African Family Health Organization (AFAHO) is a non-profit organization that provides culturally sensitive health, human and educational services to African and Caribbean immigrants and refugees in greater Philadelphia. The organization was founded in 1999 by a group of African women who recognized the need for culturally appropriate health care services for their community.

At AFAHO, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of African and Caribbean immigrants and refugees by providing them with comprehensive healthcare services that are tailored to meet their unique needs.

Our team of highly trained medical professionals includes doctors, nurses, social workers, counselors, interpreters, and other support staff who work together to provide our clients with the best possible care. We offer a wide range of services including primary care, mental health counseling, HIV/AIDS testing and treatment, family planning services, prenatal care for pregnant women as well as education on healthy living practices.
