Location is excellent, as Wakefield is a tiny town. The rooms are nice as newer owners have done much needed renovations in recent years. Rates are a tad high for my liking. The closing of the office and restaurant are big negatives. You won't always catch someone around to checkin or handle any inquiries, and the restaurant used to offer the best breakfast in town! Nothing fancy or complicated. All in all, a fine place to stay.
Musty odour, very damp, dated, and dirty room...but you get what you pay for.
Very nice and clean room with a rustic feel. Fireplace is lovely and it was very quiet. Manager was professional and friendly. Price was a bit steep for the location but would stay again if I needed a hotel in that area.
A great place to stay in the heart of Wakefield village. An older but well-constructed building constructed by European craftsmen in the Tyrolean style. Lovely porches on the second floor, set well back from the road and away from traffic. Near the river, general store, Turntable Park and Vorlage ski hill, all at reasonable cost.
Disaster stay away as got sick from an untreated n undercooked Yeager schnitzel meal that was on special but was tough like a cats tail....other food was ok....but not like from the old Austrian Chef! Will miss the old managment....only 2 star can be supplied !
Cozy and affordable. Not the nicest place I've ever seen but also definitely not the worst either. Serves it's purpose.
It was a very cozy room, with a nice fireplace. The whole building was full of character. Mattress could have been more comfortable, but I've slept in worse conditions.
The restaurant has good food (both breakfast and dinner) and is well priced. The motel room was clean and also well priced. Great service, very friendly. Great location; close to Ottawa and all the ski hills. It`s like having a nice winter vacation without having to travel far and spend a lot of money.
The picture on the Google is nothing like the actual hotel. The restaurant in the picture is closed and run down. A bit of a mess
Super yummy breakfast! The Lumberjack = 3 eggs + 3 meats (ham, bacon, sausages) homefries with home made brown bread, toasted with raspberry jam! Down it all with a coffee to boot! A great start to any day! The rooms are clean and cozy, and as well the beds are comfortable.
