As a member, it's taken me so long to receive out of network reimbursements. They make the same error over and over again with sending my out of network claim through an automated service that sends checks to the doctors so that the docs have extra money and I get none. As a result, I am very frustrated with being cash healthcare poor. I don't have any other choice with my employer, Burlington County, NJ.
Absolutely awful! They told me I had coverage And even sent me an email congratulating me on my renewal. After a month I did not receive an invoice I called And was told policy was canceled! By now I had missed open Enrollment.
When re-enrolling, my representative was exceptional in returning phone calls, answering questions, and seeing my issues through to the end. I really appreciated the services of Michaela Veliche.
Amerihealth Administrators is part of the overall greedy Independence Blue Cross family of companies, IBC, AHA, IA, all the same. They are all awful. They know they have a monopoly, there isn't enough competition to drive them to make improvements. Their computer system and IT department is lacking and a total mess. The training they provide customer service reps is a joke. This is a company that does not care about customer service, they pretend like they do, but they really don't.
I know several people who worked/work for this company and I know what their culture is like, it's awful. They don't hire good people, they don't provide appropriate job training, nobody there cares.

Worst employer I have ever worked for!! They are very cut throat and will fire you for no reason. You're better off working with the Results Company... they pay more anyway. RUN from this place
Worst insurance. Have a very sick child with multiple disabilities. They have denied so many medically necessities. We are struggling to get things even her special formula. She is suffering. They should be ashamed of themselves.
If you could give 0 stars, then they would deserve -5 stars.. I received an unsolicited letter of "Notice of Voluntary Withdrawl" by UPS dated July 2. It took me 45 minutes of telephone tag to get to a human from their voice mail prompts. They gave me a number to their Credentialing Department that was taken out of service on July 1.
Basically a scam. $1,040.00 per month, and does not cover anything. Pointless to even have, as you end up paying out of pocket for everything or your deductible is so high, you will go poor before you need it. CEO should be jailed. One star is too many.
This is a general review of the company, not this building specifically. We switched to my husband's insurance which cost more just so we didn't have to deal with trying to get reimbursements any time we'd go out of network. It's definitely not the reps fault that you talk to, they try to be as helpful as they can (which is why this is two stars not one). But the department in charge of processing claims does a horrible job.
