They closed the office with no notice or info on their website. I left work 2 hours early to come sign up for a parking permit. You can see the employees inside, yet they can't help. It is bizarre to me that they have to close to clean the office.
Working with this alderman and her staff has been easily one of the most unprofessional and unsatisfying experiences I've had. Absolutely zero accountability to address and fix issues in the neighborhood. Michelle is quick to send updates on things happening outside her ward but cannot even return a phone call. Time to replace Michelle Smith in the next election.
I called Michele Smith's (9/10) office and the folks I spoke to were very rude, she should think of finding people who know how to talk to people. I voted for Michele and I think I made a mistake. Bad judge of character
No one ever in the office. As our aldermen you'd think she would have given out MASKS with the pandemic. Nothing here. I see what happens when you don't vote. I did vote.
There is a dying tree outside of my apartment. A few months ago, there was a dying tree nearby and destroyed my car. In an abundance of caution due to the upcoming blizzard, I reached out to the Alderman's office & 311 multiple times to bring this issue to their attention. Additionally, I emailed photos of the tree days ago with no response. That said, if your car is hit by a tree and you live off Wrightwood (across from the school), there is a chance I reported the tree days before it hit your car. That said, if your car is destroyed, Chicago is at fault.
As a business owner Alderman Smith s office has always been attentive to our needs in the community. I highly recommend the staff and Alderman Smith.
I came across this alderman & have found her none responsive to violence in the neighborhood. I'm not surprised about her inaction to school kids & since I get her newsletter talking about violence, it creates a feeling of major distrust. I've heard rumors & first-person accounts to it. Not sure where to share, but unless people are vocal about local, state & federal government there can be no positive changes. This is the first review written upon reading others---it literally triggered a memory from 2 years ago. Thank you technology for keeping a record of it & keep speaking on matters that affect our neighborhood.

I have decided to write a review everyday regarding the incompetency and rudeness of this office ! WE ARE HERE TO HELP. Not true. My issue is not being solved and my numerous emails not answered and handled by multiple persons which means nothing gets done !! Confused since they do not seem to work much...
STILL closed to "install Covid safety measures". Other businesses have been open and able to implement safety standards. Very inconvenient!
