Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC) is a government agency that plays a crucial role in the transportation sector of Alameda County, California. The commission was established in 1986 to plan, fund, and deliver transportation programs and projects that enhance mobility and accessibility for residents, businesses, and visitors of the county. One of ACTC's primary responsibilities is to allocate funds from various sources for transportation projects throughout Alameda County. These funds come from federal grants such as Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ), State Transit Assistance (STA), Regional Measure 2 (RM2), Measure BB sales tax revenue approved by voters in 2014. ACTC also manages funding from other sources such as toll revenues collected on Bay Area bridges.

1) East Bay Bus Rapid Transit: A $178 million project funded by Federal Transit Administration grants RM2 sales tax revenue Measure BB sales tax revenue which created dedicated bus lanes along International Boulevard connecting downtown Oakland San Leandro BART stations providing faster more reliable service for riders while reducing greenhouse gas emissions improving air quality.

2) I-580 Express Lanes: A $345 million project funded by RM3 toll revenues CMAQ grants STA funds which added express lanes between Dublin Pleasanton Livermore allowing solo drivers willing pay tolls use carpool lanes during peak hours reducing congestion improving travel times reliability safety.
