American Heritage is like no other place in the banking world. It's absolutely the best. As soon as you walk in your greated, they also build you and help you with everything from start to finish with the customer always understanding everything involved with accounts they are very detailed which is excellent they explain everything to the point.
Also the rates and percentages and rewards back is better then any Bank or any other Credit Union. Also transferring money from from checking to savings account is done right on my APP saving me a trip to the building they make ur that easy and simple for everyone. Hacked. Had my atm and credit card both compromised within one week. They blame card skimmers. I dont use my credit card at the atm. When I called customer service after 2 purchases where made in california, the lady was very rude, asked to speak with her supervisor and she said I needed to call back to talk in order to speak to someone else. Then was hung up on. I dont need a bank like this when there is fraud occurring.

I have been a member for years, but in the last few years the service and system has been making a lot of mistakes costing customers money in fees by other vendors due to their erroneous processing and delays. Customer service automatically says it's your mistake. However, I have had to get angry for them to look into something further, and 3 times in the last few months they have discovered it was a system error. However, they won't admit that unless you insist there is something wrong. Now, they are no longer available on weekends, so delays and fees also get charged if you don't discover the issue by Friday 5pm EST. It has gone down hill in customer service and system is not good quality anymore.

Went there today to open an account, the lady attended (Marilyn) was very unpleasant. Didn't even greet us in the beginning. Seemed like she didn't care about a potential business.

Do not use this bank if you plan on getting a car loan with a co-borrower. Especially if it's a parent and you do not fall under their so called "parental umbrella". Because you will be denied.

No fee checking and always had the lowest loan % rates when I was comparing.

Customer service - Call Center supervisor 1793 teller number the worse Should not be a supervisor she said to me if you do not listen to me and listen to what I have to sayi will not give you refund. Let's see what happens1793 teller .Really needs to go back to class. Anyway I send more than 30mins with 1793 for her to say she would not give me the refund. Call back to the Call Center ask for a manager over top of 1793. Got what I needed to get done

There are far superior credits unions in the Philadelphia market to choose from. I d suggest investing in more employees that have financial background so they can suggest appropriate products and services.

Absolutely the worst bank in the entire world they never have any time to call you, you cannot get a hold of them you need your account number to get a hold of them you can t even give them your social. Their automated system is absolutely a nightmare. Overall worst back ever

im a nurse who recent became unemployed due to covid . i asked to refi my car loan which ive been paying for 3 yrs $140.00 ea month in finance chges plus.... they want to charge me 5000.00 finance chges. thats more then it cost me to refi my home loan.. there totally taking advantage of hard working americans... shame on these greedy crooks. im going to tade the car back to the dealer, screw these crooks...

Worst credit union ever been a member for over 10 yrs it was all good long as I had a Acct in good standing fall on a hard time they disregard you over drafted 350 they sent it to check systems after I paid. Needed a letter from them stating the Acct was paid and they didn t give me nothing. They have it in the system I paid but will not give me proof

Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable about the operation there it was nice to see the pride in a company and I live close to the redlion branch and it doesn't matter what time of year it is the facility looks beautiful, and any event they host or sponsored is extremely well planned and organized with plenty of staff to help, best thing i have done was joining there

I've used this bank for years but lately they have done nothing but cause me stress. We have direct deposit, credit card and loans with them but have to jump through hoops to get any account open. It is a painful process to open and close an account. The auto draft for loan payments is faulty and sometimes does not pull the payment. They run credit checks just to open a savings account and when you need their help the most they turn their back. We will be closing all of our accounts and moving to a better credit union.

I've been a member since 1992! I've since moved and lived in 2 additional states and still bank with AMH! Love the employees, services and attention I get as a member.

I love this credit union especially the bill payer I haven't used a stamp in 4 years.

They never answer the phone! I've called twice now to find information on becoming a member- waited 35 mins for someone to answer the first time and 12 mins the second time before I hung up. Bad customer service via phone.

My main financial institution! LOVE them!

Have been a member since 2005 and only have great things to say! They are always friendly and helpful. They continue to go above and beyond. I have multiple accounts including a little savers account for my little one as well as my car loan through AMHFCU.

I appreciate the events/charities they have as well such as Gelatin Olympics for the Kids-N-Hope Charity and Adopt-A-Family during the holidays.

I have recommended American Heritage FCU to many people over the years and will continue to do so!

I see why people use shoe box methods of banking. Clair, Beth and this whole institution is crooks. Use them for what they are worth and that's it. Complete idiots.

Was on the rush to my friend wedding and need change some money from a lot of $20 bill to 3 $100 bill they would not doit because I don't have account. You know what I would never open account with bank like that.

Ginny, the manager is one of a kind as are all the tellers I have used. Never any hassle and always polite and friendly. rhawn st branch the best.

Worst bank ever. Online teller is totally outdated. I can not connect from EU. The tellers/associates are clueless?! I would not recommend it.

Scumbag operation. The hourly employees work hard and are underpaid. Management is a bunch of spineless yes men.

I've been banking here for years. AMHFCU always treated me fair and willing to go the extra mile. They have all the services to get you financially fit. But, you can't always tell people how to manage their money. As my mom would say..."people spend their money on 2 things: food and foolishness".

I've been with this credit union for years. This credit union would never give us a home loan, but gave us all the personal loans, and car loans. Thank you amhfcu, I finally bought my home without you.

pleasant experience, no hassle, so far i had better experience with this bank than USAA or Wells Fargo

Not sure what the other people are talking about because i've never got hit with fees, unlike a lot of the other banks around. Everyone is friendly and I would would refer my friends and family.

Weekend hours are killing me. Saturday at 3pm. Really?? And no Sunday's. You can buy alcohol but can't bank. I don't get it.

I've been a member of AHFCU for 10 years. I was recently denied a car loan request without a valid reason. I had a car loan with them before,which I paid off. I also have a credit card through them with a $0 balance. I have excellent credit, so I'm really disappointed by this.

Have been banking there for over 25 years.
No problems until I hit a personal financial snag and had to claim bankruptcy.
I had no issues with any other creditors except this bank.
They made a awful personal situation worse.

This place is a 5 star bank. Went to open up a checking account and Carrie helped me. She was wonderful. Then they wanted my opinion on some new technology they are testing out and I love that they involve their customers on such things! I met the two branch managers as well which were also super lovely. I wouldn t have changed a thing about this experience.

Customer Service at this branch is at a 20 year low!!!
I wouldnt recommend this place anymore. After 20 plus years I will be closing my account and seeking another financial institution.

Very courteous and helpful employees. Convenient hours, location, and and ATM's. Poor rates. Hidden fees. Slow service. Beautiful building and grounds. I hate to use the cliche, but American Heritage is a series of tradeoffs. They work for me.

The policies and programs of banks, target the stockholders. AmHFCU works for the members and they do it very well.

Can't never get anyone on the phone and they told me my pin was invalid when I tried to use my card. I had to wait 4 days to get a new card and they never sent the new pin with it?

Closed on Sunday?? Recently opened a savings account. Very unhappy you don't have Sunday hours. Going to need a bank that does

I do not recommend this bank for anyone. Same one gave me a check from this bank. I was inside to would check-cash from that check as a proof that check will not closed soon. The bank leader told me if I am not member of that bank my check can be cashed if I a proof my self with 2 ID and pay $ 5.00 fee . It looks like I have about $ 400.00 in that bank
/that check was for $ 400.00/ but I can not receive my money as long I do not pay $ 5.00 fee as I am not member and I do not want to be member of that bank. Is this a legal stolen extra money by bank ?

This place is terrible the first time I go to use my card it says invalid pin then I went to the atm in Wawa tried to take 40 dollars out four times and it wouldn t let me I called the credit union and they said there systems are having problems and when I got home that night I checked my account and it took 80 out but I never got to take 80 out because there systems weird messed up and so far it s been a problem getting my money back so I m about to leave this credit union and go to a different one or to a bank where I know My card will work

After many years with this bank I must move on. Customer service is non existent. The drive through is under staffed. What used to take 2-3min to make a dep is now 6-7min. Staff seems unhappy and over worked. Sorry for the negative review but the last 2 years experiences forced me to write it.

Am Heritage FCU is a wonderful experience, polite personnel calling you by name at the branch where you usually go , where tellers know you, no check writing, no deposit slips. The tellers are serving you based on knowing you visually. Just simply say "I need $100 from checking/savings" If they don't know you, you must show an ID card (NO check writing). Free checking does it for me! I also had a car loan with them, and again it was a very good experience, good rates (no fees)

I don t understand how a bank can block a debit card when you visit certain states on top of it! Especially After hours! When there s nobody to contact!!

I have had my share of banking issues and nobody has been more helpful then the staff at American Heritage. They have continuously tried to help me solve problems that I've had whether it was big or small. I've been a member for about 3-4 years and they have been the easiest to work with and the friendliest. Having come from Wells Fargo and PNC in the past, it's no contest. Thanks for all your help!

Kayla at Red Lion branch took money from another customer account and placed it in my account- huge error!!!!! Kayla definitely needs retraining- try to avoid her window and double check your receipts. Manger was unhelpful and unfriendly. Very poor customer service!!!

Will never do buissens with this bank again. 2 years ago the held my money cause of there negligent.

I've been with this institution for many, many years. The last few years they have gone downhill. Just responded to a credit card offer they sent me, and I have an exemplary credit rating. You'd think I was applying for a mortgage. Tried their e mail application, didn't work, then they wanted me to come to their branch, ( none close to me), to " sign", and when I said I wish they'd mail it, because they originally said they couldn't, they said yes, they could. No one bothered to tell me that I had to get my signature NOTARIZED, for a CREDIT CARD, then said " oh, you can come to a branch and we'll do it free ". I had it mailed so I didn't have to go to a branch. Apparently, the security information I give over the phone to access my PRIVATE ACCOUNTS isn't good enough to get a credit card. Applied for a card from somewhere else, over the phone, and was approved in 5 minutes.

I hate providing negative ratings; however, I do not recommend this bank for anyone. there are many better credit unions and alternative banking solutions. This bank makes it very difficult to close an Account. They treat customers poorly. Closing an old checking account was/is unnecessarily painful. Recommend that anyone with large accounts move them immediately. In addition to poor service, their systems and policies are antiquated.
