Food was good but the cheese should be on the in side of omelet and should be cheddar cheese

I was visiting from out of town. The service was exceptional, the food was hot and in abundance, and I look forward to stopping in again on my next visit.

Absolutely the best service around!! Food is great too!

Always a great hot tenderloin sandwich at lunch and you can't beat the price.

Maybe the food is different during morning and lunch but ordered omelets and pancakes in the evening and it took forever with like 6 tables in there two tables got their food before ours and when ours came out it looked like it had been cooked in a rush hashbrowns were burnt wife's omelet had a hair in it and sent it back they never remade it said our meal was free but we wanted my wife's meal remade I would of gladly paid for it but never made it no one checked on us we finally went up after trying to catch the one waitress and asked where was her omelet "oh we didn't know you still wanted it" never be back again the quality has been going downhill the last few years!!!!

Absolute horrible service! Came in at 7:40 and they are open until 8 and had to listen to server complain in the kitchen about how we should have come in earlier...pretty sure they are open to serve until 8:30 on Friday nights...

Service was OK. We came in on a non-rush hour so wasn't real busy. Food was very basic and taste was very bland. We eat there a couple times a year and it's the same every time.

Food was awful! Ordered salad and wrap. Saw a waiter set dust pan on counter while sweeping. In need of a food inspector!!

House made pop was gross. Fettuccine alfredo was very very bland, garlic bread was ok way to salty for my liking and the noodles weren't cut at least in half. But the service was good nice young lady. Wouldn't choose this place as a go to after today.

I enjoy meeting people at the restaurant for breakfast, the food is great and service is good also.

Nestled in the south side of the busy town of Spencer IA. is a small nook of a foodery that we had the opportunity to eat in. Building was very nice. It looked like an old A&W was there but we walk in to yummy smells and a warm home eatery. Seated at our table and I opened my menu: BREAKFAST SERVED ALL DAY. Yes this did not disappoint. From burgers to breakfast to seafood to a big ole steak. America Classic has the classic down.

Friendly staff. I had hot Turkey sandwich and it's definitely one of the best I've ever had. Turkey was deli sliced (not thick and dry like many other places). Lunch price was very reasonable.

It is good food, but the prices are too high if you ask me

Such a wonderful experience!! Everytime I go i love it but today's experience surpassed them all. I didn't catch the guys name but the superviser not only seated us, got our drinks, took our order and cooked our food but then came out to check on us and see how it was!!! Great job!!!

I adore this restaurant. The food is delicious and breakfast is awesome I definitely recommend the pancakes they are the best I've ever had! The staff is great always friendly and as for the review complaining about the waitress Latasha, we've had her as a server several times and she is always amazing and friendly and knowledgeable.

Have been there in years went there today with my wife and son, I had buisket and gravy eggs and hashbrowns talk about yummy. Only paid $26 for all 3 of us to eat there. I will be back

We went to go eat there tonight for supper and my son ordered fish. It was cooked well and he enjoyed it.the other meals where great also.. latasha was our cook and very nice lady. Alyssa was our waitress and she kept coming back asking if we was enjoying our meal and asked us everytime if we needed anything. Very nice family orrianted place and I would go back ...

Yum, yum, yum! Great food and always friendly staff. Great environment. Weather your staying for just a cup of coffee or bringing the whole family down, they make you feel at home!

Slow service ... server seemed to have mind in other places .. fish was cold ... hot beef was a little better than room temp... seemed that the microwave might be used alot

The food is outstanding. My favorite place to get breakfast all day. Nice waitstaff and a very down to earth atmosphere.

Server was phenomenal. Kind, courteous and very helpful. My family and I went for supper and it was a very delightful experience. I had the philly burger and fries. It was amazing. Will go back over and over again.

The food came out lukewarm. The waitress said the older afternoon cook didn't seem to care anymore about cooking. Morning cook was a lot better.

Well I wasn't to sure about this place when we decided to try it but ut was close to the hotel and we were hungry. Everyone was really hapoy with thier orders I had a cheeseburger soup and thought I would get some leftovers but to my dismay everyone ate everything. The wait staff were pretty fast and attentive. My soup was awesome.

The food was delicious, got several things but there pancakes and hash Browns stand out. Lovely little dinner with good food, the wait staff kept out of sight and could use more refills but I'd still recommend.

went to eat Saturday and once again I'm reminded why I do not go there anymore. I cant speak for breakfast as it has been awhile since I've gone but for dinner - I would be cautious our waitress(Latasha?) spilled tartar on us, the fish that was ordered was not done by any means, my daughters corn dog bites were greasy and the hotdogs inside were gray and a burger was over done. this place used to be the spot now I even hate driving by.

Our waitress took our order and when someone ordered a soda not on the menu, the closest match was made. For instance someone ordered a Dr. Pepper and received Mr. Pibb. Totally unacceptable. Wish the choice was offered at the time. Also had a disturbing visit with the dishwasher, he asked all children's ages if they were female.

One person working the front and one in the kitchen on a Sat afternoon was not enough. Took forever to get seated and even longer to get our food. The bacon was burnt. Seriously why would you murder bacon? The cod and frys were grease soaked from the fryer not being hot enough. Maybe breakfast is the way to go here according to reviews.

The portion sizes were awesome, atmosphere was quaint, service was great, and prices were reasonable.

Food was raw when took bite out of it. I wanted it replaced all they did was take the burger and put it back on the grill with condiments being grilled to ut and was still raw when returned to my table. Will not visit there again. Need to retrain people on food safety.

PANCAKES! The saying is that you don't know what you have until it's gone is true here. We moved recently and we can't find anyone in our new town with pancakes as good as American Classic. We bought the house mix to take with us but I still can't make them as big and fluffy and evenly cooked (seriously, I think I need a bigger skillet).

Good food. I recommend their Hawaiian burger or cheeseburger soup!
