My husband and I both took this course and just a few months after graduation, started our new careers in wind energy generation. The instructors at FT. Riley were very knowledgeable and went out of their way to help us get the most out of the course. I was welcomed back a few weeks after graduation to brush up on schematic skills for an upcoming interview. This exemplifies the dedication and commitment that the Air-streams staff has to providing quality education assistance to veterans. The support staff provided stellar service and never hesitated to offer assistance with my resume and job search. As with any course or school, the product you get out of it is directly proportional to the work you put in. I worked hard in the course and it gave me the confidence and skills I needed to start a new career with a fantastic company. I wouldn't be where I am today if I hadn't taken a chance and enrolled in Air streams. Thanks!!

The instructors were very knowledgeable and friendly. They also made the power point presentations significantly more enjoyable to sit through.

My husband attended this place & it was disappointment after disappointment. NOT worth 14k of your G.I bill! The two meals a day that they offer consist of a box of cereal, a gallon of milk & bananas for SIX grown a** men to share for a week, sometimes longer! One of the options for dinner was 2 hot dogs (per person) and a scoop of macaroni! So imagine the other options for the rest of the week... And if that isn't bad enough, I hope you're ready to eat the same thing EVERY week. You end up having to either eat out or buy groceries, which is expensive considering most people are transitioning from the military to civilian life! On the very last day, my husband missed his flight because the lady who drives them to the airport was running late. We had to come out of pocket $500 so that he could catch the next flight home. This WOULD have been fine if they had refunded us the money, but LO AND BEHOLD, the same female that had them running late in the first place is in charge of the finances at Airstreams, and she denied everything! We spoke to her supervisor and all, and have not been refunded! They are inconsiderate and unprofessional! I'm extremely disgusted.

Great school and good instructors, they will help you find a job before you graduate, but some of it depends on you to look out there.

As a past student, and current gainfully employed Wind Turbine Technician thanks to my training at Airstreams Renewables Inc, i'm surprised to see some negative reviews up here, so let me offer my two cents about this fine organization.
First, this is a trade school that's designed to get you out to the field and making money ASAP. That means the learning environment is fast-paced, and focused on learning all the parts and pieces you need in order to be considered for a job in one of several fields.
Second, the instructors here are AMAZING. Patient, helpful, and knowledgeable, these guys have decades of experience (combined, of course!) in the Wind, Solar, and Telecom fields.
Lastly, I understand this school is not for everyone. I know even some of my classmates had a hard time keeping up, but if you don't ask for help, how do you expect to get help??
If you're interested in starting a new career in Wind, Solar, or Telecom, and you'd like to get on the fast track to success, definitely give these folks a call!

Don't buy the hype, great place to learn about climbing and turbines but they will push everyone out. Everyone passes no matter how bad the student is failing and how much that person doesn't know about the job, this is a huge risk if you end up working with anyone that went here. Teachers are great they know their job and do a great job at passing that information along to the class. They front office is not that great, they promise to send job openings to your email until you are hired but stop doing so once you are out of the school. Do yourself a favor and save your money, most companies will train you to do the job.

Every instructor and staff showed an interest and focus into assisting us with learning the skills and doing what they could to ensure every student had a job after the military. Their dedication to our class was very obvious and genuine.

Great overall program, I have wanted to write this review for a while but honestly have been to busy working which is what I imagine a lot of you that are looking into this school want to hear. If you re reading this and are a transitioning servicemember and are worried about what your next step should be don t hesitate to seriously consider airstreams, If you don t mind getting your hands dirty and working long hours this might be the right step for you to get into a industry that s full of work and growth opportunities, I personally chose the telecom side which is where I believe the school could do a little better in getting instructors that have more experience in the field but nonetheless the program did its job, it got my foot in the door. One piece of advice I will give is when they do their little spill about don t spend your short time at airstreams partying please listen, I witnessed quite a few students make mistakes that hendered their hiring process with great companies.

I enjoy getting all the hands on experience and being able to learn things I never would ve without it.

Great program that teaches you the fundamentals and helps you land a good job in the industry. The staff was amazing and the instructors are some of the best I've seen in both the military and civilian world. They practice what they preach and you don't get that feeling that they are only a business. They really do care.
