My husband and I attended a private showing of "It's a Wonderful Life ". I have never been to the Niles Theater before. Didn't know what to expect as it's very old but was pleasantly surprised. It was in good shape and we enjoyed seeing the classic film on the big screen and in color.
Puts on great plays and movies! The volunteers are amazing, so go support the Niles Theatre!!!

Great family filled atmosphere movie theater. It has recently been updated and it looks fantastic. Huge choice of concessions from popcorn, to pizza, to candy. The theater also does 3D which you wouldn't have suspected just driving by and it being a small town theater. Staff and helpers are awesome. You can rent the theater for special occasions. Give her a try movies are only played on Friday
We had a great time. The prices were reasonable. The sound system is great. The staff worked hard to satisfy us. The popcorn was really good and the bucket was full. The seats were comfortable, but the movie was exciting and so we didn't even appreciate them. We had a very enjoyable evening.
I had a wonderful time on July 4, 2019, watching Alladin. First time going to Niles Theater, I will be going weekly to see the movie of the week. Every Wednesday the movie changes. There is one showing W-Sat at 7:30 p.m., then on Sunday's the movie starts at 3:00 P.M. The Niles Theater is run on donations & us goings to the movies.
Took girls to see a movie and some employee that works there come up to us and told us that if we didn't keep it down we would get kick out. And we went even bing loud we kept it to a whisper the movie is so loud anyway how can you hear any thing so I don't like to go out and spend money and be accused of something we are not doing but you can definitely hear her messing around he boytoy if you know what I mean I will not go back there Cinemax is way better and you don't get accused
Thank you for being so affordable. No where else in the state can I afford to take all my kids to the movies on a regular basis You guys rock!
This theatre is a one screen theatre, very clean and nice for Alturas. The price for admission is very reasonable and the snacks and beverages are also fair priced. The seating is ample, but dated. The sound system is great and over all experience is good. I like this small town theatre, better than a lot of others. The only gripe is the movies shown are about two weeks to a month later than actual movie release, excellent for a date though.
One screen, local theater offering new release movies. Comfortable seats and not overly crowded. The sound is always a bit too loud but otherwise it's great!
