Super chill cocktail bar with solid drinks. Gets a bit crowded during peak hours, but tbh that s to be expected in NYC. I d recommend to either come early or super late if you re coming on a Friday or Saturday to avoid a wait :)

Tucked away, hidden gem. Great cocktails and laid back atmosphere. Look for the Ampersand sign ;-)
Great service and drinks. Not very spacious, but I would recommend any day for a few drinks with a friend
4.5 rounding to 5. Boutique craft cocktail first and foremost. Not sure if they have food, just got drinks. Boutique cocktail menu, but all seem to be high quality. Limited beer and wine, but again, focus here is on mixology. Mixologists are skilled and can adapt and make suggestions based on your particular preference. Atmosphere is warm industrial with mild classic speakeasy /early 20th century accents.

This review is for drinks/late-night only. I've yet to try the food (although I want to!). They have a very diverse cocktail menu and something for everyone. Not to mention, they are yummy! We walked in with a group late on Saturday night and easily found a place to sit. It was a fun crowd but we could also easily have a conversation without shouting over others. Have gone back since and will continue to go back! Hidden gem on 3rd!
not a good place to go out and have some drinks with friends, that lady named Yam is very nasty and disrespectful, i heard her yelling at her staff in a not decent or professional way!, the food wasn t the greatest either!!

Ampersand bar had a nice atmosphere, plenty of young people and good music. Drinks are reasonable and very quickly maid, and the bartenders are quite attentive. It was however very hot even in April with very little air, or air conditioning to be found.
Nice place with solid cocktails and beers, but avoid during rush times because it's not great when it's packed.
What an amazing bar! I have the bar tenders my spirit of choice and preferred flavor profile and they made magic happen. Amazing amazing drinks!!! Can't wait to go back

An unbeatable cocktail bar since the day it opened, Ampersand has added a touch of (unpretentious) class to the neighborhood. Great staff, awesome light food options, and an always impressive arsenal of cocktails and drinks, I'm yet to have anything less than a stellar experience in here.

The symbol "&" is the letters "et" ("and") smushed together, and the word "ampersand" is the words "and per se and" smushed together. It can be written as either an 8 with a tail or a backwards 3 with a line. There's an ampersand in the url of this page and in the code in the backend. And now it's a bar too (not to be confused with the '|' glyph). Being alive is exhausting
One of my favorite bars in the area. Super chill, good lighting, great food, lots of space and seats. And oh man, the food is awesome!! The drinks get the job done, too, haha.

Moved into the area recently (abt 2 mos of this writing) and found this spot. Extremely good cocktail menu. Known for that. A buddy in hospitality also told me about it so many in the industry also seem to hang out there.
Expect appropriate prices as well to go along with the high end cocktails. (As it should be!) Great service. Staff had been there for a while. Definitely has a date type feel to it. Not a happy hour type place.
Food is also REALLY good. Definitely a plus. Highly recommended.
Our bartender Moria was amazing and made the most delicious drinks. Food was great as well! The night ended with my boyfriend proposing and a shot on the bartender! Great experience!
The cocktails are creatively delicious, and the bartenders are super friendly. If you are ever in Gramercy park area, this tavern is the place to be. Local craft beers and hand crafted cocktails make Ampersand a must have!

Best and absolute favorite bar in the city. Great food. Incredible cocktails. Best bartenders!! A little hard to find due to no sign, but we like it that way!
The burger-burger was delicious as well as the "I'll have another" which is similar to a mint Julep but with extra fruit. Bells two-hearted ale on draft was a pleasant surprise. Bartender was friendly and the atmosphere is laid back and easy to hold a conversation without having music blaring. Overall a great find!
If you're not careful you will walk by it. Cozy and dark with good cocktails.

One of my favorite bars in NYC. The location has a surprising amount of seating for such a small bar. The staff are all great. They have a good beer and wine list as well as a great cocktail menu. It's the perfect neighborhood bar for meeting a few friends. They also have a good happy hour menu and surprisingly good food.
Cocktails and vibe was great. I didn't give 5 stars because the patrons were obnoxious.
