Alpert jewish family & children's service Review

I gave my credit card information to Alpert Jewish Family Services for a one time charge. They kept my credit card information on file. I never agreed to that. And when my daughter missed an appointment they charged me. I complained to the therapist. Then my daughter missed another appointment. I specifically told them not to use my card again. That we would need to make payment arrangements. Then Jean from account receivables incessantly called me while I was at work. I was not able to take her call. I'm a nurse and cannot answer calls while I m with patients. I tried calling her back the next day. However she did not leave a message with her name or extension. So when I called the receptionist did not seem to know who to transfer me to. I did not think this is such a big company with so many accounts receivable departments. I said it was regarding money owed. So I figured she would call again since she called me so many times in one day. She did not. Then my account got charged. This is illegal people. I never gave them permission to keep my card information on file in the first place. And I specifically said not to charge after the first illegal charge. When I spoke to Jean today she admitted she knew I specifically said not to charge my card but that she did it because I didn t call her back!!!!! Is this for real????

Would give 0 stars if I could. Whoever answers the phone here is extremely rude and impatient. For an office that is dealing with therapy you would think the person answering the phone would be nicer. Highly disappointed I will not be making an appointment here.

Unfortunately while working with them I ve experienced a very nasty/indifferent attitude.

A wonderful charity for those in need of counseling and even, under many circumstances, food. Also helps the disabled with housing and provides some help to Seniors and others in dire need.

The staff associated with this organization are nice and professional.
However, if you have more than one insurance company you need for them to bill, they will not bill them, even if it's Medicare. I was told it's their policy NOT to bill a secondary insurance. So I now have over $240 I have been unable to recover from my secondary insurance due to their "POLICY".

They are always forgetting things. I told Doctor Thompson I would like to speak with a therapist, and he told me he would have somebody give me a call to set up an appointment. That never happened. Doctor Thompson lost my blood tests multiple times, and had me retake them many times. They don't refill my prescriptions in a timely manner. I have to remind them several times. They are inefficient and incompetent. I suggest you look elsewhere for treatment. I will be, as well.

This Nancy women called us offering to help after a month all she does is call and keep asking the same question How much money do you have why are you broke whats going to happen next month Are you kidden me What a disgusting way to talk to a senior citizen on the phone

as far as her attitude 1 star this post if for others seeking help i dont trust this women be advised she is not 100 pct honest

The services provided by Alpert Jewish Family & Children's Services are astounding in scope and that is why it is so impressive to see how well the agency works for the betterment of its clients and the community. The ethic and energy is evident upon first contact. The people at Alpert are just fantastic and the professionalism starts at the top. I am so glad to have Alpert Jewish Family and Children's Services in my community as a resource for my family and for my Elder Law clients. I highly recommend the agency's counseling, care management, support groups and other services.

VERY BAD PEOPLE!!! I want to elaborate with my wifes last post. The story is very sad and true. The director Pam Wiener is a very horrible person. She has destroyed lives and families with no remorse or hesitation. I exhausted all my resources to gain communication thru her about my father and was ignored. Please if you love your family stay away from these sharks!
