Memberships are very misleading, do not set up right expectations, and what looks like a yearly charge is a quarterly charge. Definitely not worth the money. And good luck trying to speak with someone not in sales.

After connecting with this business, I m still not completely sure what it is. I had a call with a representative out of curiosity, but it only lasted about five minutes. She basically told me it is a paid service that I wasn t a good fit for even though we barely discussed anything. I have experience on multiple boards, so I m not sure what the required qualifications are. Perhaps she didn t think I could afford the fees for some reason? Whatever this is supposed to be, it s quite confusing.

I run a small software development company and believe there would be value in the platform by looking for potential advisory board opportunities. The platform requires a good deal of commitment to actually see some value. That is ok, as long as you have a couple hours a week to work on connecting with potential boards. My biggest concern is their billing practices, they are predatory and will automatically renew your subscription without emails, notice. Even after you had explicitly stated you wanted your account paused. The cancellation process requires you to jump through hoops and it is simply put shady. Be very cautious, of this company. I do not recommend to use this platform.

I find it funny that the founder of this company says " he never really used the platform and he quit on it" there is more there, but I won't go into it. It's very clear that he wrote his own review and then answered himself. I'll bet most of the good reviews here are fake. So you can please stop hawking your sales emails to me.

Saw an ad on LinkedIn to register for the AdvisoryCloud networking platform to explore board opportunities. I was curious and so I clicked, which led to a call to action for me to set up a time to learn more. Only after taking the time to have the call did I learn that this is a subscription model where I would be charged monthly to be on this networking platform. In addition, half the call focused on the account exec telling me how great the company is instead of telling me what the opportunity is for me the customer. Not a transparent value proposition or clear product definition for the consumer. I hope they improve their user experience.

This company is an online scam! I highly recommend that you do not try the "free" trial they offer. They make it extremely difficult to cancel and before you know it, they are charging you $350.00. By the time I finally figured out how to cancel, the company refused to refund my charges. The company offered me absolutely nothing for what they charged me.

Honestly I believe this company is a scam. The sales rep lied about the cost and did not mention that your money will not be refunded. We cancelled before even being onboarded so we never received any service. We cancelled after seeing how much the company charged our card because not only was that price ever discussed but WE DID NOT AUTHORIZE THAT AMOUNT TO BE CHARGED ON OUR CARD. Please read the reviews on BBB, LinkedIn, or simply search reviews about the company online to see for yourself. Keeping our fingers crossed that we get a refund but will be contacting our local police to report this fraudulent company.

Just joined the AdvisoryCloud and I am eagerly waiting to be approved for my first Advisory Board. The onboarding was very straightforward and the staff have been responsive so far.
