I've never had a good experience buying a new vehicle. I always feel pushed or pulled into something that I've never felt satisfied with. That all changed when I came to Ames Ford Lincoln. My salesperson, Travis, was more than helpful to find something that fit my needs in a new vehicle. When he told me all the incredible options that the newest Ford Explorer offered, we both knew it'd be the vehicle for me. I can't thank Travis and Ames Ford Lincoln enough for finally giving me a great car buying experience. I would recommend them to anybody that's in the car buying market.

I got there and was pleased that multiple people made sure I had been helped and wasn't waiting around. I came in and got my car fixed and the service area was very clean and so were the workers. They explained to me what I needed to get fixed right now, and what I could probably wait on if I didn't want to spend a lot of money at the moment. Also the staff there were very nice and welcoming to me.

I purchased a 2018 Ford Raptor from salesman by the name of Kerrigan. I found a few of these trucks online and set my eyes on this specific one. I contacted the salesman and asked if the truck could be purchased for advertised price which was MSRP. I then purchased the truck and sent a driver to pick it up. Come to find out the driver said window sticker was nowhere to be found. Once the truck arrived to Arizona the window sticker was folded in small square in between owners manual. I then discovered price on purchase agreement was NOT MSRP and in fact 2000 dollars over which was never disclosed. I then contacted management with the issue and offered me 500 dollars for any inconvenience which was an insult would never do buisness with this dealer again. Be very careful and ask to see window sticker up front dont trust anybody s word there see for yourself.

I just bought a used F-150 this last week from Ames Ford and they were very helpful and had answers to all my questions. Customer service is top notch and everything went very smooth. My salesman, Andrew Schulte, was very courteous and walked me through the process efficiently. I am very satisfied with my experience and look forward to doing business with them in the future!

I have nothing but praise for the mechanic who worked on my car! Dale went above and beyond to help me during my wife's health crisis. My vehicle broke down just before my wife's appointment in CB scheduled for the next day. He worked hard as hell and got my car back to me way before the estimated completion time. He cares and understands when people need help when others turn there noises up. I thank you and my wife thanks you! I will be back!

Great place to get a car, they let you know upfront that they are a best price company and they are not paid on commission. It makes the buying process so much easier knowing I will not be pressured into buying a car I cannot afford. The people working there are very helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. Also they have TV in the rest rooms and in the mens room, I am told there is a pool table. This place really goes above and beyond on trying to make you feel comfortable when buying a car.

I had a remarkably great experience with this particular dealership in Ames. . . what impressed me, so much, was the true no pressure "to buy" attitude coupled with some of the nicest people you can meet. In particular, I commend Hans Halbur for his very honest appraisal of my used vehicle and great "fair" price on the car purchased . . . not only that, but he made sure some minor body work details were fixed perfectly before delivery. Secondly, my salesman CJ Davis-Kovarik made the process absolutely enjoyable. Not only am I now a new faithful customer but will not hesitate to have my service-work done at this modern/clean dealership. . . It should be noted that other salesmen (like Benji), "after the sale," offered assistance without hesitation. What a great team at Ames Ford Lincoln! Well done!!

Leased a new Ford in February 2017. Salesperson was very unprofessional (to be fair he parted ways soon after). Had serious engine problems on the drive home day one. Salesperson was a ghost so I talked to the service manager. Rather than wanting to make things right, I was told I could go to any Ford dealership rather than them stepping up. Had problem after problem which my local dealership bent over backwards to resolve over the course of months. Meanwhile my dealings with Ames Ford were beyond frustrating. They told me they could buy my car back to resolve the issues. I drove an hour down to find out their buyback proposal was going to cost me an additional $100/month for an identical new car because they hadn't bothered to review my transaction within their dealership and recognize I had a trade-in and down payment. Their argument was that to buy it back for enough to match my current payment would cause them to lose money on the car, bearing in mind again this was their suggestion to me to resolve the issues. They also sold my trade-in for a tidy profit less than two weeks after I traded it, which meant there was a finite amount of money on the table to make things right with me, but that never happened. In 20+ years of buying and selling cars it stands alone as my one wholely negative experience. Wouldn't even jokingly recommend to someone I dislike.

I went to Ames Ford looking for a used car. Right away Chase greeted me, he was friendly and professional. I didnt feel pressured and overall the experience was good.

We purchased our van in Jan 2016. First things first the van's DVD system quit, the smart key door lock button quit, the oil was not changed, it was also missing the remote and headphones for the dvd system. They did give us a replacement remote and 2 headphones. The van went in for service for the smart key locking button and they couldn't figure it out. They replaced the DVD control panel. They told me to oil was changed they just didn't take the old sticker out and put a new one in. When summer hit last year the air wasn't working right but by then they didn't care. We have had electrical issues of and on all the time. This summer the air went completely empty. I don't know why this vehicle is gavin so many issues but I don't feel like it was checked over before they sold it.

The staff was very polite. Not pushy. Never once felt like I was pressured to purchase my car. Found a nice used car at a good price. Paige was easy to work with, answered my questions, and made the experience very pleasant.

Buying a car shouldn t be hard, I would highly recommend Ames Ford Lincoln. When it comes to the sales person, honestly is what it takes for me. Chris is not only honest but upfront and knowledgeable. He will work with you to find what you want and need within your price range. New or Used, check them out and ask for Chris.

Visited Ames Ford Lincoln earlier this month after visiting a few Ford dealers in Des Moines. We worked with Larry and gave him our budget and what features we wanted. Since they did not have a vehicle on their lot that matched our criteria, he searched other dealers in the midwest and ended up finding the perfect vehicle for us. Overall great experience!

For a first time buyer, buying a vehicle was very intimidating. When I sat down with Stephen Krough, I was immediately put at ease with the upfront prices and honesty, and the very personable attitude he had! Don't bother going to the service department if you're expecting helpful or concerned individuals. I was having issues with my check engine light going off and on. They acted like they didn't have any time to deal with it and told me that it was the battery. It's funny that it didn't fix the issue but when I went over to Boone, Moffitt's couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. They took the time to find the real problem and started to work on it right away. Do yourself a favor and go to Boone if you need your vehicle serviced.

I called and spoke with Zach first thing yesterday morning. He gave me all the information I needed and offered to stay late to help get me in the car. Zach and Spencer worked to get me exactly what I was looking for. They were willing to answer my many questions and Zach was willing to mail me something I forgot in my trade in! Spencer gave me time to think about some additional options and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision. I had been car searching for a while thought some other dealerships, but Zach was able to help me get into a car same day that I called. I appreciate they were both willing to stay after hours to get me in my car and on my way! I highly recommend Ames Ford Lincoln - especially Zach and Spencer!

Review on same day as transaction. This was my first time buying a car from a dealer, so my brother and I were prepared for a little to a lot of BS, and we got none. Stephen was candid, courteous, and has a sense of humor! He made an effort to get to know us as he walked us through their process and he was focused on helping us a vehicle that I could be satisfied leaving with, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. I knew exactly what I was getting. They took care of the plates and registration at my option, and with the trade-in, the final price was more affordable than I had prepared to sign for. And no haggling! Well worth returning in the future!

When you buy a new vehicle there is a forever power train warranty that s with the purchase of the vehicle. As a rancher, that s a huge piece of mind and a money saver. Bought a car.next day has check engine light on and gas cap wont open.take it in they fix gas cap and break my trunk.say they wont work on it or issue with check engine light on.next day radiato hoses blow.and shop that looks for issues would have caught some of these.never getting my money again.this was nevada location

We purchased a 2015 F150 from Andrew at Ames Ford Lincoln. I had been looking for a truck with very specific options. I was at a point where I thought ordering was going to be my best option. When I shared my request with Andrew, he knew they did not have the truck to meet my requirements, but immediately went to work looking for one. Within a couple of days, they had a truck found and secured.
When it came time for the "paper work", due to logistics and timing, I could not take delivery the same day I signed all paper work. Andrew made this painless as well. He met us at our credit union the day before delivery with dealer paper work, allowing us to do everything in one place without making another trip to dealership.
At delivery time, the truck looked great, with exception to a couple of minor flaws my "picky" eyes found. Again, Andrew took note of this and was quick to get things rolling to have these issues resolved. Everyone I delt with truly seemed motivated to make sure the whole process was as pleasant as possible.
I have already began passing the word about my experience and will continue to do so.

Working with Levi went even better than we could have planned. It was a quick and easy process from start to finish. Our car buying experience in the past (which has happened a LOT) never went as smooth as it did with Levi and his team at Ames Ford Lincoln! Would recommend them to everyone in the market for a new or used vehicle.

The sales process was excellent and they were not pushy with me whatsoever. However, when I purchased a brand new 2018 F 150, I expected it to be NEW. The truck had over 300 miles on it, a scratch in the chrome bumper, and a bubble in the paint that ripped off within 24 hours of me driving it. I took it to the service department and they said they'd have to send the photos to Ford to see if it'd even be covered under warranty, even though it was labeled as a defect and therefore should be covered. The sales department then said the store would cover the damage even if Ford declined to since I only had the vehicle one day. They were supposed to call me back with an appointment for the following week. I waited all day, and have not yet received a call. I then called the service department myself, and no one answered nor have they returned my message. I have a brand new truck and now a chunk of paint completely off one of my doors and no one seems to be responsive or care since the purchase is done.

** UPDATE **

Ford did take care of the paint issue and it does look fantastic. As mentioned before, the sales team was great, however, the financing department made it a poor experience. I was lied to about my interest rate and just found out. I was also told I could not get an 84 month loan through my bank, but when I went to talk to my bank 3 months later they said I could always have gotten that loan term. I immediately refinanced to get my loan out of Ford's hands and now all is good. 3% lower rate at Greater Iowa and the associates were far more trustworthy. I would buy another Ford, and would debate on using Ames Ford but would definitely would not finance with them.

Levi was very knowledgeable and helpful in researching several options and I look forward to buying my future truck from him.

I call to pick up a vehicle two days before a head of time. I told them my story and how I needed one. I get there and they don't have it ready. I took the time out of my day to drive up to Ames only to come back empty handed. I waited there for about an hour before they told me that they don't have it ready.
