Has lost its focus. Concentration has shifted from children and adults served to homoginizing the organisation at the expense of identity and enrichment.
I serve on the Board of Directors of this wonderful organization. My daughter volunteered at the program during her college years and my family learned about the good work ACE does to support immigrant and refugee youth, many of whom have not been able to attend school regularly before they came to the United State. Kudos to ACE!
This nonprofit serves African children and families. 90% of those served are refugees. There is an after school program for students from 5th to 1225h grade, a Saturday program the also helps adult and younger children learn English, a liaison to the schools and families and an outreach program. It also celebrates African culture through dance, drumming and art. It is an extremely worthwhile cause and is in need of volunteers for tutoring and donations.
