I was contacted by HR for a mobile phlebotomist job in CT. The interview was set up. I had to cancel because I was sick. I emailed them. They guy was out of the office told me to contact Suzie, I did. Suzie got back to me to reschedule near the holiday ( she's told I'm out of town for a few days. I asked her to get back to me if we can reschedule at another time. I never heard back from Suzie or Maurice. Emails where ignored. Kinda rude ( they should've acknowledged to say position is still available or we filled it. ) I'm at the point where I don't know if it's a good idea for me to apply with other jobs with ARC or if I'm just going to waste my time or get a run around.

The opposite of love is not hate but indifference Eli Wiesel

Currently the Red Cross has a campaign to equip low income mobile homes with smoke detectors. I called them up - endless transferring me from one person to another.
We have had two fires in our park. So after three days of calling around they tell me that they will give me one MAYBE in more than 40 days since volunteers install them. My offer to pick it up and install it myself was declined. So before you give ask yourself why the CEO makes 500000 USD and the management only 400 000 per year

The location is really very convenient and I usually find 2-hour parking on the street. The facility itself is old but modern on the inside,
in fact very pretty. Staff are very nice. It can get busy sometimes so prepare accordingly. Rapid Pass saves some of that time.

Stayed in a "shelter" during hurricane Florence. Slept on a urine-stained floor as Red Cross did not supply beds. They had blankets and pillows that they refused to give out. There was no food. There was no water. There were no supplies to clean ourselves with. Folks had knives and guns in the shelter, were doing drugs and having sex. Bed bugs and other diseases spread throughout and many were so sick they needed to go to the hospital. If I had any involvement whatsoever in this organization I would die from the shame. I have already stopped dozens of people from ever contributing again.
