Airport of the city of Milan located 50 km in the territory of the province of Varese.
No. 2 in Italy for the amount of passengers passing through, but No. 1 as a freight terminal.
The airport is divided into two terminals, the No. 1 for intercontinental flights and the No. 2 exclusively for the Low coast flights of the Easy Jet company.
Quite modern airport, very busy and has recently undergone a restyling with modernizations.
Numerous buses, taxis and a train make it easy to get around the city.

At least it's clean. But waiting for luggage and queues at check-in is a third-world thing. As well as the wild parking in the surroundings (thank goodness that at least there are the cameras with the limit of 10 minutes).

Excellent airport connected to the whole world. Very busy. Friendly and prepared staff. Clean as airport. And with many shops. The only thing that you check on 11 posts they work few and create queues for the rest is great.

Outdated, poorly served by transports, main Italian airline (Alitalia) decided to move away from this airport as a hub. Few shops, mostly closed, and poor quality food. Uncomfortable with its competitors

Large airport

Large airport
- Large airport with a good transport system between terminals and the city.
- Long walks to departure gates.
- Shopping before passport control is this not strange?
- The airport is a bit dated.
- Some effort in smoking facilities at departures but I do not understand why they always try to extract the smoke via mechanical means? It would make a lot more sense if the smoking area was a partly covered outdoor affair. This would also be a lot more healthy for the smokers and non- smokers.
- Inadequate seating facilities.
- Expensive duty free shopping It s cheaper in Town.
- No Milan soccer T-shirts for sale?
- The lounge I visited at gate B04 is appalling without smoking facilities and a very limited availability of drinks and food I opted to not to stay there.
Kind Regards
Roeland and Mandy

Maybe one of the worst airports I've been. Some of the staff are rowdy and some behave like mafias towards asians. Very unorganised airport in many ways. The layout is dated and the amenities are hopeless.

Amazing that I booked your viamilano service for transfer between terminal 1&2, on 8:30AM arrived until 8:50 there is no person in the counter neither a notes explaining working hour.

Have no option but to take a taxi. After getting on the taxi and started driving the driver said 20 euro fix rate.

Terminal 2 the elder lady in counter 55 is so inpatient to take off her eyes from the mobile keep sighing I really wish you had a good life though.

I saw my language on every board. Thank you for making these by indeed one of the worst airport service experienced.

An old airport, dirty, badly served and with the usual Italian staff that makes rudeness the normal modus operandi. We are light years from any European airport. An Amsterdam schiphol of 20 years ago was already the future compared to this sideshow. I'll be careful not to ever happen again ..

Taiwan passports can be automatically cleared and stamped by the immigration officer at the back. Even public transport has buses (many operating, 10 euros to Milan station) and railways (expensive, not much faster than buses)

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! Horrendous experience the whole way from drop off by our taxi till we boarded the plane (not helped by the low level of cleanliness - especially of the toilet facilities)

The two worst stem from staffing at the airport being woefully inadequate.

1 - As non-EU citizens with purchases we were claiming tax back on, there was no staff member to stamp our receipt for 20 minutes and no idea where they were or when they would be returning to their open office. When he arrived back from what (based on his smell) I believe was a smoke break, he was playing on his phone rather than taking notice of the line of people waiting for him. He didn't even check the goods, just stamped the receipt and sent us to the tax return claim line.

2 - Passport control. How this airport runs with such horrendous passport control is beyond me. We low balled our estimate of the number of people who cut into the non-EU line at about 60. People trying to push in and when people wouldn't let them cut in front just using physical force or ducking under barriers. Not a staff member in sight to try and prevent this or keep things orderly. We were talking to some fellow travellers in line, all patiently waiting our turn when 3 of us who'd just met in line (2 young Australian women and 1 young Tunisian woman) all got pushed aside by a group of men charging through. Myself and the other young Australian woman were fine but the young Tunisian woman was pushed with such force she was nearly knocked to the ground as she went sideways into the barrier and was thankfully caught by someone else in the queue. Now I understand that Malpensa Airport can't be blamed for the rudeness of other passengers but clearly given the length of time we waited in line they need to employ more passport control staff and have an airport staff member keeping watch of the line to ensure passengers doing the right thing are not borderline assaulted.

Simple airport, convenient parking and reach it by public transport and private car, but I think it should be modernized, in addition within the airport facility there is no connection between Arrivals and Departures you have to exit, and at 11.40pm there is no longer an open bar, which in my opinion is rather negative for being Malpensa Airport.

The airport like all airports with the good news and defects, but what bothered me most is the arrogance, the arrogance and the abuse of office of the employees (a young woman and a young man) to board for Barcelona on 23 November late in the morning. Stupid people with little power in their hands ..

Terminal 1; The line for passport control at 6am (usually busy time) was very long, only 2 booth were open for both international and Italian citizens where as the Italian citizens had their own machines which were not working. After alot of complaints (meaning people yelling like in a fish market) another booth opened. To add to the agony, a man fainted in the middle of the cue, the permedic arrived 10 minutes later EMPTY handed, meanwhile the 3rd booth police officer stayed with him (meaning there were only 2 booth working at this moment). Then the permedic went to get a stretcher and again with no help whatsoever to carry the man who could barely open his eyes. I am not sure if there were other passengers who missed their flight because of this incompetence but I nearly missed mine. Bare in mind that this is an "international" airport, and there was no one to complain to or call. Horrible experience

It is incredible that in many years they still cannot deliver their bags in decent times, indeed they seem to get worse. It really makes you feel like we are the third world in Europe. What a shame!

One of the oldest airport with all the modern facilities. Group staff are very professional. Duty free shopping area has lot of options. It offers wines at lesser price compared to what is available in middle east where they say tax is less. Good option of chocolates as well. All is one good airport.

The airport is huge is excellent, but as is common in most Italian cities the airport is far from the center of Milan.
U need to take a train in the amount of 14 euros to get to the central station of Milan. Only careful on time because the train does not work between 1:30 am and 5:30 am. Taxi from the airport to central Milan around 130 euros!

Worst organization possible in an airport.

Worst organization possible in an airport.

Very poor flow management so you will probably be stuck in the queues.
Warning: they have a system of "fast-pass" in addition (I do not speak business classes and, but a supplement that can be bought to double everyone, in exchange for 10 euros). To believe that it is so done ???? I never saw that, it's not Disney land ...

Otherwise aging airport, friendliness of staff that leaves something to be desired; and approximate English in all airport services.
(It is also very far from the center but a train can take you there for 12 ).

Big Airport and if you're running late you may miss your flight due to Check-In being separate from your gate.

There's an express train that goes to Milano Centrale but it's about a 45 minute journey.

Plenty of high-end stores to do some shopping before and after your flight: Gucci, Hugo Boss, Chanel, Furla & More.

An international airport of this size, it would have many more information points to accompany users. Beautiful facility with many services and shops inside. Compared to a normal airport, consider an additional 30 minutes to reach boarding from the chekin.

Disgusting toilets.
We almost missed Our Flight because Security took more than one Hour. Only 4 Gates Open for More than 1000 people. Staff super uncoordinated. Gates are so far away we ran! 10 Minuten to the gate . Walking would have Taken 30min. You First have to pass all the shops.

Very bad, compared to other European airports. The information is incomplete. The employees, both at the airport and the airlines, especially at the counter, seem to do you a favor by assisting you. And I consulted in several places. A separate mention to use the wifi: to complete all the steps and access, surely, you miss the flight.
