friends of the Shelter to assure her meds and proper treatment was obtained. I've never been happier. They never let you down at Angels.

Worst customer service I ve dealt with in years. Unwilling to help with simple tasks.

They were kind and helpful. I came in for a second opinion for my pooch. I had several friends recommend them. The vet helped my girl and the staff made sure we understood options and cost.

I have an aggressive pitbull, but with good effort on my end, we were able to have a successful trip. Having an aggressive dog is a challenge having to take to the vet, But Angels Pet Express were very understanding. Plus the prices were phenomenal.

I took my fur babies there and it was an amazing experience, 2 cat and a dog spay and it was very reasonably priced, there was a little confusion at pick up but it was a long day for all the staff, but the situation was handled pretty easily i will be definitely be taking them back keep up the good work guys

My refusing to let him just go yet without a fight only to find the only clinic advertising family love and the greatest thing is the love of an extended family member in your pet can be. Yet their pocket book isn't fat enough for their only concern is whether they get 150 to 200 up front. What has happened to those that to save a life is the best thing. Sad shame that these kind of ppl don't exist. How can one sleep doing this. I won't be able to sleep til my baby is ok. I will pray for a miracle that both my baby will pull out of this and that either those refusing as they have shown no care or concern either close their doors or had a different yet drastic out come with their own soul. I will not just stop here. They say a pet can be a great thing to bring happiness to a family. Well that is the truth but for angels vet / mashoogy has shown that that was the only truth everything else that has been said has surely proven that that was the front they put up just for the ppl to be fooled. We have never shirked such a responsibility like this and to lump us in the same bag as everyone else is a wouldn't say racist or prejudice but more label that they only see money not love not dog not cat but what they can get out of this. I will let papers I will advertise and place BBB with complaint as well as every means thinkable with word on this. Their doors must close or they re evaluate who they really are. For only now I see cons liars and money grubbers with tax shelters and fraud ideals

Always have been a great help to my animals. In the past they had some people working for them that were bad, but they have since been replaced and it s a great set of people there now!
