Alpine has some of the worst customer-facing staff I have ever encountered. Calling their tech support line is a joke, as the techs are incompetent and useless, and the customer service line is just as bad. Was provided completely contradictory information about the same issue by 2 different techs, and told by four different reps, over 4 different phone calls with customer service, that I would receive a call back, yet not a single follow up call resulted. Clearly, Alpine is investing little to nothing in quality hiring and properly training customer-facing staff. Very disappointing.

Even though the performance of Apline products is usually ok to good, There are a lot of other companies that have equal or better products. The reason I give Alpine 2 stars is because of their lack of
quality control AND documentation control. My head unit came with programming instructions that did not work. I scoured the internet and tried programming instructions for other models until I found one that worked. (NOT GOOD!)
I also was in need for an owner's manual for an older alarm system and noticed that whole tribes of other people are looking unsuccessfully for the same thing. So tech support is also nonexistent. I think I'll take one more star away.
