Just got a 8112 utility trailer, it's a great trailer. Easy to load and light. It pulls awesome. The tie downs are easy to get to, ramp goes down easy and doesn't squeak at all. This is my 3 Aluma and will continue to to buy more. Thank you Aluma.

Have zero confidence in Aluma products..if I could leave a zero I would! .purchased my second Aluma trailer (2015 3 place double axle) from M & G trailers as an upgrade to my 2001 2 place Aluma trailer. It is now 2019 and the dealer tells me it s normal for the 2015 model year trailer deck to be garbage and an axle to bend..said all it takes is a small pothole to bend an axle...they called factory, won t cover anything...so, it s getting fixed and sold and I m telling everyone I know to not buy their garbage...
Update- Aluma followed through with contacting me and fixing the problems with the trailer under warranty...not sure who was or wasn t telling me the truth at the dealer upon initially taking it in with the issues..happy to have it fixed but still a little leery as zero would have been done without this review...
I spend my days working with aluminum. I bought one of their flatbeds for a work truck sight unseen. Mistake! The cuts all look like they were gnawed off by a sabre tooth tiger, nothing was deburred so there are razor sharp edges all over. Then I called and asked what they use as a spacer to get over the hump in the frame.... the guy says a 2x4... just a chunk of 2x4.... pressure treated is better he says... come on....
Purchased a AE716TAM enclosed trailer last year and I love it. I haul ATVs, occasionally my Harley and other things. Solid, light and pulls so nice. I love it so much I may even make a few mods and use it as a toy hauler/camper.
I purchased a 7712HSLR from aluma. I ordered it with several options and had to wait for it to be built. When it arrived from factory it was missing the stabilizers that I ordered and the spare tire was bolted on so tight that it was warping the tire. I had to work with the local dealer to resolve these issues. It took aluma 4 different shipments to finally get me all the right parts and pieces. They make nice trailers but seem to have a hard time with communication and attention to detail. I am pleased with the trailer now that everything is fixed, but was on the fence about keeping it after initial receipt. Thanks to the local dealer for helping me fix everything and convincing me to keep the trailer.
Awesome quality and excellent workmanship!! One of the nicest trailers I ve ever owned. 8113sr. Versatile and heavy enough for most jobs. Employees are hard working and dedicated. Thanks Aluma!!
So far so good. I purchased an aluma 6812 from the trailer depot in 2015 to serve as the foundation for a custom camper build. I wanted a cargo trailer so I could remove the camper box and use the trailer as needed. My finished camper box was going to weigh in at around 2400lbs so the salesman recommended the 6812 which has a cargo load of 2920 lbs and can be configured with electric brakes from the factory. I liked it because it was not too wide and had a 3500 lb axle. Over the next 3 years I built the camper. Came out perfect. Finished camper weights came in just about dead on. Fully loaded it is 2640 lbs (camper box + trailer) on the 3500lb axle and 300 to 325 lbs on the tongue. The directions state 6% to 10% on the tongue (once again, load + trailer). The total gvw of the trailer is 3500lbs loaded so that means there should be 210 to 350lbs on the tongue, so I was dead on on the tongue load and it tracks nice and straight even in the wind. So I m well within the weight limits of the trailer at around 80% of the cargo capacity fully loaded. Click the link below for some picts. Since the camper has been complete the trailer has seen over 30,000 miles all over the country. Wonderful adventures. I even had a chance to visit the factory. I ve had a couple challenges but Steve in engineering has been great at advising me. First repair I had the dealer do. And aluma paid them directly. But the dealer is 2 hours away. So second repair they allowed me to have done locally in western Mass and aluma reimbursed me once I sent them the invoice. They definitely stand by their warranty that s for sure. Jim in the warranty department has been wonderful. Hopefully the repairs are behind me and the trailer will be with me for many more years to come. I still have one more year on the warranty and probably another 10,000 miles before it ends. So it s nice to know if I have any other challenges in the next year they will be taken care of. Obviously challenges are always inconvenient. But they happen and overall things have been good.
I've owned an Aluma tilt car trailer since 2017. I had some issues with the trailer, and even OUT OF WARRANTY, The Aluma KLM people took care of the problem, no questions asked!!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company !! THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT 100 %!!! This is the best, most convenient trailer I've ever owned!!
