We chose Aldersgate Retirement Home for many reasons. The Compassionate Staff has been a joy to work with, and they have by far on of the most Beautiful Campus areas anyone could ask for.

The Residents and everyone connected there, seem to be very loving, caring about each other, and this is
what we look forward to.

Regards,

Dan & Ruth Kay

We in Windsor Park would appreciate Aldersgate begin construction of a Shamrock Drive entrance to your farm. You by all means don't lack the funds.
This would be a true celebration by Aldersgate, actually being a good neighbor.

This place came highly recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, they do not return phone calls. I have called and left detailed messages three times on their "confidential" voice mail system. After three attempts to speak with them, I am giving up. I hope this is not indicative of the care they give to their residents, or how they communicate with families.

A family friend was recently discharged from the hospital to a skilled nursing facility. We were given 5 choices. After reviewing these choices we found that only one of the choices had a 5 star rating and the others were all around 1 star. The 5 star facility was Asbury Care Center at Aldersgate. Needless to say that is exactly where my friend went. The entire process was fast, efficient and basically perfect. The entire process from admissions (Lisa), social work (Kristen and Amy), food preparation and nursing (Yvette) was exceptional. My hat is off to the staff at Asbury Care for taking care of business and my friend.

My Grandmother lives here. Since April, the meals have gone downhill. They change the menu quarterly now. She has dietary restrictions and is basically forced to eat the same meal every day and it's horrible. Sadly, she's paid so much of her retirement money she can't move. Don't subject your relatives to the same fate.

If you have a relative here, ask them about the decline in meal service and please post a review. If you're considering moving here, please dine in while you're there and talk to the residents. She used to like it, but the past 8 months have been difficult.

If you have to make the hard decision to place your loved one in a Skilled Nursing Facility or a community that caters to all older adults, this will be an excellent choice. The grounds on this property were so immaculate it was incredible. There was some new construction going on but even that area was tidy and neat. They offer everything from single homes with garages to a secure unit for those who have challenges and need direct supervision. It was very clean and no orders were present which was a pleasant surprise for me. The rooms were nice and spacious with a nice flat screen TV with cable. The amenities were tremendous with a full-scale physical therapy room with a therapy pool included. Which is very convenient for older those that need therapy. This place has a lot to offer for the Aging community. The only thing I notice is at dinner time when I was visiting there were only about 10 residents in the dining hall and several of them had to wait to be fed for over 30 minutes while their food was getting cold. They may need to staff more people at least for dinner time. What the residents were very patient and I guess it's because it had no other choice especially those who need assistance being fed that's the only negative thing I notice on my visit to this beautiful, immaculate living facility for older adults.
