Allen County Parks Review

Very enjoyable for the whole family.
My 4 year old and 4 month old had a blast and we got to learn new facts with the plaques scattered all over the trail.

Beautiful scenery and trails to walk! Close to the river. Nice swimming area and can fish on the opposite side. Just make sure you spray yourself down with OFF during your hike, mosquitoes! We had a great time!

go every year for 4th of July. All the time, my brother, cousins always swim. Last year I found an english 50 pence coin in the pond!!!!!!!! Pretty cool. Nice place. Still want to do the trails and see the creek!!!

The wildflowers are in bloom. The trails are easy to walk. Even saw a wild turkey.

Good place for picnics, walks, and short easy hikes. Land/trails are a bit smaller than they look on the map, but still nice. There's a pretty pond (though I wouldn't recommend swimming) and dogs are allowed on-leash.

This place is beautiful! The cost to enter is $2 per person. Has a few trails that are great for hiking. There is easy to understand maps that you can pick up at the nature center and the trails are very clearly marked. In the warmer months there's even a little lake/pond that's open for swimming. Make sure to pay attention to the weather, if it has rained recently the trails will be muddy!

This is a great little county park. Mostly flat elevation with nice wide flat trails. Wide enough to walk next to each other. There is a trail by a river that is very scenic. Not a massively large Park but lots of interconnecting trails to provide mileage. Great for an afternoon.

I love Metea County Park. I have photographed two weddings here and the Nature Preserve Building is a great place to have a wedding and reception. The staff are all so friendly and the scenery is beautiful for portraits.
