My friend bought me a drink and had paid for it but I hadn't received it only to realise it was further down the bar, no comunication and very abrupt bar staff. Short blonde hair woman didn't get her name, sorry her hair was tied up and slicked back.
Came here on a saturday for lunch. Place was busy but we managed to find a table. Nice environment, and service was ok. Food quality slightly below average. Buffalo wings tasted pre-cooked and heated on the day, wasn't crispy or appetising.

Sad to say not the allards of old. Cod bites undercooked, wedges overcooked, lattes ordered but capachino served. Condiments handled by staff not wearing gloves, I m afraid 2 customers lost.

It is what it is. Had breakfast which was okay but not wowed. Gave 4 as I've eaten here before and it was good.

Very interesting building and decor. Which is more than can be said for some of the food and drink.. My fellow diner ordered coke , it tasted of nothing. It was replaced by lemonade which again was tasteless.
They also had pancakes , one had been burnt and placed burnt side down on the plate. My sourdough toast avocado, poached egg and salmon was very nice though.
Lovely place for a midweek lunch but I enjoyed the Tapas style lunch.

Nice venue that allows dogs but too rigid on their menu 5mins over breakfast finish time when all you want is a bacon sandwich they refused to make one. Poor customer care
Great place and we will be back. Salt and pepper chicken is very good but the squid needs a kick to it. Otherwise a great evening with friends.
Nice selection of gluten free tapas but need more gluten free/vegan . Great staff !
One of our party is vegan, all she could eat was 2 portions of sweet potato fries! this was the fish quay establishment we visited, but I'm assuming the Tynemouth branch has the same menu. Well done Allards.
Took mother for Tapas after a shopping trip on Saturday. She had her favourite prawn cocktail which she said was one of the best ever, also macaroni cheese which was delicious. She will definately be back again was her comment to the lovely staff when we left. The only down side was that it was very cold as door kept blowing open in the wind.
We had to wait an hour for our food after ordering. The lemonade tasted like sparkling water but undrinkable. Poor service, disappointing food. Won't be returning.

Stop serving food mid-morning! Called in at 11:35 on a saturday morning... sat down. Walked to bar to ask for a menu as now menus on tables (stood for a little while being ignored) to be told food is finished now until 12:30... no v good at all! *UPDATE* MENU STATES ORDERS IN BY 11:45. Obvs just couldn't be bothered I suppose.
It's a lovely place especially when you can take you dog in with you the foods is absolutely delicious

We sat for 20 plus minutes on the terrace no service they came out and cleaned tables which were wet with rain but ignored us sitting in the corner but was after 5pm town pretty shut down
Great place for a casual meal and drinks. Dog friendly one side of the premises so if you don't like dogs you don't have to sit near them but I've you've got one you are welcomed.

First time I've been in since the first few weeks after it opened. Lovely opulent interior, good coffee without being too strong, and the raspberry and white chocolate went well with it. Pleasant staff. Only 4 stars? I battled with the heat inside (rainy but warm day) On another such day, I would think to sit under their wide awning outside and watch the world squelch by... Well worth a visit

Me and my girlfriend went here for our five year anniversary. She got the chicken burrito and I had seafood paella. Would definitely recommend!!
Went for a birthday afternoon meal, quite a few of us with 2 children, nothing was a problem, lovely food great drink, excellent service by the staff.
Only had a burger but everything was homemade and tasted pretty good! However... Main thing? Didn't realize it was super dog friendly, but it certainly was very popular for dog walkers in there with 3 out of 4 tables with dogs, which btw is what the other half loved! It's something that has made us want to revisit the place again but with our own dogs next time and wished there was something similar near us in West Yorkshire

Great for breakfast on a sunny morning with outdoor seating to soak up the rays. Take a jacket though, this is the windy north east!
Tasty but stale smell in the air and the music is a put off! Tables too close- keep hearing multiple conversations. Not sure if they have disabled toilets downstairs.
Beautiful food.. And very reasonably priced. Staff very attentive. Wonderful surroundings.
