Advanced Wellness Centre Review

The massage workshop was an incredible waste of my time. The 30 minute massage that I received a week later was only 20 minutes long and very poorly executed.

I thought maybe that they were overwhelmed by the initial Groupon response (it happens) but I have noticed now that they release a Groupon every few months. Honestly I think their entire operation is a scam.

If I could remove stars I would. The receptionist was rude. The hours are not convenient. I saw the owner practically push someone down the stairs for making an emplomempl inquiry. Also, having a pet might be relaxing, but listing to it bark during a treatment is not.

Cherina takes the time to really listen and understand what is going on with you. It was really refreshing to find hope after seeing so many Western doctors that couldn't offer me a solution that didn't include a pill. Thank You!

I had hip pain that they said they were 99%* sure they could fix if I sign up for their 50 sessions discount over 6 months to a year. **On paper they never say they guarantee**.

They tell you they can help you with your problems with 100% confidence. With the help of a real doctor we discovered I had an impinged hip which the chiropractor cannot fix. If you tell them you cannot afford their several thousand dollar 'deal', they will offer to fiance it.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Love these guys! Dr. Pfaff and Cherina are amazing, friendly, accommodating. They have helped me over the past 4 years with headaches, neck and shoulder pain and low back pain. Down to earth, and fast, friendly service always.

I've been having chiro and accupuncture done here for quite some time and have absolutely loved the treatment I've received. Pain free in many areas I had lived with for years.

I am a fairly new patient to the Advanced Wellness Centre and from my initial consultation to 3 weeks of treatment later, I could not be more happy. Dr. Pfaff and Cherina go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and get you on the right path of good health.

I recently started acupuncture with Cherina and knowing my fear of needles, she was very patient and gentle with me.

I could not recommend Advance Wellness Centre enough and I thank them for getting me on the road to recovery.

Cherina, Dr. P are the best and take an active interest in your personal and physical well being. A treat to go to appointments and have everything explained to me.

I am amazed at the number of people who post reviews after a freebie, without caring enough for themselves to go through a whole treatment at the Advanced Wellness Centre. It's as if they are rating marketing skills, not healing abilities. Healing takes time. I am very grateful to Dr. Pfaff for my new pain-free body and a regained feeling of overall wellness. And thank you, Cherina, for opening my eyes on commonsensical eating and...even on the tip on "organic wine" that doesn't give me headaches any more. I'm happy I found the Advanced Wellness Centre and I'd be glad to share my great experience there with anyone at any time.

Went there for the couple message class and really enjoyed it! The instructor passion is contagious! She is very knowledgeable.

We bought a Groupon for the acupressure massage class and 30 minute couples massage.

We really enjoyed the acupressure massage class. Cherina is an excellent teacher and was very attentive to each couple. My only concern was my partner complained of tingling in his hands when being massaged. Cherina jumped to the conclusion, without any tests, that this was carpal tunnel. I felt this is a hefty and brave diagnosis to make for someone who isn't a medical practitioner. I am an optometrist and even with my medical experience I would never diagnose someone despite my thoughts. Instead I would explain they need further investigation and refer them to the appropriate specialist.

I did feel there was a sales push to return for a wellness assessment that was heavily discounted as an incentive. I am not exactly sure what we paid for in the wellness assessment and did not find it good value for money. The Chiropractor Dr Pfaff didn't mention a word to my partner about "Carpal Tunnel" on examination. For me, Cherina asked me to rank and list my top complaints I would like rectified. I also emphasized I didn't want to be treated by a chiropractor. Quickly realizing this was the only option after a heavy sales push, I agreed to meet with the chiropractor and be open-minded. Out of my top 3 complaints the only one Dr Pfaff seemed able to offer treatment for was my 3rd complaint which was the least of my concerns and worries by a long stretch. To add injury to insult (excuse the pun) after our assessments there was a huge push for us to sign up for treatment. Cherina even asked my partner to call his health insurance company to see if it was covered there and then and she tried to guilt trip me into taking care of my health. She knew at the time I was not working and that having treatment by a chiropractor for an issue that wasn't a huge concern to me was not a top priority.

We upgraded to a 60 minute couples massage. I presumed a couples massage would be done together in the same room but on booking the massages I learnt that the only day they have two massage therapists in together was a Wednesday evening or Saturday. This was very limiting as we wanted to enjoy the experience together at the same time. Additionally I was disappointed that the massages were not done by RMT's and that the massages lasted only 50 minutes each not 60. But the massage therapists did do a good job and were friendly, chatty and worked on areas we wanted.

All in all I would recommend the Massage class and advise keeping to a 30 minute massage rather than a 60 minute one. Avoid the Wellness Assesment as it is an expensive con.

I am not happy with the service here. The website is not up to date the hours are short and do not work for the average working person. The services was terrible how can you relax with a dog. do not spend money here.

I d classify myself as a fairly skeptical thinker on a lot of things but having a long and frustrating recovery from frozen shoulder, I started thinking about other forms of treatment as an option. I d heard from a couple of people that acupuncture had worked wonders for them and I gave it a try. I wasn t expecting much success but boy am I glad to have met Cherina at Advanced Wellness Centre. After three sessions, I ve regained almost 100% mobility in my shoulder, removed the clickiness and can lay on my shoulder again with almost no pain. This is a huge improvement. Additionally, Cherina is kind and patiently answers questions and is also owner of one of the cutest pups I ve ever met. I d highly recommend Advanced Wellness and Cherina. Cheers

Highly recommend this place. I attended the couples massage class a month ago , my girlfriend and I both benefited from the techniques the workshop provided.

I also got directed in the right direction for the pain and discomfort in my neck, back, and hips. I have being receiving chiropractic care for the last month and have noticed night and day results ! Great to feel young again . Playing the best hockey of my life now lol ;)

Dr. Pfaff and Cherina are amazing! Did some acupuncture to get rid of pain for my injured hip and for my migraines, and I immediately noticed a difference. I also felt much better after just one chiropractic adjustment. Advanced Wellness Centre is a very warm and welcoming environment. I highly recommend this clinic!

I came into Advanced Wellness Centre suffering from years of back pain. Within weeks they had my pain greatly reduced and set up a treatment plan to have that pain removed completely. Every week is better than the last.

The staff is so wonderful. They always have a very positive and happy attitude.

This place is the REAL DEAL! I was in town on holiday and hurting bad from traveling. I was desperate for an appointment and Cherina got me in quickly. I have had ALOT of acupuncture over the years and holy smokes was I impressed! Cherina is a talented practitioner and knows what she is doing. I had such a great experience at Advanced Wellness Centre! Cherina is such a great listener and so professional. She helped me so much with my fatigue and low energy and the bonus is that after a few treatments my knee was so much better too!! I highly recommend Cherina!

I have used this place for quite some time. Dr Pfaff and shareena (sorry if I butcher the spelling) are exceptionally friendly and professional. They really care about the patients I dont see anywhere else and go above and beyond for patient care. If i ever have an issue i have no problem coming here to get it resolved. I cannot recommend AWC enough.

Seriously, though, came to see Cherina about something else entirely, but as I mentioned a pulled muscle in my calf, she wanted to help (this is her normal M.O.). Now, we've all been there, haven't we? That iron bar that seems to take up residence right in the middle of the calf, pulling and pushing at once. Well, faster than you can say "acupuncture", she fixed it. I walked out of my appointment a new woman. I could have run home!

Check her out. She can make a real difference to your training. And, it doesn't her hurt that she's one of the nicest, kindest souls around.

The Advanced Wellness Centre is such a special place. I don't normally enjoy going to appointments for pain treatment, however the atmosphere in their offices are so relaxed, it feels like your at home. I am so impressed with Cherina and Dr. Pfaff. Dr. Pfaff has been wonderful with helping my back issues through chiropractic treatment, and Cherina is literally an angel. I started seeing her a few weeks ago for acupuncture for intense pain in my calf and she is SO knowledgeable. She explains the exact treatments she's doing and wants to find the cause of my pain - not just give me a temporary fix. I couldn't stay sitting down for more than a few hours previously or I was in excruciating pain, and with her treatments I've been able to have pain relief for most of the work day. I look forward to continuing treatments here!

I had an amazing experience here. I'm from NY and was visiting family when I slipped on my cousins kids toys and took a bad fall down the stairs. I hurt my back and my shoulder and was in a lot of pain. I didn't want to spend the little time I had lying in bed and then the thought of the long drive back to NY with a bad back & shoulder. I googled around and found Advanced Wellness Center, after my 1st treatment I felt so much better. I went for a few days in a row and by the end I felt 90% better. What a lifesaver, I cannot imagine the pain and misery and the precious time ruined if I didn't find these guys. Thank you Cherina and staff!

Con artists more interested in misleading sales tactics than actually helping patients. Stay away from this place. They're also not above breaking employment laws to save money.

It is not a massage it is finger points on the mussels and could be hurting experience with not enough training; not really beneficial.

I've seen a huge improvement in my neck pain since I started seeing Dr Pfaff. The clinic is very friendly and welcoming! All the staff is always helpful and smilling and it makes my day :)

Ottawa's best wellness center, with a chiropractor and acupuncturist combo that focuses on one main thing, producing RESULTS for their patients. I've gone to many other acupuncturists and chiropractors and very few of them focus on producing results, they focus on being the most affordable clinic, which I learned the hard way doesn't always equate to ME getting results. I sent my aunt to Dr. Dave and Cherina, because she's been suffering from chronic neck pain, lower back pain and knee pain for 15 years. Dr. Dave and Cherina not only eliminated her pains but has kept my aunt pain free which has allowed her to be able to stand in the kitchen to do what she loves the most, cooking. I'm writing this review for my aunt, because her English is not so good. Cherina also teaches an awesome Couples Massage Class that my aunt and uncle attended, which they absolutely loved. My aunt told me prior to going to Advanced Wellness Center, she tried other chiropractors and acupuncturists who were "cheaper" and she did get some pain relief, it was short lived and she ended up spending thousands because it took the practitioners 3-5x more treatments to produce the results that Dr. Dave and Cherina could produce in 1 treatment. So if you are looking for a wellness center that focuses on producing long lasting results for their patients, I highly recommend Dr. Dave and Cherina at Advanced Wellness Center

I am a new patient to Advanced Wellness Centre for chronic low back pain. I am pleased with the treatment I am receiving. Dr. P explains what he is doing during the adjustments to my neck and back. I have signed up for a number of treatments, this fits well with my personality as I like to know what affect the treatment is having on my body and what I need to do at home to compliment the treatment. The office is well organized to maintain physical distancing between patients, body temperature is checked before treatment and the area is wiped down after each patient. I appreciate the care and diligence Advance Wellness is taking to prevent the spread of covid-19 and protect the patient and staff. I highly recommend Advance Wellness for chiropractice care.

I suffered from tension headaches almost every day. Thanks to Charina my headaches have decreased a lot! Acupuncture has changed my life!
