France is a wonderful place. The last time I was in Paris was about 10 years ago. The city made an indelible impression on me !! I really want to visit French overseas territories such as Reunion Island and French Polynesia.

It has been more than a month since I sent at least 3 emails. No response ... Not even an acknowledgment. I've been calling them every day for a week now, no one answers. Neither service for the Russians nor service for the French. Is this normal? I can't find it at all. It is total irresponsibility and incompetence!

Access is elsewhere. The architecture of the consulate and the embassy are much less photogenic.

The lady who communicates for Visa was very rude, very unpleasant, aggressive, she refused the visa application because it was bad moods and all for no reason. Ashamed!

At the entrance, the security guards and security people (Russians) treat people like intruders, nonsense (which is "normal" in Russia and the Russians are used to being treated like this by people who, in fact, have no power, but who believe themselves important). Except that when you are French and you come to an appointment at the consulate of your country, you expect rather a welcome to the European (at least friendly and polite, with hello and thank you) and not to be attacked from the gate by the security guard and thereafter by the porter supposed to deliver the badges. A shame. To know, that it is our taxes which are used to pay their wages !!!

As always, everything is very polite. Help, prompt, explain.

I recommend changing the female operator, who begins to be rude when she has not even had time to say a word. If she's so unhappy with her job, the others don't need to know about it.

Write an email to ask questions? Impossible. I am answered literally: "The new France-visa portal will help you to define if you need a visa, and if so, what kind of visa is suitable according to your situation.You could find all the necessary information"


Example: It is written in black and white that Russian people can apply for a "Vacancy-Work" visa for 4 months which can last up to 1 year if the person finds a job. (black on white I tell you). However to apply for this visa, you have to buy a plane ticket back after 4 months! Why is ticket purchase mandatory if the visa can last up to 1 year? No answer other than "Our site is great, look for yourself" will not be given to me.

Finally, after sending a new email stating all my questions and asking for an appointment, no response will be given to me except for "Hello,

The Visa Department does not make appointments.

Really, I am French and live in Moscow for months. I could neither call nor see, nor discuss with a single Frenchman. No one to help me with anything.
Only a voicemail to greet me and tell me about opening hours (For what reason? Because when I come, only the gendarmerie welcomes me to say "You will not see anyone, I guarantee it") and other things.

Really, do not expect anything from these people, except to change your identity card or whatever.
