Just applied for an apartment and I was denied because amrent pulled up my sister s criminal record and said it was me. How embarrassing, my credit is excellent, I ve never committed any crimes and I have a good rental history and them reporting false information was the only thing that messed me up. Thank for slandering my name and making me out to be a criminal. I ve worked too hard to get where I am in life just to have some faulty company destroy my good name. Sad

this is a terrible company with a bad reputation and fails people for bs reasons, not to mention they only go by trans union reports! lowest out of all 3 majors.. im good to go if they used my equifax report..... but now I am refused.

They falsify information , claims I have a eviction on my record, when I've never rented before. They can't even prove it. I hired a attorney to pull my records and it shows no evictions.

This company should be sued for providing false and slanderous information on unsuspecting people.

AmRent reports false information on their criminal background check. Even though they have a social security number to work with, they only work with a first name, last name and dob, omitting middle name and SSN. Therefore, they mismatch people's information. They mismatched my daughter's name and dob to a criminal that had NOTHING to do with my daughter, but share same first and last name and same date of birth. Now, she is considered a criminal and can't rent a place because of AmRent's negligence. When you call AmRent, they tell you that they will investigate and will take up to 30 days and in the meantime my daughter has no place to live because of their questionable ways of mismatching criminal records without a middle name and Social Security Number. If anyone has had a similar problem please feel free to email me. I am hoping to meet more people that have experienced the same situation to unite forces and see if something can be done to stop companies such as AmRent to report false information.

AmRent reports false information on their criminal background check. They pulled a false report on my husband because they didnt use a SS#. They shouldnt be allowed to do business if they are not going to do their job properly.

Incorrect and false background check, no idea how they mixed me up with someone across the country with multiple felonies, but it was infuriating trying to get the apartment I wanted thanks to these guys. I tried calling in a dispute and had a horrible customer service experience. They were no help and not able to find my report. Sketchy company, would not recommend anyone to use.
