Africa Express: A Journey Through the Heart of African Music
Africa Express is a unique and innovative music project that has been bringing together musicians from all over the world to collaborate and create new sounds since 2006. Founded by Damon Albarn, the lead singer of Blur and Gorillaz, Africa Express has hosted a series of remarkable adventures with highly inventive shows, acclaimed albums and music trips in Africa.

Together they have created some truly groundbreaking music that has captured the hearts of audiences around the world.
One of Africa Express' most notable achievements was their trip to Mali in 2013 where they recorded an album called "Maison des Jeunes" (House Of Youth) in just one week. The album featured collaborations between Malian musicians such as Adama Koita alongside Western artists like Brian Eno. It was hailed by critics as one of the best albums released that year.
In addition to recording albums together, Africa Express also hosts live shows which are always highly anticipated events. These shows feature an eclectic mix of musicians who come together on stage for an unforgettable performance. Some notable performances include their show at Glastonbury Festival in 2007 where they played for over two hours on the Pyramid Stage.
