I'm a 61 year old male with several health conditions, starting with type 1 diabetes at age 11. I couldn't get a highly recommended colonoscopy because I needed a trustworthy friend or family member to accompany me during the procedure. Which should be the top priority, but this relevant to Affinity?
After explaining my situation to an Affinity staff member, the person who supposed to help me ignored my requests when I had to find another PCP because the practice didn't provide the required information after I explained to them several times. I also explained my predicament, to Kelly but she accused me of being difficult after asking her why she's been ignoring my request for another form to sent to my new PCP. She blatantly told me that she didn't think that I would be a good fit with Affinity.
Her unjustfied perception, lack of empathy, unprofessionalism, and lack of competence is why more people are resorting to unfamiliar means, when it comes to holding these kind of medical professionals accountable.
The fortunate part was that I found out sooner than later.
