I'm applying for a job for land surveyors position in this company they've been very courteous to me so far and I would really recommend anybody to work there

AIM Engineering was contracted by the Florida Department transportation to design a shared use pathway to go alongside SR 80 East of I-75 in Fort Myers. A roadway that was established 95 years ago in 1923 and has many existing businesses. A location where the FDOT design handbook states that type of path should not even be considered because of too many driveways. Ironically, the other side of the SR 80 has very few driveways with miles of great pathways that aren't used because of a few unfinished sections.

After several different proposed drawings the latest plans would require us to drive through our block office building to get in and out of their newly proposed driveway opening!

AIM's engineers providing the proposed drawings to FDOT refuse to return our calls or emails as we try to bring the miscalculations to light. It appears as if the FDOT's project manager has not relayed the correct information to AIM Engineering regarding our needs. They allowed us 5' wide parking spaces at first then took them away all together! Then drew our delivery truck 6' more narrow than it really is!

We have worked very hard for several decades to build our businesses all while legally using the right of way as built and approved over 50 years ago. Now we will be out of business because they refuse to leave our driveway a little wider like they have done for other businesses.

Please call your Senators and representatives about this if you agree this is unfair to small businesses.
