In 2008-2009, AFS Finland aided me during my stay abroad as I suffered homesickness, seasonal depression (something new for me), and minor poverty (as I am from a less costly hometown). Ten years later I still feel grateful for the hard work and patience the staff showed me during my awful teen years.
