You know you really enjoyed an experience at a location when you wake up the next day and want to write a positive yelp review. I went to The Reserve last night for their Halloween party and from start to finish had a perfect time! I hope their reviews reflect that and would be wary of negative experiences where it is personal attacks.
A great bar! The views were amazing and we went at happy hour and they had decent drink prices. We were able to keep warm by sitting near the fire pit.
Nice place. Wish DJ Played better music. It was dead for a Friday night.
Not really a club...more like a bar you get a mix of people from LA-OC-SD and east coast ..drinks are made strong but the price for a drink its high at 14 bucks a pop ...but no cover charge ..awesome views and djs and good music ...worth checking out
Great views of the stadium and downtown San Diego. Good for happy hour.
Give it up for the Royal Air Force, we love it here and San Diego!
Amazing view and atmosphere. Attentive staff and fast bartenders. .. loved my first experience. The only downfall is can vs bottle beer :(. Not the same from a can...
I loved the view and the patrons were very relaxed and easy going. Drink prices were reasonable and about normal for the area.
Just amazing view of the bay and even better with a chilled glass of fizz watching the sun go down! Also nice crowd on weekends with great chill music!
You must come here to watch sunset! Drinks are understandably a little pricey.
Awesome roof top bar. Nice views of the city. Good drinks.
I love altitude and recomend it to everyone. Cant beat the views and vibes. Robert in security is the best. Professional and competent. Really made the experience awesome.
One of the coolest spots downtown. Go here when the Padres are playing a night game.
Fun place, strong drinks, beautiful view. Heat lamps outside for cold weather.
What a fun place to go with friends! A little expensive, and a little crowded, but an experience that's truly unique!
Terrible service!!!! We ordered wine and after about 10 minutes my friend got really sick. I am talking about very unusually sick, bad quality stuff they pour out there. Stay away from it. Place not even worth to try! Good job, manager Collin and bartender Jay, you both suck at your job!
I heard about this place from my brother. Super cool place. The lounge is on the 22nd floor of a hotel. There was no cover charge, which is amazing considering it is a rooftop bar. You can see Petco Park and the Coronado Bridge from the lounge, as well as a lot of city lights. I highly recommend people to visit this bar!
Excellent atmosphere and great views of the City, drinks a little expensive but worth it. The line to get is slow, but worth the wait.
The view is great over downtown SD just don't come here on the weekend because people are annoying and drunk by 10pm. Which I would expect at a club not a nice lounge.
It was dead. But would be great if a baseball game was going on. Lol
Nice on a sunny day... Drink selection is mainstream... But 8.50 for a beer...nah...
DO NOT PLAN AN EVENT HERE!!! I have done events at several different bars and this was the absolute WORST experience. I was very sad because the location itself was amazing but I will never go back and my guests all felt the same. I planned my birthday party here and it started a few weeks prior to my event when some bar manager Brandon quoted me $5000 LESS than what the rate really was for my party. AFTER i booked, I received an email from another manager Kenley saying "oops" and they couldn't accommodate me unless I paid $5000.00 more. After trying to work with me (which they didn't offer me anything other than booking something at the same rate any one else would get) we got there and the waitress allowed us to choose the VIP section we wanted. Until Kenley came and kicked us out of that section VERY RUDELY instead of telling us there was ANOTHER mistake. He was EXTREMELY rude to us the entire time from the moment we got there and the way he spoke to the waitresses made me feel awful for them! Then we had strangers sitting in our section, which we kept asking them to leave. Next thing you know we have 4 bouncers and that same manager yelling in my guests face and accusing us of bringing in a bottle of crown royal WHEN WE HAD AN OPEN $800 BAR TAB clearly paying for drinks and not one of us in the party was drinking crown royal!!! It was completely humiliating! One of my guests had to take the blame for it and leave just so my party didn't get kicked out. I will never step foot back there again. The staff needs to learn how to treat people and get rid of the power trip!!!!!
Nice roof-top bar in gaslamp area. Music system could use a little more bass but for no cover charge, can't really complain.
Great views ( in the nearby stadium) . Cocktails are ok but nothing special
Awful Mojito... Try YouTube to learn how to do it or maybe do some training!
Limited and expensive selection but great views of the city and Petco Park.
Cool location overlooking petco park. drinks are not too overpriced.
Definitely amazing views and great location to enjoy a drink and hangout. I was expecting it to be more entertaining with DJ, music etc which there was music and a DJ seamed to be getting set up for a way later time. I think it would be good to have music and the DJ since earlier in the night not just in the late hours. When we arrived was not very crowded roughly about 8 pm we found seating right against the edge facing the water front and the bar was fast and efficient. Would give it another try next time I'm in the area
Agreeing here with the other reviews. I'm
Not sure how this is supposed to be one of the best bars in San Diego. Very little bar space with few bartenders. Also overcrowded, views ok.
Fantastic views and chill vibe w/ 11$ plastic cup pours from 8$ bottles of wines.
What wonderful deviled eggs! The bartenders are fantastic and happy hour has great vibes.
We came here after a night out and the vibe was nice, but it wasn't memorable. The views were good and there's a fireplace as well that's a nice touch. There's also kind of a makeshift dance floor in the middle. We came here after dinner nearby and had a decent time. The best part about this lounge and its location. It's a nice way to cap off the night.
Received two different pours on the same drink (old fashioned) And the one with less was pretty much all bitters.
This place has a great views and excellent location, and great fast service from the bar. Absolutely loved it
Enjoy the summer here at the top of the Marriott roof top bar #1 so beautiful up here!
Great music and atmosphere. Beautiful views, great drink prices. It was pretty cold but they had plenty of heaters available. Great way to celebrate a milestone birthday.
They made our 25 the Anniversary the best time ever. Food was excellent, staff was wonderful and catered to our every need. The best part of the evening was when the piano man played a beautiful song called More by Frank Sinatra that brought tears to our eyes for our very special night. Thank You to everyone for making our evening awesome
Great views, great drinks at reasonable prices and a friendly wait staff...what more could you ask for?
Fun place for event, music and drinks were hopping.
If you're visiting San Diego & you're looking for a good spot for drinks & a view, this is the place. Definitely the spot to be for a sneak peek at a Padres game or concert. Fabulous view!
Get here for happy hour. Come for a drink and catch the amazing views!
Exciting roof top bar/night club, where you can see the beautiful city and ocean. Super trendy, dress nice lots of singles hanging out having a good time!
Clean area. Beautiful view of the surrounding area. Drinks are pretty pricey compared to surrounding areas. I guess it's not like it use to be. Great music from the DJ. At least I can vape here since it's open.
Location is pretty cool being above Petco Field. When we went, the season was over, so no games. Good views of the ocean and other parts of San Diego. The bar itself was so-so. No good wine choices and it was pretty dark. Bartender had a little attitude.
Service is always super even when they have a full house. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. The place has a good feel to it.
Great view of Petco Park and views of the city. Be prepared to spend extra for the view and to drink out of plastic cups.
If you haven't been you seriously need to go and checkout this place. It's crazy cool and has amazing views. It can get a little busy and crowded which is annoying but with a place like this it is expected.
Great views and cool setting. Bartender did not seem to want our business and was a little rude.
Great views but unfortunately that is where the accolades stop. Drinks were poor and atmosphere trends towards touristy and 20-something looking for hook-ups. Was expecting a more chic and stylish cocktail bar but his place misses the mark. When the bartender asked me if I wanted my negroni on the rocks, I knew we were on trouble!
Sat and had lunch at the little cabana bar by the pool area. We had a server named Gladys and she was awesome!! Great personality and she recommended the best drinks. Definitely will be coming back in the future.
Best view in San Diego. Drinks are well priced and good too.
My favorite roof top bar, super mellow though, I wish they had a designated dance floor... so much cooler if they did. Big rooftop, plenty of seatings and good view of SD bay and even the stadium.
Amazing view of San Diego and harbor. Its nice in the evening when they have heaters around. Good place to hangout.
I agree with the last reviewer--we also went there because this bar is supposed to have a great view of the sunset but you couldn't actually see the sun set from the lounge. Also, the drinks are way overpriced. I still gave it 3 stars because the view is still really nice and I liked the fire pit.
Wasn't as impressed as the Lafayette location. Seems like the burgers have gotten smaller and the special toppings on each aren't as extravagant. Was left with a plain burger, and although it was good, it was just a burger. All 4 of us weren't super impressed after hyping it up from the previous time I had it over a year ago. The fry-feccta was very good, the zucchini ribbons were amazing.
Great location to watch games, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
My #1 spot to take out of town guests. Best view in San Diego.
What makes this place is the panoramic views of both downtown San Diego and the Bay. While there isn't always seating available, you can usually find a spot to set your drink down and rest your arms while you are amazed at the view. If you are looking for a spot to take in the awesome sights of San Diego and want to grab a drink, make sure that you head up to Altitude. This is also a great place to take out of town guests to get that perfect picture atop the world. While you would think they have a dress code, they do not and don't feel intimidated by those who are dressed to impress, you can still go up and take in the views and grab a drink.
Bar with the best views in San Diego. No cover and relaxed vibes.
22 stories up and a great view from here into Petco Park so you can watch a baseball game. Good drinks. Turns into a lounge/nightclub on Fridays and Saturdays. Sometimes (if you get there after 10pm) on Friday/Saturday, there is a line to get in that could take between 30-40 mins. New back patio section room provides another view of San Diego opposite the ballpark side.
Come here for the view! Absolutely great. There's great music and some good drinks
What a cool place, friendly staff and fun vibe. For starters tried the baobab Gambas- delicious. For main tried the ceebu Jen and the seafood coco. The first was amazing the seafood coco was a little too sweet of coconut for my taste but still good. A fun and lively experience. Would def come back!
If you're a foreigner traveling with a Federal ID, they won't let you in. They want a state ID. Wanted to take some friends and they wouldn't accept their federal ID's only the passport book, though you can't get a visa if you don't have a book and the visa also reflects the Birthday.
For the most part a great bar. Altitude has an amazing view of downtown San Diego right by Petco Park. The drinks were amazing, but they did require all guests to purchase food if you wanted a drink. Security was pretty rude but the other employees including our server were pretty good. Nice place!
This was a great location with amazing views! It would be great to be up here while a baseball game was on as you look straight down on Petco Park!
One of the best roof top bars in California. Not just in San Diego. Very unique.
Pretty School spot to visit during a baseball game. You can see into the park and get a feel for some of the action and energy. Be warned there is not a lot of shade up there. As intense as a sun can be, it would be nice if they had some umbrellas or awnings or some kind of places to get a little bit of relief from the Sun beating down on you relentlessly.
Great for an after-work happy hour scene. I hear it s great for baseball games also. The mojito s are one of San Diego s best. Also, The Vodka Martini s are to die for.
Amazing view of the entire city, great atmosphere and drinks
Dom was very professional and a really cool dude ..thank you for the great service I'll definitely be back and bring all my friends and family
We went on a gloomy day, but the view into Petco was pretty cool. Solid music
When the weather is nice, you can see a beautiful economy. The sky lounge has a direct elevator, so the night view is recommended!
Such a nice place to get a drink. Obviously the main reason people come here is for the view. Just don't forget that there are a couple of locations to get your drinks at, so waiting in the first line you see isn't necessary. Also, it's a good idea to get your pictures at the start if you want any. Once you move away from the ledge someone else will take your spot quickly.
