Absolutely crowded, so I ended up getting just a coffee to go and a macaron.
Absolutely crowded, so I ended up getting just a coffee to go and a macaron.
Extremely expensive and very popular. People go there to eat Mont Blanc cake and drink hot chocolate. Both are good but very sweet so I would recommend you to share one cake. We had to queue to get in so it seems a very popular place specially with tourists.
The place is nice and the service is pleasant.
Big drawback on the lost brioche which was inedible because of an astronomical amount of butter.
Noisy place
Not being from Paris, I discovered this tea room on the advice of a friend.
Finally, we felt very unwelcome and rushed by the saleswoman, who didn't even show a hint of a smile and was very cold. This reception was not up to the standard of the brand, given the price of the products!
Had a hot and a cold chocolate with cream so good 10/10!
We also had two cakes both were delicious!
Great pastries expensive in a frenzy sitting to take and eat in the garden
Simply the best pasterie shop in Paris. Their Hot Chocolate is to die for! So creamy and rich, prices are standard for a high end place like this due to demand. We had to queue outside for around 30 minutes to get a table!
Rich in charm and retro style this pastry and tea room amazes and repays the long wait in line in the cold that you need to do to sit at the table. Wide, rich and sophisticated culinary offer ranging from omelets to desserts, the real specialty of the house.
This is a beautiful place to get amazing desserts. They re known for their chocolate!
My favorite Angelina Montblanc!
I definitely want to eat at the main store.
It was a Saturday evening, but we went to the store for about 30 minutes.
The staff is friendly and friendly.
Mont Blanc and sandwiches were very delicious. Very satisfied!
Exclusive setting, imperial or period rooms. The only flaw: very high prices (1 hot chocolate and two slices of cake = 26 :()
Overpriced, really bad coffee, the pastries was also pretty bad... Nice interior and freindly staff.
The chocolate is great, it is crowded and it is better to go before 4 pm.
The salmon croissant was impeccable, and my mimosa was perfect. We decided to eat here two more times during our time in Paris.
A beautiful setting and refined pastries, not to mention the chocolate called "African" which is a must!
Does not live up to the hype.
We heard about Angelina as a must go to, but could not find its appeal.
The staff was rude and inattentive, their signature pastry and another pastry we tried were not great and one had a hair in it.
Even the croissant, France's specialty, was old and oddly mildly glazed.
We've had better breakfasts at random brasseries for a fraction of the price.
Tourist trap!
The tea in the menu enough for 3 cups and can be shared. Though the hostess who took the order said it is not enough and convinced us to order 2 tea dishes. And other things.
Bad feeling.
Very expensive and does not worth it at all.
This place seemed like a real tourist trap and didn't really deserve the reputation or good reviews. Their hot chocolate cost 9 euros but want as good as any hot chocolate you can get in Spain for much much less! My partner's Mont Blanc was messily made and sat in a paper cup. It had meringue in the bottom and was very sweet with no real maron flavour to it. I have had better ones in Japan which also had candied chestnut in it. For the price, it didn't feel worth the hype. There was a massive queue of tourists and although the staff were nice, the decor felt fake to me. The lighting in the back room we were placed in was also exceptionally dark so awful for photos and atmosphere. There also seemed to be only one toilet for each sex and there was a girl in the men's when I was waiting. Surely they could provide better facilities. I would go to any other less touristy pattisiers in Paris than ever bother visiting here again.
If you re going to go to Angelina s GET A RESERVATION. It s packed ALWAYS.
If you re like us and don t realize this until you re standing out front there s a fast bar inside to the right where you can get some sweet treats and a hot chocolate.
It s thick, so I recommend sharing one unless you re a chocolate fiend.
Despite a wait of about an hour in the cold (a Saturday at 5 p.m.), the smile on arrival at this extremely warm place is there! Hot chocolate to make you fall to the ground and very pleasant servers.
Very good service, delicious products, I recommend despite the initial wait that can be a bit long!
Hot chocolate a little too sweet but excellent pastries.
The service is still very expensive and is therefore a pleasure to be granted from time to time. Far from being disappointed, my greed was perfectly satisfied.
Chocolat African is rich and delicious. Is it enough to eat the famous Mont Blanc once?
Popular souvenirs are also available at supermarkets in Paris.
What is unfortunate is subtle discrimination. Asians are very likely to be seated in front of the toilet, in front of the kitchen, or upstairs in the back of the room, not in the main glittering room. There are times when only Asians are consolidating in one place, so it seems that clothes and attitudes have nothing to do with it.
Speaking of which, you can change seats, but I wonder if it's just posted in the guidebook and says "Why is this the real thing!" Or "I'm busy!"
The service depends on the person in charge of customer service, so it is "luck".
Amazing hot chocolate which was delicious. The cakes are stunning and the lunch menu is very good if you do want a savoury option. Very quaint and old fashioned with friendly staff . Part of Paris heritage.
the chocolate is still good, just courteous welcome, thankfully the place is beautiful
I know this is probably one of the most popular names for sweet lovers! Eclairs....chocolates and sweets with lunch options.
Cute place. Small little tables....worth seeing before the Louvre (across the street). French decor.
I'm not a sweet lover....but kids definitely liked it and were bouncing off the walls for hours. Caesar Salad was good.....nice place to visit for a bite.
We made early reservations for breakfast and we were sat very quickly. It's a beautiful place to eat in a great location.
Parisian Breakfast: The hot chocolate was very good. It was thick and delicious to dip a croissant. The croissant was average, but made better with the hot chocolate.
Eggs Benedict: The bacon was really good and all of the components were good, but I wan't overwhelmed by the dish. I definitely had better a few days earlier in London.
Service: Great service and fast.
Would I eat here again? Maybe. I think I am more inclined to try some of the mom and pop places farther out of the center of Paris. But it was worth the experience.
One of the historic tea rooms of Paris. There is always a lot of waiting to enter, especially during periods of high tourist flow. Very abundant breakfast menus, delicious pastries and you can enjoy one of the best chocolates in Paris. There are two inner rooms of which the first, historical, is very beautiful.
You'll have read much about the famous hot chocolate. It's good but I'm not sure it's worth a 45 minute wait for a table if you really want to take in the ambience.
The cakes though, wow.
There was a short line to get in. Place had great architecture and delicious food. Servers knew enough English to provide good service.
My sweet was beautiful but it was not a magic sweet kkkk the place is beautiful with lots of tables and paintings on the walls is beautiful, the service is very especial.vale know I ate a sweet pistachio
In August, at the end of the afternoon, too many tourists, you have to fill the space, we are on top of each other. The choice of cakes is limited, no restocking. But it is good...
Very nice setting, tail not too long, pleasant staff. However, the cake I took had no taste (that of a pink color), I was very disappointed considering the price ...
I will not come back
This and a cappuccino costed 13. And it took more than 30 minutes to arrive.
I tried to visit at the same time as the opening, but it was 9 o'clock after 30 minutes. If you don't want to line up, you should go around 9:30.
The classic Mont Blanc is delicious and satisfying. It's quite big. The drink asked for latte, but the coffee was not delicious. It may be safe to ask for tea.
Quiet place. The staff is considerate. Nice home. Hot chocolate is divine!
Location mythical and beautiful setting but especially the quality of desserts and a staff that is professional and pleasant
This place lives up to is reputation; if you have a sweet tooth, you must absolutely come here. My favorite so far has been the millefeuille though their signature Mont Blanc is definitely something you shouldn't pass up.
Who doesn't love Angelina? Someone who hasn't been there yet. All the pastries we had were as tasty as they were beautiful. The hot chocolate is indescribably delicious. You must go!
Very concentrated chocolate. The Parisian breakfast is nice. Lots of people in this popular place.
The best hot chocolate in Paris.
The onion soup is also very tasty. They have the famous chocolate bread, which is worth a try.
There is usually a queue but it is fast. The waiters speak great english.
Nice and romantic environment
Chocolate from another world. Great place for coffee and hot chocolate tasting
Place victim of its success: you have to be patient and arrive well before closing. Once there, you are captivated by the charm of the place! Quite expensive but desserts up to par: excellent and well presented. Possibility to buy take-out at the shop.
It is a typical tourist trap. The prices are skyrocketing, but the chocolate is really medium
The best hot chocolate i have ever drink!! Recommended place
Pastries were good but not life changing. The hot chocolate though was amazing
You pay for the quality of the breakfast pastries in the setting. On the other hand the gla
These are nondescript and expensive to avoid.
Waitress a very poor server. Sat in very back wall. Not how I remember my last visit.
No reservation possible. My wife is pregnant so I don't see us waiting 50 minutes outside and standing. It is a real scandal for this type of institution.
If a woman is pregnant, she therefore has no right to come to this establishment. It is clearly discrimination.
So I do not recommend.
What can I say? It was a lovely place and the treats were delicious! Our waiter was attentive and kind. There was a small wait but honestly, worth it
I had a hot chocolate and a blackcurrant vanilla nun. The hot chocolate is delicious, and the nun was good but no more (however it was much less beautiful than the presentation). The atmosphere is at the rendezvous and the experience was very good despite a price much too high. The quality to be at the rendezvous, the price remains excessive!
Great tea menu, good cakes, relaxing; a reference !
Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Servers were awful. They were condescending and rude, not polite or helpful whatsoever. The macaroons were nothing better than the prepackaged department store bought ones you can get from a winners in Canada. Everything was extremely over priced. The croissants were the only half decent thing on the menu. Please, save yourself the headache and money.
if you go to Paris, it's a must, short break 4 hours
that does good, in a beautiful neighborhood
Chocolate is a treat as well as pastries
Worth the detour, very friendly waiter
The wait is worth it for this Parisian institution. An exceptional setting that makes us feel exceptional. A magical moment and exquisite dishes as if descended from paradise. I had never tasted hot chocolate like Angelina's; a wonder.
Very good, but a little expensive .
The hot cocholate, supposed to be thicker or have 2 different types
Queued outside for an afternoon tea: just shows you how sought after this place is. Didn't have to wait long though: we were couple and baby in a pram: no problem at all in a busy place like this: very friendly and helpful staff. Tried the best millefeuille ever, which is served at a 90 degree angle! Revelation! Why hasn't the rest of the world thought of this! My wife had the signature Mont Blanc, which frankly I found a bit heavy (well, had to try it of course). Great atmosphere, but not posh at all.
Hot chocolate is amazing. Worth the trip just for that. Very different from other hot chocolate.
Welcome at the top
Fine and succulent pastry
Beautiful place
Good hot chocolate but not sure that the patisseries are worth the cost.
