I'm hearing and my ex is Deaf. At one point, he became very ill with complications, and was hospitalized for 6 weeks. Cynthia and her team were wonderful, showing up quickly to the ER when he was taken there, and were there throughout the weeks he was in the hospital, all his follow up appointments at the doctor's office and homecare appointments. Every interpreter was professional and accurate, and we couldn't have gone through everything as smoothly we did without them. On the rare occasion that we got an interpreter from another agency, they were not as professional, there was often confusion regarding the appointment date/time, and many times they interpreted some critical information incorrectly. No other interpreting agency that we've encountered is as good as National Interpreting Service, and we always specifically requested them when making medical appointments.
