Students at Advantage Learn in Durban often find the FS Physics content engaging and well-structured. The textbooks and slides provided are genuinely helpful for grasping new ideas. Mr. Rod’s passion for teaching really shines through; he keeps students focused and makes complex concepts easy to understand. However, the rigid testing schedule can be a drawback since everyone has different study rhythms. Allowing a longer window, similar to the extra IT classes, would let students manage their time better. Also, losing a high percentage of marks for minor errors in low-weight assessments hurts grades significantly. Shifting toward assessing the problem-solving process rather than just final answers would offer a fairer reflection of student ability.

Balancing Grade 11 studies with extracurriculars is tough, and the lessons can be a bit long, but I never mind because the content is so engaging. Tyler Rodrigues does a great job explaining concepts clearly and sparking discussions on modern research. It’s been a rewarding experience, and I’m really glad I chose Advantage Learn to take my passion for physics to the next level.
