My father was serving his SHN at Amara Hotel. So there were times where I will go and deliver food for him because the food that was served was so bad, even market food taste so much better. During the times, where I went and delivered the food at the hotel, the hotel receptionist wasn t welcoming and was pretty rude to us, making us feel like as though we went there to rob their hotel or even harm them. Overall, never gonna go and stay there. Food was bad. Hotel receptionist was not welcoming. Refrigerator wasn t cold. Not prepared to served the people at all (the room wasn t ready, fridge was unplugged, room was not cleaned). I would love to give it a -1 star or 0 stars.

Very poor....worst hotel ever pls If anyone want to book hotel pls book another hotel dont book this hotel then you regret to the core....everything u need to pay money all expensive and they treat they customers like school children and everyday they Complain if anyone select this hotel u can't sleep here peaceful.....very dirty hotel too...I attached pic here also go see my uploads....better book normal hotel 4star not worthy.....not worth for 1star also

During this Covid19 the hotel provides a good thermometer scanning. At the reception counter, the staff has prepared for my check-in documents. Fast check-in today around 15mins. Last but not least they upgrade my room with no extra charges.

Great location. Convenient for transportation, sight seeing, shopping and foods (plenty of good food chains, includes restaurant and hawker centre) all within walking distance.
Excellent for visitors as well as staycation too.

Great Job Amara Singapore, on hiring a fabulous team of staff that treats their customer satisfaction very important. Staff exhibited fantastic customer service and hospitality... 5 stars entirely for the staff.

Our experience:
similar to many hotel stays where some form of disaster is expected, there was a little crisis during our stay. However, their problem management style and taking ownership of the problem was astonishing...
Well lead team of friendly and efficient staff in their concierge, front desk and even restaurant teams.
Names Worth Mention: Mr Thomas (manager), Mr Raymond (concierge), Ms Siti (front desk), Ms Margaret (restaurant) & Ms Aileen (restaurant).

Will definitely return to stay...

Great stay during the Covid-19 period. Many Mcdonald's staff were housed here too. Got upgraded to Club Room and extended our check out to 2pm. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Room were quite clean and spacious. Only issue was the faulty room card issued. Had problems opening the door multiple times.

Amara told me to email them at the address given, no reply even after 1 week. Really bad customer service

Booked Amara as there were good reviews about the hotel. However, the experience was disappointing.

1) The bed frame had a missing leg, causing the whole bed to be shaky.

2) The bathtub was also rusted, with a dirty drainage hole that was supposed to prevent overflow.

3) The sofa seat was also visibly dirty and freshly stained.

4) Furthermore, a house keeping staff entered the room at around 7.15am, while I was still asleep, claiming that the room has been listed as "checked out".

Written into Amara TWICE regarding the above but recieved no response at all.

Will NEVER return to Amara. Will definitely not recommend Amara as well.

Not a 5 star hotel in terms of facilities but definitely one with a 6 star service. Hardly come across any hotels here in Singapore that engages the staff like they do at Amara. Raymond did a great job putting the heart in hospitality as he remembers and engaged with every single guests that he comes across. Saw him making balloon art for kids, making recommendations for eateries nearby, reminding guest to book their slots for the pool and gym. Staff are welcoming and helpful. I must say I'm thorough impressed. The rooms are huge though slightly dated. Still very comfortable nevertheless. The televisions need a bit of upgrade though. However, that is all negated by the thoughtfulness of the service as we forgot to remove our DND, the hotel made sure they deliver bottled water in the evening to make sure we have something to drink. Rarity these days. Kudos to the team!
